  1. ...but who has the better mascot?
  2. poetry could focus on why people find poems so emotional, thus causing them to fit into the psychology or sociology category;) I just don't know any good stuff myself...though my cousin's written some good stuff, I'll ask her if I can post it sometime
  3. you didn't happen to meet a girl in 1995 did you?O_o
  4. right, exactly what MrL said and don't worry about using caps, as long as you don't have entire sentences composed of the things;) (it can be very hard on ones eyes after staring at a photoshop screen for 5 hours)
  5. to be sure the bugs aren't just going by feel ?
  6. ? ; ) there's the winkin' dude. you have a point, there are several kinds of foods (probably, I don't know bugs man) so try and convince your group to use like..certain KINDS of plants and meats, vegetables and fruits and whatever you can find I don't think you should take in the data from another scientist (bug food) you're quite correct

nobody's still made daisy an icon? PEOPLE! shame on you! uh...oh..uh...how about...a polka dotted daisy! what? I don't know what you like..
  8. in future posts, please refrain from using caps (yelling) and keep the blatant insulting of your peers at a minimum thanks;) also, the experiment wasn't to find out if the bugs can tell the difference, so which would they prefer? so a live plant and a dead plant may be a perfectly logical choice to use you can't just use plants, which are found everywhere in nature, so pepperoni or whatnot can also be used, maybe to see if the bugs preferred processed meat to natural foods? although I'm willing to bet my life savings ($0.16 currently) that the bugs will pick the plants because of the more nutrient value (which could very well be the reason the bugs will eat food, more substance for less work) I do agree that pill bug food is not the greatest idea for a control however, because it has been tested to find the best mix of whatever for the bugs....though you could try it anyway to see if they still like natural over artificial? I'm not real big on biology though;) so you'll have to wait for blike or sayo
  9. there are many drawbacks to the situation as well, which I will happily explain if I can remember them when I come back, since break is over
  10. Ed may be weird, but she's the coolest dang character on the show^_^
  11. now you've done it...the bride wants her man back
  12. ...I can only point and laugh man...science is controlled by people these days, and people think ethically (or something)
  13. yeah well, religious extremists seem to be losing sight of their faith and just going on a blood-thirsty rampage anyhow, just to get fame..I for one give the thumbs up to the governor hey man, I take no responsibility as an American for that, that was northern florida...we all know what florida does to people;)
  14. quiet you, pizza is good and good for you....just clean the grease off a bit..
  15. her decision, her fault, her responsibility. The government should not have to protect families. If the woman cheated once, and got an abortion, what makes you think she won't do it again? She doesn't have to tell her family she cheated, she could find out before, and get an abortion before anyone finds out. What's to say she won't just do it again? someone cheating multiple times while taking preventative measures to be secretive about it is more likely to cause more trouble once she is found out. If the husband is going to hate the child just because it wasn't borne of his seed, he should be shot anyway.
  16. as to the rape issue, of course she should be allowed to have the abortion. With the overpopulation issue once a woman has had her maximum the government would probably take steps to sterilize the woman and/or man, or she would have an abortion (assuming the government would take steps to monitor the population). However, if a woman cheats on her family, she should not be allowed to have the abortion, it was her decision to cheat, it's her responsibility to deal with the consequences, same as with a woman just having sex. If you can't handle the consequences, take more steps, or don't do it at all, if she really didn't want to become pregnant she shouldn't have had sex in the first place. however, this issue would rely on the woman's honesty in the cases, and since we all know humans will not speak the truth if it benefits them, and lie detectors aren't always accurate, this becomes an issue on determining reasons, so if you opened up abortion it would be for everyone.
  17. no, it is not about hacking it's just a bunch of people talking about whatever comes to mind (congratulating a guy on his daughter comes to mind...and pictures from this guy who had an infection on his head that lead to (the picture) maggots in his brain) just a fun place to talk when were you there?O_o it's probably changed a little since you've been there if it was over a few months ago...not that I know, i just got back there a few weeks ago myself;)
  18. correction: 10 1/3 years and if it is going to hit earth, someone will start working on a way to try and destroy or detour it, like in "Armageddon" (that was an awful movie) don't count on being told the truth though if it is, the government doesn't want people thinking they only have 10 years to live;)
  19. everything is necessary to regulate if brought to a major scale, the average person couldn't handle something not regulated, we just don't have the capacity;) we just already agreed that it would be regulated, so we're not talking about it anymore
  20. hmm...of THIS community....anyone ever play Lords of Magic and like it? seeeee there's rumi's board which is almost dead, but he's devoted it to a lot of philosophical and religious stuff, and has debated against me quite a few times in a few other boards^_^ hackernetwork forums may benefit from a few of you, but don't tell them I sent you:-p gamers-gateway.com is another one;) anyhow, asking questions is a grand thing, one learns a great deal through questions;) and I'll agree...this is one of the better forums I visit...one of the best actually^_^
  21. sleep time
  22. yeah the government should really not have any say in peoples' morals or moral decisions (oh good lord, I almost killed someone last time my family put on "moral court") but I think drugs and the like legalized, at least the minor ones, wouldn't be as hard as one would imagine to regulate, I've heard a couple proposals already in real life anyway (not that anyone will listen to those "crackheads" or something like that), and it would bring in revenue for the government, a lot, being such a popular business and all.....
  23. wow Americans really have become protected.... O_o killing civilians as such that that is happening can be very strategically helpful, reducing the population of a group also reduces it's support, and persuades people to join your side and as shown above, it is also out of hatred, some people have a deeply embedded hatred of others and would love nothing more than to force them to watch the brutal torture and killing of their wife and children, right before doing the same to them .....

    an essay

people do not have a DIRECT influence to speak of exactly, however, when there are a hundred million people threatening to vote for someone else and you're a politician, you make sure the government is funding things to make them go your way;) maybe the general population should be required to know at least just a little about science
