  2. The whole "what's it like" discussion in philosophy of mind addresses what's called the Knowledge Argument, against physicalism. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knowledge_argument This summarizes the argument and the famous thought experiment called Mary's Room, developed by Frank Jackson. Dennett, predictably , argues that there's no need for qualia.

  5. Since roller coasters are not powered and the question says the coaster is falling vertically the acceleration should be easy to determine, think about it.

  6. Since this is homework what have you done towards It ? Have you read the question properly because as you have stated it a solution is not possible. You say neither initial nor final velocities are supplied so what equation were you thinking of using ? However I suspect there is actually more information supplied indirectly.

  7. I would add the tooth fairy, Santa Claus, and Link from Zelda to this list. One can be an agnostic atheist or an agnostic theist, but calling oneself merely agnostic misuses the term. Agnosticism is about knowledge. (A)theism is about belief. We all believe or don’t believe, and agnosticism supplements those labels, but cannot replace them.

  8. ! Moderator Note We’re a discussion forum. This is soapboxing, which is against the rules. You’re free to wonder out loud about how you would run the world if you were in charge. Just not here.

  9. Oh, good! Yet another ridiculous useless blog-like post full of asinine unrealistic ideas that don’t even come close to being reasonable. I’m so glad to keep seeing these from your account. Keep up the stellar work, mate! Your desire to look like a broken bot is being fulfilled quite well

  10. It is not a rules violation to have someone disagree with you. The staff does not consider it to be “harassment”

  11. Please don’t respond to obvious spam. You aren’t going to shame them or reason with them. Use the “report post” function to bring it to the attention if the moderators.

  12. If you must respond to obvious spammers, for the love of Zeus, don’t quote the spam link. You’re helping them by padding the SEO they seek with a second link, and since we’re going to ban them anyway, you’re just creating extra work for the mods because now we have to go and hide your post, too. So not only aren’t you helping, you’re actively making things worse. We would rather you just report the post, and beyond that, ignore it.

  13. While staff appreciates a heads-up via Report Post when you spot a new member who posts like a potential spammer, or like a disruptive member you've encountered on another forum, our rules are designed to keep our standards on a level playing field. We hope you can see why we can't just ban someone on your say-so, and also hope you'll trust that these folks will reveal their agendas, or break enough rules, or otherwise self-limit their involvement on our site.

  14. Logical is that a travel with transport facilities which are moving with lower speed costs less than a travel with transport facilities which are moving with higher speed. Logical is for ordinary people to be transported with transport facilities which are moving with lower speed, because they are cheaper. It would be normal for ordinary people in the world to be transported by zeppelins or ships and not by airplanes.
