  1. Q: Write the balanced net ionic equation for the complete neutralization of aqueous citric acid by sodium hydroxide, taking careful note of the number of carboxylic acid groups in the structure. A: I know that the beginning of the formula should be: C6H8O7(aq) + NaOH(aq) ---> but I don't know how to go about finding the reaction. Why do I need to take note of the carboxylic acid groups?
