I have read that we already know that movement is registered within the brain sometime before the act is followed through. IF... a form of entanglement is arranged between the brains of the two individuals prior to performing the sword cutting the BB trick, specifically within that realm of shared awareness of the two, and the two individual maintain focus of a common perception of intent of a predetermined positive outcome, during the leadup and duration of that test, then a positive outcome of the test changes from nearly impossible to something less so . Saying that, I am certainly skeptical of the supposed validity of the that form of testing, and don't consider it in any way other than it's entertainment value, unless it could be repeated, just as normal esp testing requires, a preferred method to address the overall question of how the trick might have been done, based upon fundamentals.

so you are saying that the C-12 fusing with He-4, and other steps in the stellar process make the idea unworkable? Is that judged by current technological means, or by some theoretical insurmountable barrier that a technology in a billion years or so could not figure a way around? You said that fission doesn't take place inside our sun, but I am saying that the fissioning be performed by selected removal of the heavy elements, brought to some suitable place, perhaps outside the sun itself for reduction, and the lighter elements then replaced to the center.The fissioning mechanisms could borrow energy from the normal fusion of the sun to perform that work, thereby making the process more energy neutral...

If the sun, as predicted, will uncomfortably expand in the far future, couldn't a process be developed of sending mechanisms to enter the solar core to fission the heavier elements before that becomes a critical issue, thus maintaining an appropriate ratio and so keeping the unwanted eventuality at bay?

aline, it isn't a conclusion, only a question as to if there was any thinking in relevant circles that certain altered conditions of space itself, if that were possible to happen, were to be causing the dark matter phenomena....that's it, just a question. The ideas that led to this question are that if space has a natural curvature in each microscopic grain, and that curvature is intimately related to the gravitational potential of each grain, that a tendency of the "heaviest grains" to agglomerate might occur. Bender- the biological end of the research is Hammeroff, not Penrose. Penrose wondered where in the brain such functions could occur, and Hammeroff suggested the place, specifically the microtubules in cellular skeletons. The collaboration is now based on research into that area. Yes, I have watched the lectures on utube by both Hammeroff and separately by Penrose. and not summaries. i presume others in the forum have too, possibly yourself, and if i am inaccurate in some of my statements regarding what they report at lectures, i apologize. Maybe the frequency they calculated was 2 mhz, not 20 mhz...but the basic idea is fairly simple and easily stated......Yes, it is speculative to consider it in ourselves until you consider the evidence of the effect in plants and birds. If you are unaware of that, you might check that out first..phi for all..yes the psychologists may have "moved away" from the idea of the triune brain, but having worked with them and knowing a few of them well, I am quite aware of the deficiencies and trendiness of the field.

well, if awareness is ticking along at 20mhz....I doubt if you could do anything but feel it as more or less continuous process. No, I don't know of any researches in the field who has the same stature of Penrose...but I have seen others doing lectures on related things on utube, such as the quantum processes within photosynthesis and birds that have a quantum sensor in one of their eyes to see the magnetic fields in order to navigate during migrations. I realize the negative feelings about this and the "brain is too wet and noisy to allow quantum computations". According to their research, there are water free regions in the microtubules, the skeleton support members of most all cells. And the photsynthesis data seems pretty persuasive, and that is in a wet plant leaf. Awareness is slow...?..try to catch a fly in your hand next time you see one.

check out Penrose/Hammeroff. There is reasearch going on for some years now, that the quantum is required for consciousness, as regular synaptic electrochemical loops are too slow to maintain awareness...attention is being focused on the microtubules present in the cells that seem to have a quantum function, and at around a 20mhz clock freq...

the 3 I refer to is the three minds, reptilian, mammalian, human. If the awareness is a quantum function, then each of the 3 has a 20mhz QComputr and as such, due to the monogamy principle of qm, only two are capable to entangle at a time, leaving one in relative isolation, except through the normal, very much slower electochemical route. This is the reason that hope, for us 3 brained is always an unfulfilled 3 way away.., as quanta don't play that way...unfortunately. free energy's appeal is the possibility that everything came from a void, and that we're swimming in a sea of free energy, and we should be able to tap into that now. But that "Free energy offer to new accounts" largely ended 14 billion years ago. Sorry, company policy.....no free energy for you! Except for the dark energy which is pretty feeble and so unusable at this point for convention power needs....For me, semantics of mathematics implies that there was some self amplification process of a minimum default of the void, of finite duration.. The semantic meaning of " the void" is that that void consisted of 1 void, in a numerical sense. Hence, the first seed of natural numbers.

why couldn't dark energy and dark matter be of a common origin? just as quantum phenomena has a dual reality, why not the virtual particles delivering the dark energy component with the slight left over energy due to a minimum inefficiency of the pair creation /annialation process, and the "dark matter", being a result of the physical requirement of the process to be within our universe. During that brief period, the necessary geometric pair structures could have a range of sizes during physical presence, thus offering the curvatures.

well then, isn't space curved by the mere presence of a universe full of itself, and would be so even if nothing else was in it? My original intention of this post was to ask if anyone on the site knows of any credible person in the physics community has conjectured that DM is a space phenomena and not a particle...and could direct me to a utube lecture or video on the subject if they know of one. I realize I am not qualified to do more then to ask the question...I feel fairly sure someone has looked at this rather obvious question and then ruled it out, and I would like to know why. no casimir force in space...? there would be if a proper setup was arranged, but my meaning is that there is a fundamental thing going on and that can be detected by perturbing that "thing" via the test.

It is the jiggling of virtual particles that deny the ability to reach 0 kelvin, that is what I am considering the default minimum average force of space.

i am suggesting that space has it's own curvature, and that curvature is expressed by (or perhaps is) the physical shape, or duration of the quantum foam, within each microscopic grain of space. The Casimir effect is shows a default average material force of space. Such a broadly arranged test is going to average out any variations within the area of the test plates.

I conjecture that IF there are naturally occurring variations of the dynamics of (unperturbed) free space, allowing for at least 2 slightly varying states, the effect is a long term separation of those elements. The early universe supposedly expanded less rapidly than present, and if these variations of states were mixed in a more homogeneous fashion at first, the sequestering of the heavier state(s) into galaxy binding would have had less time to act, slowing expansion. Eventually, as the heavier state(s) were subsumed into galactic halos, this could leave the space between galaxies with a higher predominance of the lighter state. allowing for a more rapid expansion between them, and less so within them. I read with interest about a month ago that a very early galaxy has evidence of little or no "dark matter" in it. While this alone (if indeed this is true) is not why I think the early universe played out in this fashion, it is interesting, and i like the idea that dark matter could be stranger than just another atypical particle.

has any thought been given to dark "matter" being not made of some alternative type matter, but is a collection of "squeezed space" itself, mimicking the presence of an invisible material ? If space is thought to be expanding, why can't it shrink at some points within that general expansion? if the early universe had some regions of space that were slightly denser, in a random placement among "normal" space, these slightly altered space components could seek each other out, thus clumping, and so be incorporated within galaxy formations, thus speeding up the stellar rotation rates.

In the case of neutrinos infalling a black hole, are neutrinos thought to have any different reaction to the hole vs. any other massive or massless particle?

I have never seen a copper circuit expand in my repair business, but the substrate board might at some point, shrink. I have never noticed that other than that the board can burn at a failed junction if the joint is in a high current location, if you can term that "shrinkage". What I have noticed is that the solder seems to evaporate, not that I have direct evidence of that, other than seeing it thin out in a ring, circling a high current connection. As the solder mass shrinks, the temp accordingly goes up due to increasing resistance, hastening the process of joint failure, causing an open circuit. I have seen an instance or two of a situation where I soldered loose connections, only to have the set come back 10 years later to me, and the solder had done a similar "disappearing act" at the same locations. Also, general heat seems related to the copper adhesive to loosening up, sometimes finding them loosened near the failed joint. Never have I seen where the copper had extended itself any observable amount. I have noticed that all solders are not the same. There are differing qualities and have recommended avoiding cheap solders that may have contaminants, which seems to be unhelpful in a long lasting connection repairs...actually this topic is more suited to be in amateur science, than in classical physics...

giovanni....i also read in the cited text of a casimir test being purported to show an elevated c in the reduced flux of virtual pairs...and that a similar reduction of said pairs within a region with an electric field would increase c. From this, could it be inferred that c is faster at the event horizon, since the pairs have been naturally separated...leading to a surrounding shell of superluminal light?
