To become f.e.CIA agent (or member of other national agencies) you need to pass through lie detector test, while to become president, you don't have to. Detective found using his spying software, that day prior examining somebody searched net for "how to deceive lie detector?".. The first time I hear somebody measuring capacitors by volume they take.. I am/was using electrolytic 400/450 V capacitors (2.2 uF or so) to produce high voltage, in Cockcroft-Walton generator. True scientist would blend potatoes in blender, get juice, fill distillation flask, perform distillation, and try to gather larger amount of product(s) (for various boiling temperatures, refining). And observe how they reacts with various other known compounds. Probably a day of work or so, to figure out their molar masses at least. Density would be known after the initial or second distillation.

I think it's pretty much misunderstanding on your part. If you have f.e. 1 m^3 volume of air, which has some energy E (thus energy density E/V), and 1 m^3 of vacuum-to-be. After making vacuum, energy will have to cover 2m^3 of volume.. Destruction because of lack of (or lower) pressure. But it depends on material. Organic materials, full of water, tend to boil at lower pressure. Particles around you create pressure. Pressure that keeps water in your body in liquid state. If there will be lack of this pressure (like astronaut outside of space ship without suit), water will start boiling at lower temperature than normally 100 C. It will be turning to gaseous state, even though it's cold.
