True. Let's name your object "O". True. In my opinion both are right. An object O pushed by a force in Unity3D seems to behave as Swansont states, it will gain momentum and behave pretty realistic within the limits of the physical model. There is zero total momentum when simulation starts and a non-zero total momentum at some time later; total momentum in the "universe" in the Unity3D model is not, and not designed to be, conserved. OP seems to argue that this lack of momentum conservation tells us something about physics outside the 3D software. Dagl1's suggestion is to model a complete little "universe" where there is zero momentum at time=0 and zero total momentum at any later time due to correctly modelled forces and counter forces. Sorry if this confuses the discussion further. But the question seems to directly address possible misunderstandings of OP regarding the modelling in the physics engine.2 points

I'd wager money Trump has a monetary interest (or a close "friend" with an interest) in increasing sales of hydroxychlorquine. His cheerleading to me screams of stock price manipulation.1 point

I don't think it's an inherent problem with the CDC, it's been ok until now, it's a problem of White House administration overreach. It's just one more symptom of this administration's apparent desire to to corrupt the machinery of governance and oversight to their own ends.1 point

Not sure whether you are aware of this info guys, but he today threatened the Indian government for banning the export of this drug: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-521806601 point

Sure, it depends on the theory you want to engage. A unit line segment has volume zero in the Euclidean plane, and measure one on the real line, and it has cardinality \(2^{\aleph_0}\) as a set of points in the real plane.1 point

To say that something is "infinitely" small is certainly an unfortunate mode of description. And meaningless unless it really means that its size is zero. If we were to say that the mass of a photon is "infinitely small", we would make ourselves easy targets of ridicule. However, the mass of a photon is in reality not "infinitely small", rather it is identically zero. If we take "infinitely small", as a manner of speaking, to mean "of size zero", then we can all have a night of peaceful sleep. Except of course those who insist that nothing can be "infinitely small".1 point

Voting by mail could be made more safer (i.e. harder to fraud) by splitting ballot paper to two parts. One part remains at hand of voter, second one is sent back to government. Everybody should make photography ("selfie") of their ballot paper after making check mark at the right places (the same on the both), but prior splitting them. This way it will be possible to verify whether election has been compromised after the fact. Obviously election committees counting votes must be made of members from the all parties and foreign independent watchers. Each committee member must count the all votes from his or her region (couple hundred to couple thousands). Results from the all election committee members must match. Then they release it to public by Internet and media takes care of the rest. Without special precautions voting by mail can be easily compromised. ps. I am generally advising voters to make selfie together with their ballot paper. Regardless if it is voting by mail or traditional.1 point

There was one instance of fraud using vote by mail. It was in North Carolina when a Republican tried to cheat. The rest is about the GOP knowing that more voters equals Democrats more likely to win. Republicans maintain control in large part by restricting voting and using clever means to disenfranchise specific groups more likely to lean left.1 point

Unless... The one all-powerful, all-knowing god realized what a severe impediment an omnipotent being posed to a stable universe, so It removed Itself from existence. Now THAT is a loving god!1 point

I will not try to answer this, just add some observation. The question seems to be more about the local conditions of the house than about the power board supply. Wiring standards will differ from country to country and there may be different local regulations.1 point

There are also concerns that pitching hydrocholorquine as an unproven drug can (and starts) to cause shortages for their intended use.1 point

Almost. It's not correct to characterise this as have gone from a range to a single value. It's still a range, just a smaller range. Go read the wikipedia page on age of the universe. It's in the first couple of paragraphs.1 point

Realistic assessment or not it's just a guess with a lack of evidence. Why build a case against Trump with a house of cards, when there's plenty of bricks and mortar around?1 point

I don't see hate at all. I see a grownup and realistic assessment based solidly on historical facts. He refused to get out of business when he took office, it's a conflict of interest, and he's abused it repeatedly. Suggest you get your head out.1 point

Hello! I created a topic in the main section, but it was closed. I probably did not create it where I needed to. Create here. I'm interested in what is the simplest virus? So that its genome is as small as possible in size. Or, the simplest viroid? I want to try to create a virus at home. I don’t understand why you are losing my reputation. And what is evil in that I want to repeat everyday laboratory experience? They also react negatively to Russian forums. I thought at least there are people here .. Maybe it's because I don’t know English? Forgot to say, I use Google translator.0 points

Hello! I am looking for a virus genome. I need a genome that contains a small sequence. Are there viruses with small genomes already studied? What is the smallest genome? I need to make a virus at home. I do not want to waste time creating a virus with 10,000 sequences of code. I want to do something simpler. Perhaps I can cut off the existing virus code and thus get a simplified one. But I don’t know where to get the virus code at all. I saw only a couple of examples on the Internet. It is not known whether they are real or invented. I ask you to help me. Please give me the genetic code of the virus.0 points

+1 for this part. I hope we can all agree to hope that it, or something better, proves helpful. Even if Trump takes the credit. (he's been known to do that...for anyone who might not have noticed) +1 on that also. This is too good a thread to get OT.0 points
