  1. I'm sure that I'm already reiterating things that have already been said in this thread, but this seems like a rather broad generalization... It more or less depends on the denomination too, take for example the united Methodist church which in recent years have shifted their political values more towards the left, which has even caused a bit of split between UMC members more of which can be found here: https://religionnews.com/2024/01/26/the-umc-lost-a-quarter-of-its-churches-most-in-the-south-reflecting-political-patterns/. There is a lot more that goes into political affiliation then just religion such as where you live geographically and your family (or so im told... Im not a political scientist so someone correct me if I'm wrong there...). I myself am a non-denominational Christian and I don't really associate myself with either political party. Any Christian church (or other religious gathering for that matter) that emphasizes one political party over another and claims that you are not X if you don't vote for X party, is probably leaning more towards the definition of a cult.

  2. TIL that children's tendency to dislike vegetables may actually be an evolutionary advantage. Vegetables tend to be somewhat bitter, but so are poisons. Children have more taste buds than adults, since we lose them as we age, which makes them more sensitive to this bitter taste. With their smaller size, it takes a smaller amount of poison to be lethal, so a greater tendency to spit out bitter foods decreases the chances of ingesting enough toxins to be fatal if they put the wrong thing into their mouth.

  4. today I no longer trust politicians. this is a problem of management of public affairs but it is not just the fault of those who don't trust! I'd rather do the research myself. it's incredible the graph posted by ken fabian. it seems a paid graph because of precision, but do we have the tools to have a graph like that? please, excuse me...
