  1. Many thanks contrary one. Yes your assumption on my confusion surrounding phenotype is correct. I should have remebered this having studied, for a brief period, genetics in college many moons ago. FInally!!!At last now I understand the differences. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this. This is the 6th forum I have posted to over last 10 days and 1st reponse I have received. with a great explaination.
  2. Hi Exploring the concept that leadership is genetically governed more so than phenotype influenced and running into the concept of heritability which, and pleased correct me if I'm wrong, asks how much genetics plays a role in the differences of makeup , both genotype & phenotype traits. I'm encountering the phenomena of additive and non-additive heritability and I'm slowing drifting into the abyss trying to understand exactly what these mean. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks in Advance
  3. Thanks Shaken and everyone else for your inputs
  4. Hey Shaken - Have you any details on the WiFI enabled LED's. Cna you control via iPhone App?
  5. Dimmable LED's controllable remotely over WiFI - now that sounds like another project! I like it. Ok so LED's ar ethe way to go here obviously. Thank you all
  6. Thank you all for responses As far as I know dimmable LED's are not available and one of the key features of this project is teh ability to dim the lights as it affects the entire mood of the room. How will the Mica help dissipate the heat?
  7. Hi Really not sure where this post should live so Mod feel free to move if deemed non-applicable here. I am looking for substance, relatively thin in thickness that will prevent / reduce heat conduction been emitted from 35Watt halogen bulbs. I have 8 x 35 watt halogen bulbs mounted approx 12 mm away from 6mm pine wood. The purpose of which is to illuminate the wood - cut out to display countries of the world. The halogen bulbs are controlled by dimmable switches. The problem is that even after a short period of time the boards tend to heat up quite a bit and I'd like to see if there is some material that could be screwed to wood in front of bulb that protects the wood by preventing / reducing the heat transfer. Thanks in Advance for any suggestions
