But it is still just your personal belief. That doesn't make it real or true. And the consciousness in this human doesn't understand or belief any such thing. As far as this consciousness is concerned, you are just making it up.2 points

One was a comment about a persons looks and heritage (over which they have no control) and the other was about a persons actions and failure to stand up for principles. The suggested equivalence is false. That said... It sure is a good thing neither of them were kneeling peacefully on a football field or we’d have a real problem on our hands.1 point

Somewhere in Reuters there's an article that Europe is aiming tariffs on goods from Republican-controlled areas, hoping to hurt their election chances. This seems a reasonable strategy.1 point

Apart from the fact that the old "cogito ergo sum" argument is seriously flawed, this says nothing about the consciousness being independent of the body nor does it provide any support for a creator or supreme being or higher power. I know that was Descartes intention but, despite the fact he was smarter than you or me, his argument basically boils down to "God exists because I believe he does". Which, surprisingly, is the same argument you are making. And, basically, all "logical" arguments for the existence of god(s) are the same; they only "work" if you already believe in the conclusion and are therefore willing to overlook the flaws in the logic. Anyone who doesn't already believe which just stand by open-mouthed thinking, "What? Really? You think that's rational?"1 point

You're making the mistake of conflating ideas you've developed that make sense only to you with those obtained through a reasoned approach. If you had actually used critical thinking and a trustworthy methodology, your "reasoning" would be obvious to everyone. It's a common mistake these days. "Reason" doesn't mean "think about this a lot until it makes sense to you". "Logic" and "theory" suffer similarly.1 point

Any evidence for that claim? Do you have any evidence that the consciousness exists independently from everything around it? But even if it were true (and I see zero reason to believe it) it doesn't logically follow that a higher power is responsible. So you keep saying. But I don't find your repeated statements of belief very convincing. If you had some evidence to support these claims ...1 point

Self-replicating molecules might even be a necessity emerging from thermodynamics itself, as they are really good at dispersing an imbalance in energy distribution. If this imbalance is sustained for a sufficient amount of time, molecules that reproduce more efficiently get the upper hand. E voila: evolution. https://www.quantamagazine.org/a-new-thermodynamics-theory-of-the-origin-of-life-20140122/1 point

I already have defined those special circumstances. When time is a long time ago, or a long time in future. Or when distance is a long way away. I'm not here to do science, i'm here to ask questions about science. Its not a random idea. It taken from the 2nd postulate of special relativity where there is no limitation stated on (s-t), nor is there any limitation on inertial frames of reference. I am simply questioning those limitations. You have already hinted that during inflation, there are some theories to a varying speed of light. So when t=very early on, physics were different and special relativity fails, but the postulates do not reference these limitations either.1 point

You want to prove a negative? Secondly, science isn't about "proof" ...It's about scientific theories that are the best explanation at the time, and are open for possible modification and or total change: Of course those scientific theories such as SR GR and the BB, that continue to explain and make successful predictions, do gain in certainty over time. It is a postulate of SR because it is required to explain length contraction and time dilation. YaDinguhs answered that quite well I thought as follows...... Again scientific theories are not about proof. Read the first answer.1 point

They really are not. Zeus and Saturn exist at the mercy of the Fates, much like the mortal man, and can even be killed. What you describe seems more akin to the Hindu concept of God, Brahman: God not as a separate thing which created another thing called the universe, but God as the universe itself. Not an actor creating, but creation itself. Very different to the Abrahamic god who casts judgement onto his 'creations'. Humans have very different ideas of what god is; they are not all 'ultimately the same thing' - unless you stop taking them literally and realise they are all allegories. So which god?1 point

Could have. But with no evidence for that, it is just as plausible that it was hyper-intelligent white mice. Or the flying spaghetti monster. Or nothing.1 point

... so you made it up? Doesn't look like evidence or proof or proper understanding or secret facts to me. The line I used to take (rather than making stuff up) - was to use biblical passage - regarding the 6 days.. it says in the bible that a day to the Lord is like a thousand years. I saw creation as 6 time periods rather than literal days. But after a while I saw how tenuous that was too - why would god be so cryptic - why not just explain himself and tell it how it is instead of giving us mythical stories, seeing as there is supposed to be so much at stake and all... - answer is - he isn't actually there and it a made up construct of the human psyche. . I think it can be hard to accept if you have had 'a close personal relationship' with god. You have to come to terms that what you have believed for many years is delusion and myth and has no evidence for any of it being based in reality at all. Open your eyes - the truth will set you free.1 point

Did you try making red beetroots sour soup.. ? Put cleaned and peeled red beetroots to glass jar, fill to maximum level, by cooked and cooled water with a 1-2 salt spoons per L (preferably sea salt), with garlic, sliced onions, dried dill (fennel), whole pepper, dried bay leafs, and few other whole spices. Leave it undercover for a few days, maybe a week. From time to time open cover to release gases. After that you will have tasty pickled beetroots, with red looking liquid, don't throw it away. It's perfect for making red beetroots sour soups. It can be also drink as-is. You will have there also pickled garlic and pickled onions.1 point

From https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retrocausality Retrocausality is very fringy in physics, but it does a better job of explaining the instantaneous communication of entangled particles than anything @Ant Sinclair has provided. Another conjecture that is better than anything @Ant Sinclair has provided for aforementioned phenomenon is ER=EPR (Wikipedia) : Now that I've provided 2 targets, maybe you want to present 2 attack vectors to support your "theory"1 point

If only this were an imagination forum, or a make up any fictional shit one wants forum, then perhaps you’d have a leg to stand on. Given that it’s a science forum, however, you’re rather clearly derelict in your responsibility to support your assertions with more than mere handwaving and Gish galloping.1 point

Of course its made up nonsense! Even the Catholic church has recognised the observational evidence supporting both the BB and the theory of evolution of life. They then though go about installing their "god of the gaps" within that epoch that science thus far are ignorant of...quite convenient of them, while science continues to push back the veil of ignorance and supernatural spaghetti monster nonsense..1 point

If it's not made up nonsense then you should be able to connect us with a link that explains why it is not nonsense...1 point

I’m a huge fan of good soup. Such an easy way to extract maximum value from ingredients and get vitamins in a way that tastes amazing. My wife makes fun of me, but practically every time I’m home alone and get the house to myself when she visits her parents for a few days, I make homemade soup. Roaster chicken. Pull every last bit of meat from the bones, especially the delicious dark bits around the spine. Put the bones and tendons and a few scraps of skin into a pressure cooker with a few chopped carrots, onions, and celery. Sauté with some salt before covering with water and sealing. Delicious gelatinous stock in 60 minutes. Strain, and add to a larger pot with lots more carrots, onions, and celery. Add the chicken, a few bay leaves and diced tomatoes (tomato paste if you want it richer). Let it cook for a few hours and keep adding water as it evaporates and condenses. Add a bunch of frozen mixed vegetables, long grain (wild mixed grains, if possible) rice, and cook until rice is done. Ladel into bowl with a knob of butter. Holy hell, it’s so good, so nourishing, and is so making my mouth water and stomach growl right now! Probably one of my favorite things to eat on the whole planet and eith basically only 4 ingredients.1 point

So far, NOTHING this administration has done has been to benefit normal people. Everything has a hidden investment agenda for the extremist business people who seem to be aiming for 100% private ownership of everything. This is exploiting desperate people. This is like extending credit in a friendly game of poker to someone who has been losing steadily, using the justification that he has a right to earn his money back. It's a scam, imo. Why have an FDA if you're going to approve unproven treatments?0 points

Obviously your logic is lacking to do so with my last post. Would you like to know where some serious physics comes into this(Are you watching from beyond the grave Mr Maxwell)?-1 points

Get out of here - is that all you've got - shameful from a Man of "learning". Would you Coyote, like to know where the real physics kick in???-1 points

I'll be generous and let you in on a little secret about Magnetism; Length of Verse = 14.65 billion light years Time until our Magnetic Cage fully formed = 78,000 years(Earth Years) 14.65^9 x 9.461^15 = 1.386^26 metres 78,000 x 365.24 x 24 x 60 x 60 = 2.461^12 seconds 1.386^26metres / 2.461^12 seconds = 5.631^13 m/s 5.631^13 m/S / C(speed of light) = approx 187,700C Magnetic fields propagate at over 187,000 times the speed of light Mordred!!! Spooky Action at a Distance' Speed Cry baby, oh dear-1 points

Didn't your folks explain sticks and stones to you when you were little, and Cry Baby is such a terrible thing to say to somebody, my autotext must have remembered Koti from our last discussion - Oh My God-1 points

Do you know this team Strange, maybe you could link them to this thread as they're quite a bit out - 18 fold(smiles); "Now, thanks to these Chinese physicists — the same ones who broke the quantum teleportation distance record last year — we know that spooky action at a distance has a lower bound of four orders of magnitude faster than light, or around 3 trillion meters per second. We say “at least,” because the physicists do not rule out that spooky action is actually instantaneous — but their testing equipment and methodology simply doesn’t allow them to get any more accurate." They have the value at around 10,,000C - Amateurs(smiles again).-1 points

It's not made up nonsense at all Strange, but, I'll admit I haven't been totally straight as regards spooky action speed, you see I used the terrible Metric System to show 187,820, the Creator of this Multiverse likes wholesome numbers, the true value is 432^2, that's 186,624(wink).-2 points

Lol, who do I link you to Moontannman, we'll have to wait for the Chinese to dream up the methodology to test for 432^2C, I can't see western Scientists figuring this out - too arrogant and too little imagination. You don't half droll on.-2 points
