Homogeneity theory of nation formation
petrushka.googol replied to petrushka.googol's topic in General Philosophy
Nation building requires some form of social integration which is the theme of the OP..... -
Dreams - a hyper reality ?
petrushka.googol replied to petrushka.googol's topic in Anatomy, Physiology and Neuroscience
As an extension to the OP, are dreams a "convoluted reality" ? -
The Earth - Sky combination acts as a giant capacitor with air forming the dielectric. Can this be replicated on Venus or Mars (some sort of ion trap) ?

Some aspects of light were evident even in pristine cultures. People observed rainbows and saw that light was indeed made up of different colors. This was long before Newton and the prism. I agree that maybe the ancients were unaware of photons but to ascribe ignorance to early civilization based on atomic theory is unrealistic. Early cultures were aware of reflection (in mirrors) and refraction (at oasis). Maybe they could not visualize photons but then we could theorize that say a hundred years from now religion would have become more "malleable" and could accomodate what now seem as abstract concepts.

Here is my own theory..... During the week our systems are awash with our own catecholamines viz.adrenalin due to work stress. However physical activity tends to break them down resulting in less harmful impact. On Sundays we indulge in binge eating, alcoholism and sedentary activity. This builds up the levels of catecholamines and on Monday early morning, post REM sleep our bodies are kick started into action. This is the point of vulnerability....

The humor was subtle but frankly it was pure jest.......

Lightning as we know it on terra-ferma uses the conduit from a water bearing cloud to the Earth. On another planet where clouds are composed of Methane (as an illustration), :- a) Does lightning occur ? b) Does it have analogous properties ?

Is there a religion that unambiguously predicted that light does NOT behave as photons....?

In many cultures the theme is that Light is sacred. Drill down and you find that at a granular level photons are sacred. The absence of photons implies absence of an emitter (mass). Hence mass is sacred. Matter and energy are convertible and hence energy is sacred. (E=MC2). Man is a manifestation of matter and energy and hence man is sacred. Man is a manifestation of Life and hence Life itself is sacred. Do you agree ?

What we see in dreams does not exist and yet we perceive entities as tangible in a dream state. Can we read a dream and is there clairvoyance associated with this extended reality ? What are the latest views on the subject ?

This is digressing from the main issue. Still my question remains unanswered. -
Topology and health

Topology : Medicine The anatomical structure of a specific area or part of the body. (Source : The Free Dictionary). -
Does human topology have any link to predisposition to disease ? If we capture the silhouette of a person in 3D we can identify issues like pectus excavatum, obesity, stunted growth etc. for obvious reasons ? If we superimpose this silhoutte onto a normal persons trace we can see the deviation and presumably identify disease hotspots. Does any 3D imaging software replicate this ?

Homogeneity theory of nation formation

Need I specify. Here are some examples. 1) Indian Independence from Britain. (political) 2) Germany splitting into East and West. (social / political) 3) Creation of Bangladesh. (economic) 4) Australia evolving as a nation. (language and ethnicity). -
Homogeneity theory of nation formation

More like a catalyst....which explains why the formation of some nations is cataclysmic. (immediate concerns override prudence and sound judgement.). -
Homogeneity theory of nation formation
petrushka.googol replied to petrushka.googol's topic in General Philosophy
I visualize the people of a nation having a collective psyche that influences their choices and prejudices. The factors that I have listed though extraneous act at a subtler level. -
Does proton decay produce quarks and other elementary particles and what is the time frame involved ?

In a nutshell Yes. -
age of universe
petrushka.googol replied to petrushka.googol's topic in Modern and Theoretical Physics
Neutrinos are ubiquitous. Protons (H+) are essentially the raw material of stars and as you rightly point out they are a good indicator of stellar processes and age of the Universe. Neutrinos on the other hand are less likely to be pointers in this direction. Are there any other particles that indirectly correlate to the age of the Universe ? -
Does the distribution of elementary particles in the Universe presage the age of the Universe ?
-
Is it feasible to produce an electron-electron collider and would such a collider produce neutrinos ?

Homogeneity theory of nation formation
petrushka.googol replied to petrushka.googol's topic in General Philosophy
I would like to create a control for my theory. Consider a border less world and only 1 nation. Then progressively apply the constraints I have listed to create smaller social networks...viz. nations. -
Homogeneity theory of nation formation

The notion of "Common enemy" is a subtle expression of political philosophy. (point 4)
