Energy is (one of many) properties of particles. Each class of particles has different forms of energy e.g. kinetic energy, potential energy.

Search for "terminal velocity" on the Internet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terminal_velocity Objects which are falling in Earth's atmosphere are reaching their own specific terminal velocity. Human with horizontal body orientation (i.e. parachute jumper) will have different terminal velocity than human with vertical body orientation. "Terminal velocity is the maximum velocity attainable by an object as it falls through a fluid (air is the most common example). It occurs when the sum of the drag force (Fd) and the buoyancy is equal to the downward force of gravity (Fg) acting on the object. Since the net force on the object is zero, the object has zero acceleration.[1]". For human body it's approximately ~220 km/h. So the question is "what is chance to survive 220 km/h hit with the ground".

To vacuum distillation you need to buy laboratory vacuum pump (it's over 300 usd here), or use aspirator (much cheaper option (if you're living in region where water is cheap/free), but lower quality vacuum). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspirator_(pump) On eBay they are for $22 https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=glass+aspirator The more stages the better vacuum you will get (limited by vapor pressure). Read above Wikipedia article.

In medieval times peasants worked part of time for Nobles for free.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socage "Socage (/ˈsɒkɪdʒ/)[1] was one of the feudal duties and hence land tenure forms in the feudal system. A farmer, for example, held the land in exchange for a clearly defined, fixed payment to be made at specified intervals to his feudal lord, who in turn had his own feudal obligations, to the farmer (principally those of protection) and to the Crown. In theory this might involve supplying the lord with produce but most usually it meant a straightforward payment of cash, i.e., rent." Modern banking system started with crusades. Knights had to travel entire Europe to the middle east. It was long and dangerous travel. Ships could sink during heavy storm etc. so if gold and silver would be transported back and forth with them, there was risk of losing them permanently. So instead of physical transport of coins, there were issued valuable papers. "Templar preceptory before embarking, received a document indicating the value of their deposit, then used that document upon arrival in the Holy Land to retrieve their funds in an amount of treasure of equal value. This innovative arrangement was an early form of banking and may have been the first formal system to support the use of cheques; it improved the safety of pilgrims by making them less attractive targets for thieves, and also contributed to the Templar coffers.[6][22]" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knights_Templar

No temperature change during phase change - except in my soup?
Sensei replied to bartovan's topic in Classical Physics
Soup often contains oil/fat (soups here are usually made on boiled chicken parts base). Water density is 1 g/cm^3, oil/fat density is lower than water, so it floats at the top of surface, and changes idealized uniform liquid calculations. -
If some of you are bored, try recreating this project:

I would get microscope Bresser Biolux LCD 50x–2000x. It has LCD screen with camera able to take photos and videos of what you see, so you will be able to send it. It costs here approximately 240 usd.

CERN & LHC suffer from such radiation. And it happens in one of the best vacuum human can create.. Because it has nothing to do with collisions with atoms present in the air! Did you read links that I gave?

Do you know that when charged particle accelerates (i.e. changes direction of flight) it emits photons ? So electrons from your example will be emitting photons on each corner of your triangle and losing their kinetic energy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bremsstrahlung https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclotron_radiation https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synchrotron_radiation

..if you are suggesting muss-murdering non-white people (or any people), I strongly disagree.. and it's probably against rules of this forum to came up with something like this.. There are some ways to decelerate rate of reproduction, like women education, sexual education, anti-conception and eventually abortion.

Preservatives- Extending the refrigerated life of AMBC
Sensei replied to Adamanator's topic in Applied Chemistry
Searched net for recipes "how to make American buttercream frosting" and found that some authors suggest replacing butter by mixture of butter and shortening or using full shortening (margarine?). Other websites mention unopened margarine expiration date 4-5 months after "the best before date", opened 1-2 months. http://www.eatbydate.com/dairy/spreads/how-long-does-margarine-last-shelf-life-expiration-date/ In this article author is using margarine because they live in Las Vegas: https://www.thepinningmama.com/the-worlds-best-buttercream-frosting-recipe/ -
Hydrogen (H-1) cooled down will change state of the matter to liquid state (at −252.879 °C) then to solid state (at −259.16 °C ). Deuterium and Tritium should have them slightly a bit different than above. If atoms would fuse together spontaneously (as suggested by you above), it should be detected.
-
Fusion of Tritium with Deuterium yields 17.6 MeV. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronvolt 1 MeV = 1 million electronvolts = 1,000,000.0 eV where 1 eV = 1.6021766 * 10^-19 J so 17.6 *1,000,000.0 * 1.6021766 * 10^-19 J = 2.819830816e-12 J To get 1 Watt macroscopic power you need 1 W / 2.819830816e-12 J = ~3.55* 10^11 fusion reactions per SECOND. It's ~355 billions of reactions per second. Single LED takes usually 20 mA and 5 V = 0.1 Watt power. To make it working in the simplest ordinary electronic device with batteries (e.g. hand remote TV controller), you would need 35 billions fusion reactions per second with 100% efficiency. To accelerate atom inside of particle accelerator, there are used e.g. x-rays (or UVs) which are ionizing matter, to eject electron(s) from it. Ion can be controlled and accelerated by external electric field (created by powerful capacitors). Only fraction of x-rays/UVs are ejecting electron from ion-to-be. Circular accelerators also need powerful electromagnets to bend path of ions. They are made with superconductors to decrease needed power. Superconductors work under very low temperature. Cooling down entire device takes significant amount of energy. i.e. there is more energy spend on ionization of matter, acceleration, superconducting electromagnets etc. etc. than fusion reaction is releasing.

Pretty much. If nothing happens people say "see, nothing happened, as always! There was nothing to worry about! All this was just "fake news", unneeded scaring of people!".. Eventually, if something would happen they would say "OMG! That's how all my life will end?! Why nobody did anything to help us?! Why nobody warned us?!" etc. etc. Increased temperatures of the Earth will render some regions of the planet unable to be habitable e.g. Africa, southern Asia, Australia, America. But there are living people right now. They won't wait till they cook, but will be escaping regions unable to survive and will move to North America, Europe, everywhere where is smaller temperature. To the one who actually created entire problem with over usage of fossil fuels. So Europeans and Americans will get what they hardly worked for entire century..

Learning programming computers, if you are not on IT, is good idea IMHO. It can accelerate your work if you will write program that will calculate something fast or automate some repetitive task for you. Learning to ask for help, advice and working in team. There is proverb "two heads are better than one".

People scientists here are well aware about human influence on global warming so you don't need to persuade readers about it. Get to the point instead. Oxygen and other gases dissolve less efficiently at higher temperature of water than colder, so marine life will extinct, either microorganisms plankton krill and the majority of bigger animals because they rely on microorganisms. Broken food chain in oceanic life. That's the most likely the future. Sooner or later it will happen anyway. Due to increased Sun radiation or human activity.. Temporary solution for too large radiation from the Sun:

I am guessing 34% and 51% means concentration of ethanol mixed with water (or other solvent) by volume.. Density of pure ethanol is ~0.789 g/mL so: 102.7 mg / 0.79 g/mL = 0.1027 g / 0.79 g/mL = ~0.13 mL of ethanol by volume 149.1 mg / 0.79 g/mL = 0.1491 g / 0.79 g/mL = ~0.188 mL of ethanol by volume 34% of ethanol and 66% of water/solvent will have total volume 0.13/0.34 = ~0.37 mL 51% of ethanol and 49% of water/solvent will have total volume 0.188/0.51 = ~0.37 mL. So they matches.

...if they are used according to manual, i.e. used at normal temperatures.. Compounds (especially complex organic compounds) heated in oven to couple hundred degrees will decompose to smaller unknown compounds, and eventually get into random reactions with other compounds around them (e.g. other pesticides or by-products of decomposition etc.), and product of reaction might be eventually harmful. ..do not use this oven for anything but heating your silica gel.. I would not bake cake in it for sure.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermal_decomposition e.g. thermal decomposition of sodium bicarbonate (aka "baking soda") is responsible for growth of cake during baking. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_bicarbonate Here is (incomplete) list of pesticides with chemical formulas: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Index_of_pesticide_articles To tell what will be result of thermal decomposition of some pesticide we would have to know its name for a start. There are a few scientific articles of thermal decomposition of pesticides: https://www.google.com/search?q=thermal+decomposition+of+pesticides e.g. "Pesticides containing a benzimidazolyl group plus one or two linear chains experience multiple stages of thermal degradation between 120 and 650 °C." If some pesticides etc. was absorbed by silica gel, it will have amount counted in e.g. micro grams, or milligrams, at most. i.e. several years of drinking and smoking cigarettes will have much higher influence on your health. During smoking of cigarettes compounds thermal decompose to carcinogenic intermediate compounds, which person inhale, and they damage lung cells in a random way.

...3D printer with exchangeable header is a must have these days.. e.g. you model 3D object in 3D application and tell "carve it in wood/metal/whatever".. and it's done.. Print cake? Let's do it! https://zmorph3d.com/products/toolheads/thick-paste-extruder

..."3d carpenter" aka "3d graphician" aka "IT engineer" aka "computer programmer".. Virtual 3D remake of your project: Back: Source files attached below, so you can load object in 3D application and make modifications or render it by yourself (or ask @Janus) Christmas stable.zip I tried to mimics it to your reference as close as possible. But not everything was visible on just two photos. I closed hole in the back (anti-hurricane trick?), used different order of planks, and cut front planks. ps. Enable smoothing in Surface/Material Editor. ps2. ~6500 polygons. It could be used in 3D game engine. Sorry for not using sub-patches!

The lower value the better! michel123456 calculated it incorrectly, and you repeated it.. Because you have to calculate it using equation: number of positive votes * 100% / total number of posts = ratio of positives to total. The bigger the better. Janus and Arete have very high rank (they write less but more often get large number of upvotes). total number of posts / number of positive votes = how long have to wait for positive vote in posts. The lower the better. michel123456 has: 508 * 100% / 5857 = 8.6% ratio of positives to total by percentage (5857/508 = 8.67 means 1 positive vote per every ~9 posts). In your case it is much better: 2177 * 100% / 11357 = 19.2% ratio of positives to total by percentage (11357/2177 = 5.2 means 1 positive vote per every ~5 posts, which is very good result). Net crawlers are searching internet, and visiting web sites to check whether they changed. They could be counted in, if there was not implemented history of IPs (that would limit accidental recounting a lot for crawlers like Google/MSN/Yahoo, but not entirely because viruses and criminals use zombie networks). It's not 64000 the real life people who saw it.. They were computer network bots, I am afraid so..

Now we have e-Sports! Does e-Sport count? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esports People pay to see how do "professional player" plays some computer game.
