Trump keeps cementing the view of him as a monumental human turd, so it reaches the point where any claim of Trumpian perfidy is plausible. It is certainly possible that Trump's big mouth could have resulted in Iran assisting Hamas, via Thom Hartman's Russia - Iran - Israel chain. But I doubt that Trump's cognitive processes have ever been sufficiently organized to actually transmit anything useful, with specific technical details re Iron Dome.1 point

His Majesty's Government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavours to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country. Yeah I'm wondering how the hostages will work out. Hamas already has said it seeks the release of all Palestinian prisoners (4500 is the number I've seen) in Israeli jails. Some of the insiders are saying all the Israeli hostages will severely limit Bibi's response, some are saying they will bomb the crap out of Gaza anyway. I would think public sentiment, in a country where people formerly marched in the streets and rended their garments over one Israeli soldier hostage (Gilad Shalit), would mean they'd have to tread very lightly. PIJ alone says they have 30, and Hamas has dozens more. Yes, maybe not stupid.1 point

I think it's desperation, their plight is largely being ignored by the world's politicians and press, so they think they have no choice but to provoke a disproportionate response for the world to see and judge; maybe one day they'll realise that provoking a disproportionate response for the world to judge, is far more effective when done peacefully.1 point

Simply apply a full antichronous Lorentz transformation of your choice to the given metric tensor, of course. Since tensors are covariant objects under the full Lorentz group, and all Lorentz transformations are by definition diffeomorphisms, you simply end up with a different coordinate description of the same spacetime. If you wish to obtain a global geometry like the one you have described for black holes, you will have to derive it as a valid solution to the field equations. My feeling is that, so long as you start with a positive-energy star to begin with, there is no mechanism of classical gravity that can change this to a negative-energy distribution. Looking at how the interior metric and the collapse process are (approximately) described in Schwarzschild spacetime, I certainly don’t see any way to mathematically make it so.1 point

I was curious, so looked at a few citations, starting with the EPA. https://iwaste.epa.gov/guidance/radiological-nuclear/orphan-sources Which provides basic definitions. Then looked at a list of incidents on Wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_orphan_source_incidents And this catalogue is used by professionals to help find orphaned sources. https://www.iaea.org/resources/databases/international-catalogue-of-sealed-radioactive-sources-and-devices One disturbing bit I found in my meandering was that a lot of orphaned source materials end up as scrap metal, which scrappers are often unaware of.1 point

Yes thank you for your positive input, the reason I gravitated to this forum was because my doctor drew a blank when i mentioned the smell cravings, seemingly this is not a recognised condition hence my joy at reading other peoples experiences, it normalised it slightly for me. i do also know how to differentiate from anecdotal experience and medical advice. A lady coincidentally put a post up the day before I did which was funny as no one had commented since 2011! Perhaps I was hoping to hear feed back from her or maybe I wanted her to check her iron. I won't be developing a new vaccination any time soon...not this month anyway!! lol. so to round things up the following symptoms I experienced were due to a lack of iron in my blood sniffing lemgel eating raw carrots niggly tickly cough hope this helps someone...that's all1 point

Glad to hear they found something readily actionable. On a side note, I regularly seek feedback from others in medical situations and find it to be quite useful to hear from others who have had similar experiences. People with similar experiences can provide context that you often don't get from your doctor. That is after all one of the reasons we have things like support groups. I assume that like me, you know who is providing background information and who is providing actual medical advice. I think that asking for feedback is a great idea. Good luck to you!1 point

UPDATE.. To whom is interested, I got my blood tests back and I am very low in iron...8.6 in fact. This would explain my cravings, I also have been craving raw carrots and this too is a sign of low iron and a niggly persistent cough I am experiencing is another symptom, so if you are having these smell cravings, get your blood checked, you may have low iron. I have been prescribed an iron supplement by my doctor and will take it from there. Hope this helps someone in a similar situation. Even though I have had no feed back on here which I was hoping , there is a chance someone will read this and benefit from my experience. I suspect that the low iron is due to my extremely heavy periods lately due to age and hormonal changes, but further blood tests will confirm this. I will update to inform if the smell craving stops after replenishing my iron stores.1 point

Hi, I am 49 years old and this past few weeks have become really inclined to sniff lemgel, a strong chemical all purpose cleaner. Just yesterday I was trying to articulate to my partner how it's like all of a sudden I am right in the middle of an addiction to this smell, no build up just an onset of really wanting to smell it so much, but the thing is smelling it is just not enough, it only partly satiates my longing for it, obviously I know not to drink it and inhaling it through my mouth has no pleasure, I tried it once! I have read on other similar forums that it may be a mineral deficiency, I have recently been having extremely heavy periods and suspect this could be the cause due to a lack of iron. I do take chlorella and spirulina and wheatgrass which I though would have given me more than enough iron but maybe the algae is drawing iron from me. I am awaiting blood tests and should get a hormone profile soon which may tell me what my hormone situation is at present. I usually just put my nose near the top of the bottle and squeeze the pastic to get some back draft in order to get a whiff! I feel almost like a teenage glue sniffer or something! Glad to hear other people experience this weird craving (rwilli) it feels good to talk about it for a while as it is my guilty secret at the minute. Any insight into this would be great and if my doctor enlightens me as to my iron situation I will share it on here. I had to join this site just to make this reply, it was nearly impossible to get to this point. Hopefully this is not the onset of some debilitating neurosis or something...fingers crossed!!1 point

Hi - I too have had this problem for some time - the cravings for me are glue and coal, and the smell of firelighters (parrafin I guess). However, I have recently been diagnosed with very low iron, and am now being treated with high dose iron, and the pica's are gradually receeding. It would be worth getting checked for this type of thing as I understand that pica is a common symptom of aneamia.1 point

Pica disorder is sometimes caused by mineral deficiency. I would recommend multivitamins. If you think you might eat some chemicals, you should go to a doctor before you get yourself in trouble.1 point

Any escalation in violence serves the long-term zionist program. Israel can continue to portray itself as a victim, and it's own violence as self-defence. I don't think there's any doubt that the government would have know this was coming, and privately welcomed it as just what the doctor ordered.
