Hello. I'm new on this forum, so let me first introduce my self:
My name is Dejan Kober, and I'm form Croatia (South-East Europe), I'm 27 years old, and mine general occupation is 3D design, modeling and animation.
And let's get to mine question... First, I want ti apologize if mine question is stupid, but I don't have any formal education in theoretical physics......
Today I have came across one video clip, witch explains multiple dimensions (10 dimensions): video clip
I have to say that after watching it, I have finally manage to visualize principle of multiple dimensions...
But... there is one thing that bothers me.... bending lover dimension in higher dimension....
For example that thing with ant on peace of paper... In theory, if we look at peace of paper as 2 dimensional space, and ant as 2 dimensional creature, then by bending that peace of paper in third dimension, we can make one point of that paper to appear in same place as other point, for example, point where that ant stands, and in theory, he can "jump" from first point to second instantly.... By that theory, we can bent 3 dimensional space in 4th dimension (time)... end so one till 10th dimension....
And what bothers me... that bending and getting one point of 2 dimensional space in same position as other point of that same space.... If I'm not wrong, two points of space, can't share same space in same dimension, without using upper dimension... what I want to say is that one point will remain 2D, but other will have to be 3D point, because she will have to be shifted in 3D space to share same 2D space as first point... there for, 2. point is still 2D, but shifted in 3D space.... and that's ok...
But... what about that ant?! How can he move from 1. point to 2. point if 2. point is shifted in 3D space, and ant is still a 2D creature, and he can't move in 3 dimensional space... well, he can, but he won't realize that, becouse if we only move him by Z axis, he will still think that he is in same place in 2D space.... there for, he cant "jump" from one point in 2D space to other point in 2D space by bending 2D space in 3D space... And If we "unfold" that 2D space, he will maybe be in 2. point, and move in 3D space, but, by unfolding 2D space, we will move him with that point, but he will still think that he is traveling all the way acros 2D space to get to 2. point, becouse he will see only that he is moving in 2D space.
So, my point is... from our point of view, we can see ant moving in 3D space, and that he did actually get instantly to 2. point, but ant won't realize that...
So by that, we can't move in time (time travel and stuff like that), becouse, even if we do move, we won't realize that...
I don't know if any of this makes any sense, but if someone understands what I wrote, can you please tell me if my thinking is correct or wrong...
P.S. I apologize for my English; it's not my native language, and I have learn it by my self....
