  1. ha, well no, im not in any catholic school, just the public high school in this tiny town. as for the reason why im being tought falty info{wich your right, i come home and compare data learned from them with stuff online and stuff here to make sure its right quite a bit}, i could look at data and take a guess. well, i live in central california, where much of the agriculture for the west coast{and more} are grown, and its a really hispanic community. at my school, out of the 3000 kids going there, theres about 20 whites, 100 blacks, 10 indians, and the rest are mexicans. wich is no big deal, no, theres alot of cool people in this town{alot of the little wana be gangsters too, wich is really annoying}, but, most of them are catholic. and most of my teachers are mexican, and possibly catholic too. thats the only reason i can think of at the moment. but, at least i have places like this to get a further varified and proper education. cheaper too.
  2. ya, they have a thing that talks about caloric restriction on "pushing the body" that i watched, but it showed a guy that was doing it, and he just looked anorexic, surely thats not healthy, is it?they also talked about just food in general restriction, and said that was much of the same results as caloric restriction, or maybe they just had the tests doing both. i dont know.
  3. due to snow, ya. what about things like muscle gain or sun taning, could that be classified as adaptations? is that what they are? when something needs more muscle or whatever, it will make more muscle to cope with its environment. could things like that{muscle gain, darkened or lightened skin color, bone density gain, etc...} just add up with variations of environments and ecosystems to eventually lead on to speciation? i know that things like skin color changes are due to changes in melanin {i think, might be something else} from light quantites received, but i still consider it like muscle gain, an adaptation. am i wrong? thanks.
  4. didnt the wmap come state that there isnt enough data even including the possible dark energy for the universe to actaully contract? and that was after another satelitte that got similiar, less precise results. doesnt that support the supposed big chill?
  5. ya, i like that alot. one think i like to say when debating people like that, and they say im close minded and i need to open my mind more, i either say that if im close minded in this crap, your close minded to science, or, i take the comical side and tell them that if i open my mind too much my brain will fall out. thank you tim minchin.
  6. ha, i know what you mean, my biology teacher is the same who has his own little speeches of how global warming is a scam. although i believe that there isnt enough data to truly show wether we are the cause or not of global warming, or if it even exists, i guess it could be like what they say, that is just a warming peroid wich has happened throughout history, but id like to go green just in case. and even it global warming is just a warming period wich will pass, at least we save and gain more precious energy{and money}.though the polar ice caps melting is pretty tough evidence supporting warming.
  7. so i wasnt elected the cheif pony wrangler in the name of science! DAMN!
  8. ok, cool thanks. although i do want to get buff, but ill also try and level it out with lots of jogging and swimming{im on the swim team, so thats no problem} and mix my heavy weightlifting evenly with light but longer weightlifing. would that cancel it out? does the heart get more muscular? thats good right? thank you all, so much. your right, that way my last q for that topic. my bad. as for this one, arent there pills that contain this wich people claim to stop the aging process? do they work? i have heard that red wine can actually reverse the aging process, is that just wishfull lies people everyone wants to beleive so they spend loads on them, for nothing much?
  9. ippeppers, i dont see your pony wrangler. i see mine though. i guess its like that with some people. i see it on some people though. for a second i thought i was some kind of administrator. damn.
  10. what exactly is a la nina? i looked it up, but i couldnt find anything other than reports of them, not what they are. thanks
  11. ooh, i beg to differ. skinny may be unhealthy, but god i think its so beautifall. not nicole richy, but like many models today. skinny, but not see through. what a good catch frase.
  12. ha, my dad says quite the opposite, wich in its own way is right, but... "if its not 100% right its not right at all"
  13. im on the swim team, so i think thats pretty good for my heart, but im also kind of a fan of weight lifting. should i be worried about this? what do you mean by tensing muscles agtainst a load? are push ups bad? thanks for your help
  14. how could some one get the antibodies for something that mutates so fast? is there just like a discovered kill all vaccine? all shapes in one?
  15. i ment real plants in an artificial environment, where the light from these lights represents the sun, my bad.
  16. how could global warming lead to an ice age? ive heard of it on tv, but missed it. i know this is a little of topic, sorry.
  17. or you could just bootleg those c/ds, download that textbook, and do whatever the hell you do with WoW.{world of warcraft?} i like to cheat when it comes to money. is it possbile to just get some contacts and put some type of paint or adhesive on them{that still alows your eyes to breath} and does the same thing? anyone know of anything like that? i doubt sharpie would be too healthy.
  18. why do you have to have special lights for artificial plant growth? is it that one just uses more energy and also puts forth more photons similiar to the suns amount to plants? why is it that flourescant{i know theres another one, thats better, tungteen or something, though thats the filament in light bulbs so i could be getting it mixed up} is so much better than just a normal light bulb? dont they produce the same thing and only that one thing?{photons}
  19. how does it reduce, but not eliminate? is that just what they have to say to make sure no one will get knocked up and sue them?
  20. ahh. i see, thanks. i thought it was just a typo. im not sure if anyone knows much about this, but a while ago i was talking to a doctor and he said that body building, especially upper torso and pectorals, is bad for the heart, because the heart has to then pump all this extra muscle it has acquired{it gets buff}. but, then wouldnt that mean that this buff heart could push out more and faster, and with more ease, so why wouldnt it be healthier heart? its like a small skinny person and the hulk, id say the hulk could go for a jog alot longer than the skinny person, even against his body mass and weight, because of his muscle.
  21. is sounds like my biology professuer was taking lessons from the pope.
