people seek for less important matters like flying for their solutions so if a prophet or a religion presents a solution for death I will take that seriously I think you changed the subject by talking about lie detectors .
-
you can use an elevator , but what is the solution for death? science and technology have not found solution for death until now.
-
you do not need a lie detector people die for their beliefs nobody dies for lies, in addition the idea of believing is a matter of replacing other beliefs, people worshipped gods that they made when Jesus came they just replaced their beliefs , we believe in prophets no matter they are right or wrong , but to have hope in afterlife, and to obtain religion pushing us to do good things, so I ask this question : why do not we believe Jesus was real even if there is not a noticeable evdince ?
-
My knowledge of Christianity is from reading the bible, I read that Jesus (the son of man) will come with his angels on a cloud in the judgement day with glory , only Jesus might be described as the son of man, in addition he was talking about the end of the world and when he will return.
-
If Jesus is so merciful why he will burn evil people in hell? he will come to get revenge according to the bible! and this revenge will not end by death!
-
at least scientific theories have noticeable evidence.

Ahl-Ul-bayt are the best among all Muslims they are after Mohammed in rank and before his followers, but I believe that Mohammed himself should follow Quran and not to add to it, Quran itself contains sayings of Mohammed and other prophets, there are only three books (or more) that we should believe in , Torah, Gospel, and Quran. No Talmud, No Sunnah, No Acts, etc.
-
unfortunately we Quranists differ a lot from other Muslims, we reject a lot of Islamic books and we accept only the Qur'an , in addition we understand Qur'an differently , the first fact (Jesus is only a human) is a traditional Islamic view for Jesus, the second one is a Qur'anist's view, in Qur'an Jesus is called the spirit of God, he was given the holy spirit , which was not given to any other human . one of the Quranists says" Jesus is greater than what Muslims think and less great than what Christians think" this kind of act is called punishment rather than revenge , he was one of the disciples and was punished for his betrayal , I think any prophet will do the same , I am not sure about Moses's laws if such person should be killed but it is written in Qur'an that for those who fight God and his messenger should be killed or crucified or ,etc you can refer to Qur'an if you like.

Jesus had both God characteristics and human characteristics that why an argument between a Muslim and a Christian continues forever, Islam considers Jesus as an ordinary human whom was given miracles like giving life, Christians consider him as divine who became flesh to do a particular job, however Qur'an refers to Jesus as the spirit of God, and spirits of God are angels ,in Islam we have the creator and the creation , the creator is God himself, the creation are angels, Jesus, humans, the devil, animals, etc, so I see Jesus as a unique creation of God like an angel in the shape of a human.
-
saying that Jesus was only human is a Muslim interpretation! and it is completely at odds with the whole message of divine Christ!
-
Jesus was a prophet with some of God characteristics ,he was not divine, he escaped from being crucified, putting the person who guided the soldiers on the cross as a revenge , in Islam the Romans crucified a person who had the shape of Jesus and not Jesus himself. this give the feeling that Jesus was a powerful man and this is more important fact about Jesus being the messiah than other things like raising people from death you perhaps know how God mentioned the power of Moses and what he did to the Egyptians, the power of Jesus was escaping from being crucified, getting revenge from the person who guided the Romans to him by putting his shape on him, and finally rising to heaven.

perhaps you are not interested in religious discussion, some people like religious discussion, they like discussing about other holy books other theologies , for the same reason people discuss about for example physics they discuss about religion , the difference is everyone believes in the theory of relativity but not all people believe in the Bible.

The big bang, is it behind the existence of the universe?
yahya515 replied to yahya515's topic in Speculations
if I understood clearly, the universe did not come to existence from nothing by a bang. it already exists. Thank you -
I am a Quranic Muslim. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quranism

it seems that you prefer to discuss about my way of discussion rather than the topic of discussion itself.I think nobody in this (scientific website) will benefit from such discussion .

There are two things that make something real imaginary, lying and saying things that are impossible, for God he does not lie and he can do anything.

is it possible for something like the universe, consists of many stages of formation, atoms, elements, compounds, biological systems, to exist by one single bang?

I think Jesus is real. the person who created this character is definitely God, because such imaginary person with everything Jesus did and said, has not been created, even by people who compose novels and movies, spiderman, batman ,etc are nothing compared to Jesus, and those people who invented movie characters witnessed the visit to Mars and Moon, because he was invented by God he is real.

for why earth will not transfer energy to itself, you can refer to my equation on this post. the angular velocity of the resultant rotation is inversely propotional to the radius of the original rotation, i.e radius should not be zero.for why such thing should occur, you can refer to my post (new source of renewable energy) if I am wrong saying that foucault pendulum is not about rotating,it means it is about rotating! and this is an evidence.
-
foucault pendulum is about changing the angle of swing, and not about rotating. The earth's motion effect causes foucault pendulum to change angle of swing and that for pendulums, and cause objects to rotate and that for hanging objects and this is not in wikipedia.

It is a theory , perhaps I am wrong, but this is not found in wikipedia ,I suppose there is a kind of motion transformation in order to explain why a hanging object by string will spin around its vertical axis when we turn the string around, and why any object hanging with a string will rotate due to earth's motion, some rotation within rotation appears in this system, even though this can not be applied to orbital planets motion.

I understand this as (everything was declared by God as good is holy), if so ,God described other things as good but they are not holy, if not , please either explain or write it in simple English becuase I am confused by the pronoun (we).

the word holy and good are not synonoms, also God described other things as good such as sees"and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good" and "and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good" so good here means attractive or benefitial.

Are there any mistakes in the Bible? God can not see in the dark! Genesis chapter one : "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day." (KJV) at that time God had not created human yet , why God describes darkness as a thing that exists? this means that God feels darkness, there was not a human to feel darkness, but God describes darkness , that means he feels it, and that why God created light before he created other things and the sun itself!!! because he wanted to be able to see in order to create other things!! "God saw the light , that it was good" if he does not feel darkness he won't describe light as good!!

a religious mistake is not an argument , it is within a particular religion and its environment, perhaps according to Judaism or christianty it is OK for a prophet to do what Lot did, however I am talking about contradictions as mistakes.
