Photons have different energies (momentum/frequency/wavelength).. High energy photon can destroy nucleus, can destroy atom, split it to free protons, free neutrons, can cause destruction of molecule, etc. etc. Gamma photon from annihilation of electron-positron pair, has 510998.928 eV energy, visible light green photon has 2.32 eV, that's > 220,000.0 (>220 thousands) more energy than middle of visible spectrum.. To start ionizing matter, you just need slightly above 3.2-3.5 eV, UV photon.. Gamma photon can destroy millions of molecules, prior it will be fully absorbed.

If some element changes to other element, as a result of bombarding it by free neutrons, then it's not chemistry, but physics. From initial state, when reactor is started with just some U-235, U-238, salt, there is created bunch of other elements that was not there before.. and scientists don't know what is there until checking it..

Universe is made of quantum particles. Some particles have property such as rest-mass, which multiplied by c^2, can be converted (unit conversion) to potential energy of particle. That energy can be used for something, if particle will collide with its antiparticle (annihilation). If particle has charge Q= -1e = -1.602176565*10^-19 C (sometimes -1.6021766*10^-19 C in newer measurements, as its refined with time) then its antiparticle must have opposite charge Q=+1e = +1.602176565*10^-19 C (+1.6021766*10^-19 C). Annihilation does not mean total destruction like in sci-fi movies. It means that initial particle and antiparticle are destroyed and new bunch of particles are created instead. f.e. annihilation of electron-positron: [math]e^- + e^+ \rightarrow \gamma + \gamma + 1.022 MeV[/math] rest-mass of electron is me=510998.928 eV/c^2 rest-mass of positron (antiparticle of electron) is the same as electron me. After annihilation there are created two gamma photons, each with E=510998.928 eV. You can see that energy prior annihilation is equal to energy after annihilation. Charge of particles prior annihilation is equal to charge after annihilation. Photon energy equation (Planck equation) is E=hv (in English written E=hf (because f is abbreviation of frequency) ). We can covert it to frequency equation f=E/h = 510998.928 eV / 4.135667*10^-15 eV*s = 1.23559*10^20 Hz It's called Compton frequency fc = 1.23559*10^20 Hz

Bad/poor adaptation to environment means instant death. Intelligent life forms can change it because of using artificial protections like astronaut suits. Organisms (requiring Oxygen) living at high mountains (high altitudes) have to adopt to low Oxygen presence, the all organisms that won't do it, will die (natural selection). You said "predetermine us" and then later "determines us".. Did you mean "us" = "the all living organisms" (not just humans).. ? -
Imagine life is appearing on one planet, it evolves, intelligent life form is appearing on it. They are realizing that if they will die in their own version of Apocalypse, the all life forms can die together with them (f.e. if they're close to supernova-to-be star, they might be blown up by an explosion etc. etc.) Space travel is dangerous, troublesome, too expensive for them (as they didn't get rid of money), etc. etc. so what they do.. ? They are taking metallic meteoroids, seed them with microorganisms, accelerate them in railgun, and spread them in the all directions, in great amount, to spread their microorganisms in the entire galaxy and further (requires exceeding galaxy escape velocity).. Implosion of entire star is not the same as implosion of just core, and a while later nova/supernova explosion. That would vaporize planet and there would be no further discussion. There is something like instant black hole.

Why imploding star would emit radiation? And what kind of radiation? If core of star implodes, outer regions start traveling toward collapsed core, accelerate, and what happens next depends on how fast they accelerated. In extreme situations pair production of electron-positron is possible, in other extreme situation pion creation and free neutrons is plausible. But that's how nova/supernova explodes.

Certainly after star implosion, death would not be immediate. Humans would learn about it after 8 minutes, as it's time photons need to travel 150 mln km distance. Significant majority of stars that you see don't exist anymore. Their light had to travel for billions of years to reach the Earth. Some humans could survive if they would immediately start living in mines and digging further tunnels. Below ground temperature is sustained by the Earth's core, not by radiation from the Sun.

Archeologists/historicist can be ideologically biased, like f.e. searching for proof of supremacy of one (their own) race, proof of supremacy of one nation above other nations, and so on, so on.. White man living long enough (for generations) in tropics will turn black, and black man living long enough on far north will change color of skin to white. It's natural adaptation to environment in which organism is living. They're paid by government, which want results fitting their ideology. True unbiased archeologists/historicist can exist only in environment in which government do not tell them what to search for, and what should be results of researches, in advance. World in which somebody telling uncomfortable truth is not punished and ostracized.

It's protection to not lose message, if web browser crashed, or there was power failure etc. etc. I just wrote this post, quit web browser, restarted, visited thread again, and can continue writing this text.

+1 brilliant example. In my personal projects I am using reverse format f.e. 2017-11-22 (because when they're in the list in separate rows, columns look nice and clean). Such format can be also sorted by ordinary Excel/OpenOffice SpreadSheet, using regular string comparison for ASCII, without having to parse it.

In different countries coma and dot can delimiter thousands and fraction part. It depends on operating system language and country settings and custom application preferences (if it allows override global settings). Machine can be shared by couple persons from different regions of the world. f.e. 1,000.0 means 1 thousand for one person in one country, but for somebody else 1,000 means 1. Imagine situation, stock market investor, or stock broker (freshly hired and not used to different delimiters), will use "1,0 mln" he will try to sell 1 millions of shares in one country, but in 2nd country it will mean 1000 mln = 1 bln of shares. Nonsense. It's just a matter of quantity of humans per area unit of the Earth, and their starvation level.. People during sieges used to eat their cats, dogs, rats, mouses.. Starving people in Asia started eating insects. Western well-educated countries can develop GMO modified organisms, while poor, low educated countries, without access to GMO, will be (or can be) leaved on their own..

You can make any bits length floating point number as you wish/need. It's often needed when making scientific application. Operations on regular floats/doubles introduce errors. Every operation, they accumulate together. So after a while error can be quite significant. Therefor scientists-programmers make their own floating point C++ classes. typedef double SciFloat; // work with SciFloat (instead of double directly) as long as you need in project... // then when there is error caused by low precision: class SciFloat { // custom made float implementation.. // or use 3rd party library made by somebody else already (could contain unknown errors, as usual) // put them in overloaded operators.. }; When storing on disk, or transferring through Internet etc. etc. you will have to write such custom object as string, and parse string during loading back, as it's not binary compatible with regular IEEE float/double.
