I don’t think so, no, but it very much depends on who is doing the planning, how well they coordinate with one another, as well as the quality, timing and robustness of the information they have available when making their plans. An example of this working well IMO is Singapore. They’ve achieved amazing things in an amazingly short period of time in large part due to smart leadership being in charge of the various economic levers.

  3. I've found that the odd electron does indeed go into a relatively high energy orbital: a π* antibonding orbital which is shared across all 3 atoms. The information was buried in this interesting but very long review of polysulphide anions by Tristram Chivers and someone else: https://pubs.rsc.org/en/content/articlelanding/2019/cs/c8cs00826d. What I have yet to find out is what it gets promoted to in the transition responsible for the colour. There is a comment that neutral sulphur molecules have a +ve electron affinity, such that addition of one extra electron is both exothermic and exergonic (ΔG<0), so the radical anion is stable with respect to the neutral atom. Adding a second electron, to make a 2- anion, is energetically favourable in polarisable solvents but not in the gas phase, so is more marginal. Lapis Lazuli has a quite open zeolite-type aluminosilicate structure, with cages big enough to sequester this big anion and prevent it from reacting further, in spite of the reactivity implied by the odd electron. It would be interesting to know how this unusual mineral is formed in the Earth's crust. The Chivers paper says it has been found that S₃•⁻ has been found to form in sulphurous hydrothermal fluids, at temperatures >200C and pressures > 1kbar. So perhaps lapis lazuli is formed by some kind of metamorphic alteration of a pre-existing aluminosilicate mineral, involving sulphur-containing hydrothermal fluids.

  6. Dimreepr, why are you quoting nonsense in an attempt to belittle me? I know very well how little I know, a shame you don't know the same. The reason I know the quantum fields are conscious is because the Rings in my 2016 thread are partly constructed of DNA and hence why "God" is present in everything in our world. You're so ignorant I'd wager you wouldn't believe it is possible for an individuals mind to influence the quantum fields to then have a causal effect on your wellbeing. The Dunning and Kruger experiment did find a real effect – most people think they are better than average. But according to my team’s work, that is all Dunning and Kruger showed. The reality is that people have an innate ability to gauge their competence and knowledge. To claim otherwise suggests, incorrectly, that much of the population is hopelessly ignorant.

  9. this text comes from bigger work New horizons in physics: Black holes, Big-Bang On the basis of the supercosmical model of subquark particles, we can obtain an explanation of the mystery of black holes. The use of quantization produces specific results. Alleged black hole is a kind of black star - with size about a star for our galaxy - consisting from condensate of small particles corresponding with gravitons. Black because does not let go photons. More suitable name than black hole is for this object name black star. So called event horizon is identical with its surface, so called Schwarzschild radius relates to its real radius. Inside the black star in the center of our galaxy, there is a singularity in which the tunnel with a very small cross-section (about 1 inch) opens and leads in to the a dead body the size of a planet in a big distance (probably other galaxy). This body is dead after some time has passed since the black star at the center of our galaxy has gone dormant and is no longer taking in new material. The theory of the black star is justified by the fact that it logically complements the sequence of stars, including white dwarfs, neutron stars, strange stars, preon stars, up to a black star. I should add also that primeval sinagularity which was a beginning of Universe had size not a very small particle but a size of the order of 4 inch. Thus there was no period of inflation and this concept must fail. The previous concept of the big bang, where we are dealing with extremely small sizes of the original singularity, seems to be nonsense. To assume the existence of such a small object for the entire cosmos is nonsense (I created the black star theory in 2012, only originally black star without a tunnel).
