Okay so in my AP Bio class we're presenting different genetic disorders and I chose color blindness. I thought it would be a cool idea to dissect an eyeball and take pictures of the retina under a microscope. It took a while to pry out the retina because it's so thin and delicate but I finally got it out and onto a slide. I was wondering if anyone could please tell me what exactly I found in the picture. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone knew the proper anatomy so that I could label it more efficiently. It's a sheep eyeball by the way if it makes any difference.

Hi all , I'll very appreciate your assistance! I need to : "Study the web server's code, and find examples of code vulnerable to memory corruption through a buffer overflow. For each vulnerability, describe the buffer which may overflow, how you would structure the input to the web server (i.e., the HTTP request) to overflow the buffer, and whether the vulnerability can be prevented using stack canaries. Locate at least 5 different vulnerabilities." the web server's code The zookws web server consists of the following components. - zookld, a launcher daemon that launches services configured in the file zook.conf. - zookd, a dispatcher that routes HTTP re…

If we have a closed box filled with liquid . It is given a horizontal acceleration g/2 and a vertical acceleration g/2 . Then I tried to find the angle of the free surface with the horizontal . It should be tan^(-1) 1/2 as slope is equal to tan^(-1)a(x)/g . But here there is vertical acceleration does it affect the slope . Any help is appreciated

I know that D is methylbenzene. Also they say in the task, that sulfonation of d gives two isomers, and the reactions further are conducted upon the main isomer. I think it is para-sulfotoluene, because of steric reasons. Next simple chlorination, and oxidation of side chain alkyl group (methyl) and G is 2-chloro-4-sulfobenzoic acid And that is when the trouble begins: I don't know what happens next. I know that carboxylic acid chloride can be synthesized only with SOCl2 So may be there will be chlorination of sulfo group and the water will just remove it? and finally we will have ortho-chlorobenzoic acid? If am not right, where i have a mistake?

The question asks: Recall that you observed very little corrosion occurring on the iron nail immersed in NaOH(aq) solution. This observation is difficult to explain from an electrochemistry perspective since electrochemistry principles predict a spontaneous reaction that should cause corrosion. Explain why there was no corrosion on this nail from an equilibrium perspective using the half-reaction shown below: O2(g) + 2 H2O(l) + 4 e- --> 4 OH-(aq) I understand that the reaction is spontaneous between NaOH(aq) and Fe(s), yet no visible precipitate forms. From an equilibrium perspective though, I am truly stumped. It obviously has something to do with Le Chât…

Hey everyone, this isn't strictly a homework problem but I'm curious about electrochemistry, went a bit ahead in my book, and I found something that doesn't seem to add up. Could you help me please? Okay, so I was looking at the enthalpy change from the reaction of the Daniell Cell and found that its around -210 kJ, a value that agrees with the net ionic equation (when I looked up standard enthalpies of formation for Cu2+ and Zn2+): Cu2+(aq) + Zn(s) -> Zn2+(aq) + Cu(s) But here's my problem: the first and second ionization energies of Copper add up to 2702kJ/mol. If it takes 2702kJ to ionize one mole of Copper into Cu2+ (that is, remove the first two e-) …

Hi, i was doing a science project on LEDs, and i needed to calculate optical output power versus input electrical power to find relative wall plug efficiency. This is the only good formula i found Optical output power of LED (watts) =Nlinearfactor × Voltage drop across resistor (volts) Pout = N × Vres What is N exactly? I do not know how to calculate optical output power as I dont know what help is. Id appreciate help a lot, thanks. All the values I have are experimental. Im trying to calculate the relative wall plug efficiency of an LED. heres my data right now. I do not have a data sheet and the steps Im following at this point are somewhat modeled of those shown here: …

A piston of mass M = 3kg and radius R = 4cm has a hole into which a thin pipe of radius r = 1cm is inserted. The piston can enter a cylinder tightly and without friction, and initially it is at the bottom of the cylinder. 750gm of water is now poured into the pipe so that the piston & pipe are lifted up as shown. Find the height H of water in the cylinder and height h of water in the pipe.

I need to interview someone partaking in current, official research for my biology class. The interview will only take a few minutes online and I already have the questions ready. Thank you. yeah im still online right now I should probably add anyone doing research in a field related to biology, i guess. The interview is only 5 questions and will be conducted right here.

At age 48, Joe felt awkward about falling from his bicycle, especially without his helmet. After an initial recovery he felt like his urination frequency had increased and he was often thirsty. A physical exam revealed inadequate levels of ADH (vasopressin) in his system. What is the disease in this case, and how may it be resolved?

In my physics class, we were assigned to come up with a toy that would show case some concepts of thermodynamics. I was planning on making a toy car that will be powered by a pocket fan. (The pocket fan will be mounted on the rear end of the car so that it would push the car forward. Third law of motion). However, is this in anyway related to thermodynamics? Thanks

Let M ⊂ H be a closed linear subspace that is not reduced to {0}. Let f ∈ H,f /∈ M⊥. 1. Prove that m = inf(f, u) u∈M |u|=1 is uniquely achieved. 2. Let ϕ1, ϕ2, ϕ3 ∈ H be given and let E denote the linear space spanned by {ϕ1, ϕ2, ϕ3}. Determine m in the following cases: (i) M = E, (ii) M = E⊥. 3. Examine the case in which H = L2(0, 1), ϕ1(t) = t,ϕ2(t) = t2, and ϕ3(t) = t3

Hi We are working in the lab with enzym (serum),... and we have to make a p-nitrophenyl phosphate and a p-nitrophenol solution (10mM), but we have to solve it in HCl (1 mM), I can't figure out why? Because it's also soluble in water... Other details: the pH is 10 (glycin buffer), we stop the reaction with 100 mM NaOH,.. Can someone help us?

What is the limiting reactant when 31.3 g of manganese (II) chloride, 48.3 g of chlorine, and 25.7 g of water react to produce manganese (IV) oxide and how much hydrochloric acid is produced? When I wrote the balanced equation I got MnCl2 + Cl2 + 2H2O = MnO2 + 4HCl and when I attempted to find how much HCl was produced I came up with 104.2g... which is not an answer choice. ( 25.7*4*36.5/18*2 = 104.2) Can someone check my math or tell me what I am doing wrong? I am also unsure how to go about finding the limiting reactant. This is a review for a final and I'm a little rusty. Any help is appreciated. Thx

I've done all the work, I just keep coming up wrong on my math. I'm not sure what I'm missing. The equilibrium constant, Kp, for the following reaction is 0.636 at 600 K: COCl2(g) CO(g) + Cl2(g) Calculate the equilibrium partial pressures of all species when COCl2(g) is introduced into an evacuated flask at a pressure of 1.73 atm at 600 K. PCOCl2= PCO= PCl2= setting up ICE, I know that Kp=x/(1.73-x)=.636 (.636)[1.73-x]^2=x (.636)[1.73^2-2(1.73)x + x^2]=x (.636)x^2-[2(1.73)(.636)+1]x + (.636)(1.73)^2 x^2-[2(1.73)+1/(.636)]x + 1.73^2= 0 a=1 b= -[2(1.73)+1/(.636)]= -5.032 c= (1.73)^2= 2.993 quadratic equation such that: [(-5.032)^2-4(2.993)]^1/2 = [13.349]^1/2= …

Hi, I need to build a homemade thermos for my grade 7 heat project. I was thinking of using a plastic water bottle as the container, and then put cotton pads and tin foil around it. But I don't think that will suffice to keep it warm long enough. does anyone have suggestions. The project is due soon so please help. NOTE: The Cotton pads will have "air pockets that will reduce convection, then I will wrap them in tape and attach the tinfoil so it will reduce radiation and the insulation I add will reduce conduction. Please correct me if i'm wrong.
