  1. “real” being nonzero but still exceedingly small. How big of a balloon would be required to lift the payload to that height, and would you risk doing that knowing that it might or might not get close to any target of interest, and could be shot down well before that happened? I would imagine the risk is greater from a ground-based bomb in a van, that could be placed in sufficient proximity to a target. A balloon bomb is a threat from a movie writer.

  2. Bear in mind that there is a dynamic equilibrium between translational, rotational and vibrational components. Compression for example is a direct input of translational kinetic energy, but it it gets partitioned equally between all the degrees of freedom as part of the equilibriation process. If you look at purely the translational modes, the monatomic gases always behave elastically, but other gases only appear elastic on average.

  3. Well microwave radiation is certainly a large, wide ranging subject in its own right. So I was going to ask you "In what context are you interested in microwave emitters and their construction ?". But clearly microwave emission is happening all the time around us or there would be no microwaves! If the EmDrive works at all, which I doubt, it is all in the tranmission aspect (ie waveguides). So pony up and focus your question please. I take it you are not interested in the biological aspects I mentioned. Note the heating effect of microwaves depends on indirect heating of water or sugar molecules which in turn heat the whole material in you microwave, but as Seth noted these are not the sort of microwaves you generate from pea sized emitters. Here are some real figures and a calculator. https://www.everythingrf.com/rf-calculators/cavity-resonance-frequencies

  4. Primarily for military applications? My microwave oven disagrees. So does my wi-fi router. There’s nothing under discussion here that can’t be found in a textbook, news article, or as a reasonable extrapolation of other easily-accessible information. You can swallow various devices as medical diagnostics with wireless communication for data collection. So these are slightly larger than pea-sized https://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/capsule-endoscopy/about/pac-20393366 “in 2006, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the SmartPill, an ingestible capsule that measures pressure, pH, temperature, and transit time as it passes through a person’s gastrointestinal tract.” https://www.inverse.com/science/ingestible-sensor-digestive-system

  5. How come that your English suddenly improved so much? Your writing style completely changed, too. You are not the same person who posted previously under this name.

  6. This is how your logic goes: It's a genuine paradox: Atheist/"arelionist", whatever, state's as a matter of fact, there is no such thing as Santa. (Edit let's not get into semantics here.) So therefore, in a world without Santa, the children's books and the idea's therein have to be written by man and accepted by their fellow man. So therefore, if a lot of people, even in the face of cultural difference, say "that's an idea worth following". No Santa needed. Therefore, Santa has become a weapon for atheism/<insert word>.

  7. It's your statement. You need to show, how the second part follows from the first.

  8. I have read that Blackholes have properties Mass, Charge and Angular Momentum, and that the Event Horizon is the boundary between where spacetime is curved so much that all paths converge, and between where there are some paths that could diverge. Putting aside Hawking Radiation, apparently "nothing?" can leave the EH. As far as I understand, the "nothing" refers to anything with mass and any form of electromagnetism such as light, and perhaps categories of other things. So if electromagnetic waves cannot exit the EH, how does the charge of the Blackhole create the electromagnetic effect that propagates around the black hole due to that charge? Likewise with mass and curvature, how does the density of the mass "inside" the black hole's EH manage to curve the space time outside the EH, if the EH is a boundary where all paths converge? If you were a bit mass under the EH, and you tried to emit your gravitational wave through the EH, that wave would have a geodesic that remains within the EH. If that wave never exits the EH, and if ALL waves never exit the EH, what is causing the gravitational effect of the blackhole as experienced by objects outside the EH?

  9. The size limitation would I think enforce a waveguide selection sized for something in excess of ~75 GHz. What kind of application do you have in mind?

  10. No to be disrespectful... but no concrete evidence? What would constitute "concrete evidence"? I often wonder about this, it's like people refuse to consider a report unless they have a crashed object or a body. Does anyone really expect "concrete" evidence from an advanced alien spacecraft? There are pictures, radar conformations, physical traces on the ground of something unusual at the very least. Can we really expect "concrete" evidence to be left behind by anything so advanced? I know I know, what someone said happened isn't enough, but at what point do we stand back and realize that the shear number of sightings by relatively competent observers suggest something... if not extraordinary then at least highly unusual? Maybe it's like the bigfoot phenomena where prolonged study has at least pointed us in the direction that suggests black bears might be what is prompting a great many sightings. Did that real possibility come from simply dismissing the idea of bigfoot? No it came from investigating the sightings, not by dismissing them because we didn't have a bigfoot corpse.

  14. Once the gravitational collapse is complete, none of these quantities - charge, mass, angular momentum - are localisable, in particular not anywhere within or on the horizon. Instead, these quantities are now a global property of the entire spacetime, in the sense that they are encoded in the overall spacetime geometry. There’s nothing on or within the horizon that could possess these properties - Schwarzschild spacetime is entirely empty vacuum everywhere. Some features of the event horizon itself depend on these properties, but that does not imply that anything is actually located there. Hence, nothing needs to propagate and escape, since there’s nothing there to escape from.

  16. Especially talk of infinities are mental constructs with no physical proof that they exist. Cantor proves the Reals are uncountable by constructing an infinite list of reals paired to a natural number. Such a list can be constructed conceptually in mind, but it cannot be physically produced to check that it exits. This is why I say mathematics is a Fairy Tale.
