  1. What exactly does it mean to "Make America great again"? When was America as great as Trump wants to make it "again"? That would be at the end of WWII, right? Trump would agree that the soldiers of WWII were the "greatest generation". Make America like the late 1940s again?! "In 'The Greatest Generation,' Tom Brokaw argues that the World War II generation's perseverance through difficult times is a testament to their extraordinary character...." http://people.howstuffworks.com/culture-traditions/generation-gaps/greatest-generation1.htm "Narcissistic personality disorder affects an estimated 1% of the general population.[10][11] Although most individuals have some narcissistic traits, high levels of narcissism can manifest themselves in a pathological form as narcissistic personality disorder (NPD), whereby the patient overestimates his or her abilities and has an excessive need for admiration and affirmation." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcissism Trump's narcissism looks pathological. Someone with such a high level of narcissism as Trump may be so out of touch with reality that in a rage they could wish to destroy the entire world because other people are not important. Even so-called loved ones and family are only toys for the use of a pathological narcissist. So like Hitler in his bunker ready to kill himself it meant nothing to him to issue his "Nero decree" that Germany should totally self destruct.
  2. Not to stray from the subject here, which is appropriately titled "Humbling at Hofstra" (Imatfaal did a good prediction here! Haha), anyone think Gary Johnson may make an endorsement for his voters to vote for Hillary, since he really doesn't have a chance to win, and he would probably prefer 4 years of Hillary than Trump, right? Did anyone catch his blunder when Hillary said to Trump "You are going to blame me for everything wrong with America?" or something like that. Trump answered "Why not?" That is a significant sin. That means he WOULD blame Hillary for "everything" which is an absurd thing to say. He claims to be religious, so he ADVOCATES breaking the 8th commandment from "God" which is "Thou shalt not bear false witness against your neighbor." His "Why not" means he is ok with lying about Hillary, "bearing false witness" for the greater good (the ends justify the means with Trump) so she does not become president. From the results of the debate I have a good feeling folks. All Hillary needs to do is be wise, stay silent when Trump gets fired up, just step aside and allow Trump to self-destruct in front of the world audience.
  3. He was assuming that Hillary had the powers of a president for 30 years and didn't do anything with those powers?!!
  4. On the subject of Trump's original willingness to go into Iraq and thus create the vacuum that ISIS filled. He continues to argue that he was against the war in Iraq from the beginning. We already know how on Howard Stern when asked if he thought it was right to invade Iraq he answered "I guess so..." but nobody jumps on him for what he said immediately following that "...we should have done it right the first time." That confirms his extreme hawkish attitude about Iraq, meaning that he believed, at that time, that the Senior Bush did not go far enough, that we should not only have kicked Saddam out of Kuwait, but should have continued into Iraq and conquered THAT country. Also on the subject of Obama "founding" ISIS by pulling out of Iraq, Iraq denied the US request that US troops not be prosecuted if they got into trouble, because it would open up sensitive info to the public. Didn't Obama have no choice but to leave Iraq because the Iraq government denied our request and didn't want the US there any longer? In general Trump has a sorry propensity to exaggerate at every opportunity, way beyond what is normal.
  5. Very interesting. I always wanted to know how small a space probe could possibly be so that a minimal mass could be accelerated to very high speeds by various methods or more than one propulsion method.
  6. A giant solar screen that orbits the sun but closer to the sun than the earth. That way it only needs to be a few thousand miles in diameter. Then when we detect a solar flare is on the way retrorockets move the screen into place between sun and earth to block the flare. Such a screen could also act as a damper on global warming. It is moved into place periodically to let the earth cool down.
  7. Who says any law enforcement effort would not overstretch its' authority in any criminal matter? Then have the web bots track down suspect web sites and a court order is issued to delete. Any speeches that advocate violent, criminal activity, or instructions on building bombs, are beyond the first amendment and should be subject to deletion.
  8. Why not figure out a way to track down the speeches by Al Awlaki and delete them from the internet wherever they pop up? There must be a way to send out web bots that track down speeches by influential jihadis and delete them.
  9. So-called "nothing" is not nothing, but rather a complicated medium of potential from which a big bang may arise. "Nothing" is in fact something.
  10. The expansion of space has nothing to do with individual galaxies. It only applies to the separation between superclusters of galaxies. Within our own Virgo supercluster absolutely nothing happens to the galaxies due to the expansion of space. We are all gravitationally bound together forever. Expansion of space is something that takes place far FAR away. Beyond the edge of our supercluster.
  11. Hillary finally shot herself in the foot by getting into the mud with Donald and calling half of Donald's supporters "deplorables". Stupid Hillary. That was something she never NEEDED to say, ((but we all are thinking what kind of people are unaffected by Trumps endless absurd antics? His obsessive need for constant attention and adulation? His obnoxious mannerisms?)). Even though we are wondering that, it should never be SAID.
  12. If the planet is in the habitable zone then anything is possible. Even if tidally locked, the twilight zone would be very interesting. If we only recently discovered that Mercury is not really tidally locked, then an exoplanet could be also mischaracterized.
  13. Have you heard the news that ISIS endorses Trump? He is the perfect polarizing force needed to begin Armageddon between the Islamic world and the infidels. He plays perfectly into their strategy to begin a holy war to engulf the entire world.
  14. "...How did Quasars escape from this earlier confined region of space to assume those position in space that the evidence (red shifts) indicate they occupied that long ago? They could not have been within this confined space and outside of it at the same time. Inflationary theory does not resolve this conondrum. Any suggestions?" Could you please write this in other words? It is not clear or coherent. Quasars are probably the first light after the big bang if supermassive black holes could have formed by a direct collapse rather shortly after the big bang. It took hundreds of millions of years after the big bang, after the cosmic dark ages, for the first stars to form. Then it took millions of years more for the first giant stars to supernova and create the first black holes.
  15. Trump TV seems very likely but only if he loses the election. It appears that Trump wants very much to be president, but he knows he cannot lose since he bet on both outcomes. His latest gaffs at the Commander-In-Chief show never end. He said Obama reduced the generals to "rubble" shows that he is near senile dimentia with the inability to choose appropriate words to convey an idea. How do generals become rubble? Then he is going to replace all the top generals? Very figurative language, but to the surreal. He said "To the victors go the spoils" of war, but also said we are NOT the victors in Iraq, but anyhow we should take our fair share of the spoils, oil, which will create a new crisis. And on and on. And yet he is very close in the poles. He may win the presidency! As mentioned above, his polls show a huge population of Americans are in favor of a guy like him! Or they cannot stand those goofy looks that Hillary is famous for, the looks that make Putin laugh. The Clinton team drives me nuts because they don't counter the crack-pot schemes of Trump quickly enough. Why not build a border wall? Why sanctuary cities? Why catch and release? Apparently the Obama admin is being very kind to the worst criminal illegal aliens and doing nothing about them. So it would seem. Only Trump will do anything about them. The Trump team brings up these points and the dumb Clinton team doesn't counter-argue.
  16. Only superclusters of galaxies are getting further away. All the galaxies in our Virgo supercluster are stuck together with us forever.
  17. Correction, the exact quote from Trump is in a Clinton ad. He said "Knock the crap out of him! Would you? Seriously." Every time you punch the Donald Trump Punching Bag it sets off a recording of Trump saying that. The punching bag should be of very tough material and construction to withstand a heavy beating.
  18. What I need is a Donald Trump Punching Bag. I am already damaged for life listening to his antics on TV. Imagine 4 years of his extreme narcissism, craving for constant attention, putting himself in the news everyday, systematically. I need to get rid of aggression by a nice Donald Trump Punching Bag. Google that and you will find a pathetic 3-foot tall punching bag that has a poor picture of The Donald. Any artists out there? Could you please design a better life-sized punching bag that has a better picture of him? Maybe a good charicature? But a photorealistic print of him with his big cartoon lips flying around may be very inviting. Heck, let's have both! Every time you punch him in the nose you hear a recording of Trump himself saying "beat the crap out of him!!" Remember that incident when a heckler was thrown out? "......Who, really, is Donald Trump? What's behind the actor's mask? I can discern little more than narcissistic motivations and a complementary personal narrative about winning at any cost. It is as if Trump has invested so much of himself in developing and refining his socially dominant role that he has nothing left over to create a meaningful story for his life, or for the nation. It is always Donald Trump playing Donald Trump, fighting to win, but never knowing why." That is the summary from the above article about the psychology of Trump which is long but very informative, thanks to iNow.
  19. Whomever wins this election, there will be a spectacular market for a punching-bag, cartoon-likeness of our next president. You know those life-size punching bags weighted at the bottom so they keep popping up for more punching.
  20. https://grabien.com/file.php?id=106900 I'm unable to copy and paste anything any more, so I typed out this address by hand. Clinton has her trademark goofy, wide-mouth, wide-eyed look as she jerks her head around in a strange manner.
  21. Nobody knows what social complications may arise from higher numbers of people and global warming will magnify it. Nobody knows how extreme the changes from global warming will be. When in doubt we should be careful about population.
  22. Excellent article. Just what I was looking for.
  23. Sorry, would it be ok to say "jerking her head around like she's having some kind of seizure."? How something is said usually matters, thank you.
  24. I was looking for the non-obvious instances of Trump psychology that the news media will probably ignore, sorry if it seems insignificant. Anyone know of any psychological studies on the personality of Trump?
  25. The ideal Mars mission is supposed to take about 9 months to get there, then you need to stay on Mars for about 18 months, then the return trip would take another 9 months. That kind of mission will minimize travel time. So that means 18 months in zero gravity and 18 months in Mars gravity for those who on the surface, but zero g's for 36 months for those in orbit around Mars. That much zero g's should be very bad for people even if it's not 6 years.
