from a christian perspective Mohammed invented Islam by copying from christianity from Jewish perspective he did that by copying from the Old Testament from Islamic perspective he came as a prophet from Allah as Jesus was a prophet from the same God , Islam considers the Gospels as corrupted books with some true verses , if we consider Mohammed as a true prophet with true Qur'an and Jesus as a true prophet with partially true Gospel and they both came from the same God they will have common traditional connections.

I remember the day I started to believe in God when I said to myself , well God commands to do the right things and I appreciate doing the right things . Suppose God is imaginary and I am asking help , protection etc from an imaginary entity so what I'll loose while the things I ask God are not capable to be done by myself. I said to myself the reason why I won't believe in God is because I live in the USA ( I mean United Sudan in Africa!!) The country of science , technology and civilization and other people will laugh at me because I believe in an old book full of legends when I should focus on my work in NASA to know about heaven without the need for such book.

I meet a lot of believers they believe in God , but they do what they want they are not afraid of hell. I think the reason is the idea that God exists is accepted by most people but the idea that this God will burn me on fire forever is not, why God will burn me on fire because I stole or murdered while the jude will punish me much less, I think the punishment is according to God's nature and not according to the nature of your crime.

the Bible is full of mistakes and everybody here agrees with that. Jesus was not the son of God only the Christ and everyone agrees with that the Christ was not sent to die on the cross and to save men and nobody has argued with me about that. so I suggest no subforum on religion because it will talk about nonsense and that will damage the picture of this science forum.

(KJV) if God loves the world he will give everlasting life for whom he wants, without his son, they say :well ,God has a nature not to forgive without a reason or sacrifice , so how God gave his only begotten son to men without a return ! ! if he did that without a return , why he just forgive people and give them everlasting life without sacrifice or return ? !! note: the verb is God gave and not Jesus came by his own! if we supposed Jesus came by his own , then according to Christianity Jesus is divine he has God's nature why he gives salvation to men without another kind of sacrifice or return?!

if you know God's will and it is that the global warming does not have a solution , then you just sit at home burn a lot of coal , gas, and petrol and wait until the earth is a huge fire! if you know God's will and it is that the global warming has a solution then do your best to find the solution, the idea is we do not know God's will, if we know God's will we'll be part of God's decisions, it appears in very near future, you know how you'll move your hand, you move it as you want! in Qur'an Mohammed says: if I know the future( what is going to happen) nothing bad will happen to me. a lot of wisdom like the whole verses which state not to look at a married woman thinking of her. if we think of adultery as between married people, the same in Qur'an for married woman do not even come close to adultery, for unmarried woman do not commit adultery. the ten commandments are great.( nobody is empty of sins) nobody should punish someone for his sins only for his crimes, the story of prophets excluding the story of Lot commiting adultery with his daughters, the story of creating the earth and heavens excluding that God had rest at the seventh day. and the tree of knowing good and bad.in fact Qur'an commands Muslims to believe in the Bible excluding some of its verses and facts that do not agree with Qur'an or its general message. Qur'an " Say, [O believers], "We have believed in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants and what was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him." what was given to Moses is Torah, what was given to Jesus is a Gospel(s) however " O you who have believed, if you obey a party of those who were given the Scripture, they would turn you back, after your belief, [to being] unbelievers." who were given the Scriptures are Christians and Jewish, Allah says party of them and not all of them, how party of them will know the truth? by excluding parts of the Scripture .

by God permission does not mean that it was done by God and man does not have any kind of will on it but it is like humans cause global warming and God says ok let it happen! we can't say the same thing for Jesus because Jesus according to Christianity is part if God will Jesus does what he wants whether God agree or not , Perhaps God agrees every time because they are one the previous post of mine shows how two opposite actions come from the same doer.

Yes I have, but if I managed to do that it would be by God permission , the same for Jesus he raises the dead by God permission , that what Qur'an teaches, if Jesus rebukes the wind by his own will and God blows wind by his will then we'll have opposite actions with different wills! that what the(Quranic) verse above states, the universe will collapse ! imagine that a girl dies , she suffered a lot of pain, Jesus was asked to raise her from death, so God wants her to die and suffer pain and Jesus wants to give her life!! if Jesus and God are one and they both killed the girl and they both raise her from death, then that will be like a boss fires you today and hires you tomorrow and he does the same thing with some other employees ! his company will collapse !

(KJV) we all (believers) know that God makes rain, wind , etc but it happened that his son did not agree with some of his work on earth!! and to show to his disciples that he is more merciful than his father and their God!! he rebuked the wind and save them from perishing or being killed by God!! Qur'an chapter 23 verse 91 "Allah has not taken any child for Himself, and nor is there any other god along with Him If it were so, each god would have wished superiority over the other. Glorified is above all that which they attribute to Him."

it is difficult to develope a specific opinion about ISIS because they mix politics with religion , according to real Islam they are wrong , they have the same Sunni's principles of killing unbelievers . according to politics they may be right.

They are not, as a Quranist I believe only in Qur'an rejecting all other books that states that you should fight unbelievers and kill them. and other bad things. Qur'an is clear, Qrur'an chapter 2 verse 190 " Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress. Indeed. Allah does not like transgressors." fight in the way of Allah means Jihad, those who fight you , those who start fighting you and not those who are peaceful , do not transgress do not start attacking those who are peaceful unless they attack you.nobody should punish anyone for he is unbeliever or for his sins I think this is something God does. I remember a verse in the Bible when the Jewish brought an adulterer woman to Jesus and asked him that how do you think she should be punished he said( nobody is empty of sins) and it is true , however in Islam an adulterer should be punished not because he is sinful( as nobody is empty of sins) but because adultery is a kind of crime like stealing , it is a betrayal . other verse is ".....So whoever has assaulted you, then assault him in the same way that he has assaulted you. And fear Allah and know that Allah is with those who fear Him." also " ......and expel them from wherever they have expelled you"

it is not necessary you do bad things to people, for instance imagine that you traveled to an Islamic country where there are those people who think they serve God by killing unbelievers they consider you as an enemy whether for your religion or your country's policy. also a person may consider you as an enemy because he or she is jealous of you since you won a competition , etc. I said a general mistake the author of the book tries to emphasize that Jesus is divine by describing him as he is in the Gospels so he invented an imaginary character and that is the mistake.

I understand , and it would be fair if we have two countries one for those who were banished for years , and those who think they can't leave their country because they lived in it for years (Palestinians ) .

you will not consider people as your enemies but some people will consider you as their enemy, as I said this is not a practical way of dealing with your enemies, the defence strategy is not just in animals but also in humans , if you do not defend yourself you will not survive , only Jesus will survive because he is the son of G..... and he does not need to defend himself!! so I recommended you not to try to be Jesus , because Jesus according to Gospels is imaginary ! you will be like a child trying to copy superman and he falls!! if a person has good deeds and forgives other people that will be OK, but the author of the Gospels exaggerates much more and this is a general mistake of the Bible, it is like:look !your God himself has left great heaven to come to bad earth , he suffered a lot of pain , his teachings testify for that he is more than good, if a person strikes you on cheek turn to him the other one, etc.

sorry, but you should take in consideration some emotional statements about one's belief, it is a religious discussion! This equation applies in every religion , God likes believers and hates unbelievers, the egyptians were unbelievers. the choosing process is not because God likes them more than others, but because they Just was chosen. as Abraham was chosen as a prophet his sons were chosen as his people , not because they were good but because God should choose people whether they are the Africans ,Arabs, and because prophets were from them God chose them. they were chosen but God broke his promise with them. the idea about hating the Jewish in my opinion is because they hate Muslims and is according to Qur'an, I do not care about other Muslims, If a Jew does not hate me I will not hate, finally why Jewish hate Muslims because they think prophets should only be among them . that what I slam teaches.

God punished Adam and Eve by removing them from garden of Eden, if a judge punishes a criminal by for instance 15 years of prison , will he come after that to judge the criminal again!! so why does your evil God (sorry because God in Christianity is love!!) remeber such thing!!! you do not need to twist facts, do not shy just say it I am the son or daughter of God!! also if God=energy or the universe it means insects are sons of God also human shi... is also part of God!! I think this verse means: Mohammed adopted son Zayd wanted to divorce his wife because(he did not have any need for her) then Mohammed thought : it would be a good thing to marry her when he leaves her, so he told Zayd (keep your wife) because although he liked his wife he wanted him to do the right thing . so when Zayd finally divorced his wife Mohammed married her.

I think logic is applied to religion as it is applied to physics , Moses , Jesus and Mohammed gave logical reasons why a person shouldn't commit adultery , steal etc , miraculous things do not seem logical but God who gave miracles to his prophets created things that are greater than miracles, the sun , the stars and life itself, I think miraculous things are also logical. No I meant God created Jesus as other creations of his, he did not take him as a son, Jesus is not equal to God , however God is greater than him and Allah is Jesus's God and not his father , that what I mean.

I can't be the son of God neither the Christ, Jesus had only one divine feature that he was able to give life Qur'an declares that Jesus gave life by God permission and he is not the son of God because he eats and drinks and I see this as a logical reason because food gives life if you do not eat you won't survive any more so he needed food to remain alive and he was not able to give life to himself without food, and food was created by God , so God gives life to Jesus as God gives life to other humans, so God created Jesus as Qur'an states and not begot him as a son.

was Jesus the Christ or the son of God? can Jesus be both the son of God and the Christ? in Jewish traditions the Christ or the Messiah was mentioned as a savior, I do not know what kind of salvation he supposed to present to his believers, but when Jesus came as the son of God, he announced the salvation as salvation from sins, I do not believe any of these words, anyway Jesus can not be the son of God if he is the Christ, the son of God is in a higher rank than the Christ, if Jesus were the son of God he would be mentioned in the old testament as the son of God not as the Messiah ,the Jews were waiting a savior not the son of God, what I mean by (a higher rank) is the son of God can do what he wants , he is the son of God , he does not need to be a savior , he can forgive sins directly, and that what Jesus did to a woman in the Bible ( go and your sins are forgiven!!), so the Christ who the Jewish are waiting for and the Muslims believe in is not a son of God , he is a person who will save people, in Islam Jesus came to give the Jewish permission for some forbidden things , give them permission to leave some of Moses laws, is this kind of salvation ? perhaps.
