Yeah but think of how cool it would be if you ever accidentally ran into a high voltage electric fence. Iridium is a pretty sweet choice though, if you're going for unique and kinda snazzy, you could definitely pull it off with that.

Being a cook, I used to eat very healthy since all my stuff was hand prepared - but I've gotten lazy for a few months. I usually just cook hamburgers if I'm going to cook anymore, or I'll head out somewhere to eat- used to do a lot of exercise too, but I have no one to spar with, and I can't stand normal boring weightlifting and the like These days, I'm gonna say not too healthy, no drugs of any sort though, I do drink on occasion when company is around! And now I have this vision of wrapping some bacon around some bacon, then putting that on a bacon cheeseburger. Thanks guys, thanks.

Actually to be honest, I kinda like it. Everything is out of my way - I downloaded the beta intending to uninstall it after checking it out, ended up hanging onto it for further testing and review Usually it takes me forever to edit my layout how I like it, where nobody but I can get to it! If they make a few mods to the browser I think I would start using it.

I've actually been meaning to get a new system here soon to test multi platforming and Linux OS. It's probably best to start with one new thing and go from there to be safe - but what the hey, I might as well! Any suggestions for an IX operating system for someone who's been stuck with Windows and MAC OS his whole life? Learning curve doesn't matter -

I think as long as you're going to have time to keep up with your system, building is definitely the way to go, and it will run much more efficiently in most cases - however, if you just want something that'll do what it's told and get some help when it doesn't, definitely go with an OEM system, they're getting better

Little Survey About Religion Development (Questionnaire)

an interesting survey -
Really if you stick the time to it, you could learn to use Windows just as well as OSX or whatever they're on now - They both have a lot of potential. I've run Photo-intensive and video editing programs on both, never really played games on a mac but I'm sure you could put windows into it and play some. I kinda just hate dealing with people who are into macs, with hardware you almost always get what you pay for - PC's just have more options on the lower end. and this may just be my inexperience with a lot of other OS's talking, but lord forbid I come across ANYTHING on a server but Windows.

actually I had a friend splice a surge protector into the electrical lines of his car and run a Desktop off of that - not a very practical use I must say, I dunno why he would do such as that - I would definitely go PC, and probably a Dell since I get a discount, but I have a bias against apple (kind of unfounded, but I accept it) and so would definitely go something besides that. Like Lenovo, or Sony - only because the parts to build your own notebook/laptop computers aren't cost efficient yet.

Well, when you overload the graphics card and force it to access the system memory somehow, say - by building a jiggly ball in 3D-Studio max! It doesn't matter how you do it, just that you do it. Once that happens, even the system memory should be able to help it out, but the BUS that the information travels across is usually the bottlenecking point.

some of the processes that video card RAM takes over really helps take the strain off the generic system ram, so it doesn't take forever to run it's regular tasks mixed in with the graphics algorithms. That's why I've always hated integrated graphics I like insane_aliens definition of RAM for the question defined, with a good finish by pangloss!

I honestly use it at work for sense key errors - there are several places online that give you the information, but wiki does it so much better, and most of them are even correct! I clicked yes, just because I use it, but I agree with all previous arguments made that you should cross reference the articles references

I've had a few professors use their own books, but they weren't very helpful -I gotta be honest guys, I think I only bought 2 actual books in college...although, to be embarrassingly honest, I went to an art school after all my years of math and science! Not to bash the art school, I learned some sweet stuff, but the books were mostly for gen eds and stuff like that, and I passed those without effort.

Wow dude I didn't know what evil tasted like until now - zaniness! I think the best moment of my day was hanging up the phone at work with a customer I'd been dealing with for five hours. That or running after the pizza guy to give him a tip, he was a cool old guy and almost got away!

So hi again. I'm uh, Kris, and I joined SFN like a loooong time ago, and then I went INTO THE WORLD That got boring though, been reading posts intermittenly throughout the years, and I'm happy to come out of the shadows

it was actually once the HD started booting itself, I started narrowing down the thing myself after everybody left me alone. I was fixing this for someone, but my business partner was talking to me and wouldn't go away so I discovered that it was the HD, there's no Hardware issues, so it had to have been something in the HD itself, missing driver or something, but I discovered that my customer was actually wanting his computer reformatted as well, so it all worked out in the end for me SWEET oh, and the computer would boot in safe mode as well, so I know it had to have been a driver or something, darn things anyway. I just wanted to make a post because I've been missing this place I guess anyway, thanks guys, you can expect more of me around here, and hopefully once this darn business starts supporting itself there'll be even more! thanks for your time guys

I know I haven't been posting for quite a while, but I've been reading a lot! I swear! anyway, I have a computer that's turning on, then starts booting, and then about 6 or 7 seconds afterwards the monitor starts showing no signal, anyone think they could give me a suggestion on that?

exactly! You go gurl

I would come closest to SorceressPol in my tastes, except it's a little broader than that. I don't really like movies at all, when I watch it's either because a) it's a damned good movie (usually comedy, anime or really scary stuff, but scary) or b) I have good company, which is most of the time, although I'm getting to like more and more movies as time goes by

I've been sleeping about 4 to 5 hours a night for as long as I can remember, lemme tell ya lad, it catches up with you, and when you take naps to compensate (in my experience) it just makes you want to sleep more and more. I'd say try and find a way (earplugs, ask your roommates, etc.) to sleep at least 6-7 hours a night, although I'd wait to see what the experts say on this one cause I just know from my own sleep patterns what's the chronic sleeping illness, by the way?

thanks for your input on the subject at hand atheist, but next time we can do without the name calling and implications, they're not necessary
