  2. Sure, we can model imaginary things, like (studiot) dams that have not been built or stars with planets of varying types and sizes, or global warming with varying emissions pathways that have not and may never happen - but these are built around fundamental understandings of the physical processes, informed and bounded by observable or experimental data. Imaginary things or imaginary physical processes could be modeled as well, in combination with real ones - what might happen if CO2 were not a greenhouse gas or how a Big Bang might propagate in a universe with different physical law for example - or with entirely imaginary physics, without any references to reality as we know it. Not sure what purpose the latter might serve - curiosity, sure, but they may give mathematical or other insights.

  3. Back to the op-- I don't think he will be able to steal this election. Good thing. As some here may realize I am a political conservative who values honest dealing. I had high hopes for the past four years and it most definitely did not work out.

  4. Any pardon Pence issued could only cover federal crimes, It can't apply to cases being prosecuted at a state level such as those in New York. Oh, And I can make at least one prediction for the Biden Presidency - Obama will finally get his portrait hung in the White House.

  5. Has it ever occurred to you that the inherent paradoxes involved in time travel, such as any causality breaking or 'grandfather' paradox, suggest time travel is unreal ???

  6. There's a meme on line featuring a map of countries with no extradition treaty with the USA. It would be so funny if Pence didn't.

  8. That sounds like a viable option for him but still it won't save him from Deutche Bank and other foreign liabilities.

  9. I don't think so, Dim. D Trump will be very busy during the next 4 years. Fighting indictments, lawsuits, bankruptcies and trying to cover loans from foreign sources. Maybe he'll go back to doing reality TV. ( in Russia, China, or any country without extradition to the US )

  12. In science, each experiment should be repeated multiple times, and calculated average/mean of samples. Then repeat this with pipes of different diameters and pipe lengths to see how the results vary (or not). When you will have enough data, you can enter them on the graph (in e.g. OpenOffice Spreadsheet or Excel). Then derive universal math equation taking diameter of pipe as parameter. Then repeat this with different fluids e.g. alcohol, oil etc. etc. to see how the results vary (or not).

  13. Normally they would detect the signal of the transponder or RFID and then do a lookup in the database and bill the correct person. The ones I know of have camera backup taking pictures of license plates. They can then compare plates to those already registered to see if the transponder has failed and then bill appropriately.

  14. If you could travel at all faster than light, multiple times in different directions, you could create paradoxes. I don't think the instantaneousness of it matters at all, unless you can apply it arbitrarily in different frames of reference. For a counter example without paradoxes (I think), if spacetime is multiply connected between A and B, where one connection is flat spacetime with a proper distance of 10 LY between A and B, and another connection is a stable wormhole between A and B, allowing instantaneous travel in either direction at any time t in one given inertial frame of reference---or in other words, you could instantly travel from A to B and back, and you could even have B earlier than A (or vice versa) in your frame of reference, but not so early that it's in A's past light cone, AND you can travel back from B to A, but never to an earlier time than you left A---then I think no causality paradoxes are possible without something more. Even though you can transmit information in 2 directions faster than light, and try to exploit the 2 different-length connections between A and B, there's no frame of reference in which information from an event at A can be sent to an earlier event at A. (Same with B and everywhere else.) The parameter t of the events never decreases. The difference here is, arbitrary travel at faster than light over great distances allows traveling to earlier times in both directions. HOWEVER, traveling through the wormhole I described is not traveling a great distance, and it can be done at low speed. So it's instantaneous travel, but not technically "moving faster than light". Just getting there faster via a shortcut. The difference is important because it's the changes in relative simultaneity across great distances that are exploited in (impossible) FTL time travel, and that doesn't apply to the wormhole here. I suspect it might not apply to the Alcubierre "warp" drive either. (Just a further thought on the example above. Say you tried to cause a paradox by switching between different frames of reference. You could start in one frame F such that a traveler leaves A in 2020, travels through the wormhole, and arrives at B "earlier" in your frame of reference. Then you could switch to another frame F' so that if the traveler leaves B just after it arrived, back through the wormhole, it can now arrive in a time at A that is "earlier" again than it left B, but in this other frame F'. However, you'll also find that in this new frame F', the first event where the traveler left A for B, is earlier (by the same amount) than the event of it arriving at B, and in this frame (like in any) you find that the traveler still arrives back at A after it left, without paradox.)

  15. The mother is mostly cellulose and UV radiation seems to increase cellulose production. Wouldn't necessarily be good for the bacteria themselves though. From what I've read, companies normally increase oxygen availability to improve production rates.

  16. Measure the volume or mass of water prior the experiment, start the timer, measure the volume or mass of water after the experiment. Divide. You will have mL/s or g/s (which will be the same, because water has density ~1 g/mL). You can use beaker or graduated cylinder. They have scale printed on them. Record everything using digital camera placed on tripod and analyze video in gfx application.

  19. Dead serious about holistic medicine? How appropriate. Your Mr Lipton is a quack of major proportions. Please use your reasoning skills, and think it through. If any of these cures showed ANY promise whatsoever, It would be EXTREMELY EASY TO TRACK. We look at cases over time where large groups of people are exposed to various treatments, and when one shows real promise, we focus on it. NONE of these quack treatments have every proven effective on a study level. All you have are bullshit anecdotes quacks like Bruce Lipton claim represent advancement in medicine. The focus on these "easy" cures is killing people. Stop being dead serious.

  23. Units consistent, your 100% correct no doubt about this... And I do tend to forget about those "units" as i dont really use them at all. Reason: The meter uses a "random" number of 3 3*12 inches Speed of light uses a random number of 3 3*10^8 m/s The root of 5 also uses a random number of 3 as 4/3 in the sphere formula. Kilogram also uses a random number 3 "expotentially." Units are not always consistent... In acceleration for example: Initial start = 0 then 1, 2 ,3.....So is 0 a unit?? For rotational motion is pi a unit?? At this level units are meaningless. Do you see what I mean?? How so is this Gibberish? we left out one important connection, and that is, none of this works without the use of pi as it is the foundation of all science..

  24. How can one use the power of epigenetics to cure skin diseases and spots. If can somehow change my beliefs this could activate my dormant genes. My mind says "i am not a spotty hairy person". Then the gene instructions can be changed. Thanks
