gamma rays? what do you guys keep high energy photons and radioactive decay in? -
what makes them think that "non-space" is well, just that?
cameron marical replied to cameron marical's topic in Speculations
what satelite=the Wikinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe, or WMAP. what book=interstellar travel. by jhon w. macvey. but i really just want to talk and speculate on the curvature of space.move me if you will. i also wanted to figure out why, in this book also, it is thought that the space between our space is empty. couldnt it be the opposite? whis is also off topic, but i was watching the universe and it was talking about parallel universes, and the lhc was in it. it said that it could help see if there were parallel universes, at least thats what i thought i heard. how? Merged post follows: Consecutive posts mergedoh look at that, ive been moved. -

i havent heard of this... the hidalgo rocket sounds vaguely familiar though. i like the idea, and i wonder why it isnt up there right now. probably something to do with money, im sure. what a shame... -
im reading a book wich really opened my eyes to this, i love it. but i have one question about it. it talks about spaces possible/what they say probable curve, well i know there was that satelite that said that it wasnt, but i think that its just really too big for that satelite to catch its curve. but thats all off point, what i want to know is why people think that non space is just something that doesnt have anything and possibly has no time. it doesnt really explain why, but i want to know why they think that. is that what is still thought? how can anyone tell? why cant this non space above and under the curvature of space be something thats filled with stuff? cosmos, other worlds, life maybe. why do they think that its just a vaccum desert with different physics. the different physics part, maybe, but why so similiar to empty space? it also goes alot under the assumption that its mostly bubble shaped. why not the curvature of space be fluctuated? maybe thats why the galaxys are speeding away from each other. fluctuating space moving them. this book was written in the late 70's so its probably pretty out of date. anyways, any ideas? i love talking about this stuff.

interesting. im glad their doing this.

i think so. thats actually what i believe. i think its just a man made measuring concept to measure something moving from a to b. much like a meter, or feet, if your a yank. but in a different way.

ya, so why dont we have a couple satelites floating around in space at totally different coordinates, full of fuel, and when theres an asteroid threat, just send one out to gallantly save the day? and not really hit it head on, more like to the side to use much of its already acquired energy with you instead of swimming against the current, and just shift it to the side so it misses earth. you could use the attractor method even and save the satelite if it will work fast enough and theyre all far enough out. -

why would they deny it? and then, if they do complain about weapons in space, just simply point out the fact that you just saved earth from a possible and probable, not only mass extintions, but human extinction.you cant really argue with that. and just emphasize how it would be a un idea instead of just one countrys, so to make it seem less likely for space weaponry. it would also be controlled by the un, or possibly a different international organization meant specifically for neo collision prevention. -

what about something like a pyramid type shape wich goes into space to face the giant rock, then once out of orbit, the pyramid "pops" off and theres just a large platform thats traveling at a pretty high speed straight towards an asteroid. wouldnt this block it? -

high energy photon. like a realy high powered laser? and i though that radioactive decay is just matter thats throwing about crazy protons all over the place.? -
what would a free electron be classified as, space radiation?

ok, ya, i know. your right about the part with the cage, so maybe you could have multiple lasers shooting at different angles wich have receivers, wich also have lasers shooting in other directions{ to receivers wich have the more lasers and different directions } , and before you know it, just do it over and over again, and you have something that warns us about asteroids that are of threatening size, and ignores the little ones, or catches them with only one laser, we can judge the size by how many disruptions there are. as for the staying in one place, well, there is no gravity in space, so unless theres something like a meteor rock wich knocks one out of normal floating location,{wich, i know, would screw everything else up, like a chain of reacitions, but i think that that can be solved}, then i think were good. the screw you thing was kind of just a joke man, not realy to offend anyone... -
so its like the brains a muscle. i can finally say that i work out every day!

. couldnt you use laser reflection to do just that. kind of like a trip wire, have two wires and two recievers next to those, reasonably far out in space, and have them constantly beaming them at each others recievers, and if theres a rock of any size coming in, bigger, the more likely detected, itll will have a disruption if the constant feedback. then it can send a signal back to earth and voila, we know an asteroid is near. just have, oh, well, id say about maybe 12 pairs of these, and you can cover alot of the space around earth. theyd be quite spaced out, but lasers do travel at the speed of light... they could be powered by solar of course, so it wouldnt take extra energy after theyre up. and if this sounds like one of the stupidest ideas youve ever heard, two things" A: screw you B: just keep in mind what einstein said, "imagination is more important than knowledge". and just go a little easy on me. for i am but a boy:-) Merged post follows: Consecutive posts mergedid say some type of detection is worth it, no matter what way, compared to the consequince of any asteroid hitting earth. -

Does anyone here know how to download a video file from U-tube ?
cameron marical replied to Fedace's topic in Computer Help
you can just go look up realplayer.com. download real player, you can then download any video you want on the internet. its awsome. it works for me too. if it says that you need divx files, just download those too, itll bring you to there website, just click download. i didnt get any viruses either. -
i agree. i do it alot im my... well, in my every minute of the day and sometimes at night time. i think that the universe is still going to contract, just as a little trick to get all the energy back in one place to spread it out again, renew the stars, etc... maybe mankind, and all existing lifekind advanced enough to do it, could burn holes in spacetime{im not trying to pass this off as my idea, i know, i heard it off the universe}, and get to alternate states of reality, or maybe the space between spaces as is suggested there is in the membrane theory, and live off total recyclemt. just a biodynamic, floating in space, and harboring advanced and intelligent life, ecosystem. i know, im very imaginative. but in the words of einstein, imagination is more important than knowlege. id like to kind of meet that halfway.

we should have some satelittes a little bit out there to send back like a live feed showing asteroids or something like that. motion activated... -
ya. those two shows really helped me get into science. more of the universe than the cosmos though. michio kaku rocks. i posted this on another forum so this is a little of course, but this question has been buging me ever since i came up with it. say we put solar panels all throughout space surrounding our planet, and also put lightbulbs in the atmosphere {for artificial sunlight of course}, could we literally recylce everything that happens on our planet energy-wise? would we still eventually run out of energy somehow? this is future tense, im just pondering ideas that might help out us later on... Merged post follows: Consecutive posts mergedif anyone answers it, thanks. if not, its cool.

i dont know... thats pretty freaky that people dont know when an asteroid of any size relatively close to the earth. what if that asteroid was just a little too close and we got hit by it? thatd suck! -

Can We Possibly Increase The Initial Speed Of Light?
cameron marical replied to einsteinium's topic in Physics
i dont understand why it wouldnt be the other way around. wouldnt the light seem to move away from the projecter at 1.5C and the light will seem to go towards the target at just normal C, therefore light should travel faster than usuall. .5 faster. i know this is contradictory to relativity, but im just trying to grip this.
