IMHO it's sad to see these kids. Maybe one of them has a potential to win a Nobel Prize or a Fields Medal. But given such an upbringing, they'll become suicide bombers at worst or hate-filled preachers at best. But that's not surprising in a culture that has it's priorities upside down. EDIT: We got a 72h ceasfire. There shouldn't be any in the first place. Hamas must be fought until it's either destroyed or surrenders unconditionally. EDIT2: The ceasefire is over. Hamas violated it by firing missiles from Gaza. Hope these guys will have their guts bombed out of them.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_rocket_attacks_on_Israel Since 2001 15,047 various projectiles have been fired on Israel by Palestinians, which includes 10,138 rockets and 4,890 mortar shells, resulting in the death of 28 Israelis - roughly 537 projectiles for every death. Indeed a shocking effectiveness. In every war between these two Palestinian casualties exceed Israeli ones by a factor of at least 20, sometimes by a factor of 100 (Operation Cast Lead)

Hamas' rockets are not deadly. They've been firing them since more than decade and the result is maybe 20 dead Israelis. The ongoing war alone killed more than 1000 Palestinians (1300 according to the newest estimates). I seem no reason to keep firing them on Issrael except the fact that missiles used to intercept them are several times costlier than these DIY rockets.

I suggest everyone watch this (from Egyptian TV): And this is how Palestinian children are brainwashed by Hamas on it's Al Aqsa TV: MEMRI is an excellent resource. You can watch it's YT channel. It posts lots of videos from all around the Arab World... makes it easier to comprehend the scope of insanity going there. BTW: That fragment about talking stones from the first video is not an invention of that kid or TV hosts. IT comes from a sahih (authentic) hadith that is recorded several times in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim - two most authoritative collections of stories from Muhammad's life (yeah, you got it right - he said the day of judgement will not come until after Muslims have killed all Jews)

Why is there no forum for (insert field here)?

It would be easier for people to navigate through the huge mess of various threads. -
I don't quite get what you mean. From a moral and historical point of view it is fine to debate whether the extermination of Canaanites was ok or not... but my point was something else - that Deuteronomy 20 cannot be used as a present day imperative against Palestinians in much the same way as an order to the German 6th Army to attack Stalingrad cannot be used by present day German Army to justify anything... not even attacking Stalingrad (which by the way was renamed Volgograd since then).

I would like to see the section about religions divided further into Abrahamic, Dharmic and other religions. -
Meh, It's clear from Deuteronomy 20 that these commands are not general but specific. God is adressing particular people in particular place and time, regarding treatment of specific peoples. No one can use these passages as present day imperatives... and no one does. Uhm, enough(?) of biblical hermeneutics
-
Nope. It is not influencing anything. This is not an open ended passage at all Deuteronomy 20 v.16-17: " However, in the cities of the nations the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes. Completely destroy them—the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites—as the Lord your God has commanded you."" Since there are no Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites alive anymore, these verses do not have any relevance today.

I like the last sentence. So true. There is simply no place for these people in Europe. They should be deported to where they came from so that they can keep slitting each other's throats, beheading each other and blowing each other up. I don't feel too happy seeing people born and raised in Europe, standing in front of severed heads.

Muslims are not my brothers. They destroyed several dozen countries and should not be allowed to destroy anything more. What e.g. ISIS does now is beyond belief - but Arabs have not always been like this. Before Islam they were more pluralistic than at any point ever since. In Mecca alone there were 300 religious artifacts, each belonging to a different tribe (now non Muslims are not even allowed to enter Mecca, making it one of only two cities in the world open to members of only a single religion. The second one is, of course, Medina). Polytheists, Jews, Christians and Zoroastrians lived together, intermarried and converted freely between those religions. Arabs did not even have a concept of religious war or discrimination on the basis of religion. How does it look now? Sunnis hate Shias. Shias hate Sunnis. Both of them hate Christians, Jews and pretty much everyone else. Arabs constantly jump at each other's throat and they are known as a nation of terrorists. A great leap forward, indeed. The same is also true for Pakistan. Pakistanis are descendants of Hindus. In the ancient era these Hindus were at the forefront of civilization and enjoyed religious freedom comparable to the freedom enjoyed by Western people today. Back then Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and atheists (Carvakas) liced in harmony and any religious conflicts tended to be solved by debates rather than swords. There were examples of Indian states abolishing slavery and death penalty completely, almost 2000 years before the Universal Declatation of Human Rights was drafted. But because the future Pakistanis accepted the psychopathic, sadistic deity of Islam, that craves for the blood of those who refuse to submit to it's despotic rule, they became as cruel and primitive as their god. In 2007 Pakistan introduced blasphemy laws under which people are killed for drawing a cartoon of Muhammad or for leaving Islam. IT's fair to say that Muslims are the only people on earth who are culturally and socially de-evolving. My anger is simply unimaginable... hhh... I would do ANYTHING just to make sure that Islamism (=Islam) is crushed absolutely to such a degree thata it will NEVER rise again.

I am 100% sincere. Of course peaceful solution of the world muslim problem would be preferable to a violent one but a violent solution would be preferable to no solution at all. It does not need to be a genocide - most of them are not extremists so once the extremists got destroyed, the moderates will convert... they just need to be given some incentive, for example being taxed heavily. What history teaches us is that it is simply impossible to turn ANY muslim country into a modern European-like secular state - even Turkey which for 80 years was a beacon of secularism is slowly turning into an islamist dictatorship. Islam (no matter whether sunni, shia, ibadi or whatever) is utterly incompatible with the principles of democracy, freedom of speech, religion etc. As long as these societies think that the Quran is a word of God, they will never progress. They are stuck in 7th century Arabia and can't go forward. They must be weaned from their religion first. It may be painfull but it will work. Once they do this, there will no longer be anty Al Qaedas, Taliban, ISIS or anything.

In the end there would be peace.

What freedom to travel? They can travel abroad, just not to Israel. About medical care, I can't comment on it's state. Look at the whole mess from a different point of view - since the time of the Oslo accords US, EU and various Arab oil sheikhdoms poured billions upon billions of dollars into Gaza. The amount of money was so large that if used properly it would allow Gaza to be the Hong Kong of the Middle East. But instead, Palestinian "activists" filled their bank accounts and used the rest to finance jihad against the Zionist Entity. Why?

What basic human rights were they denied? So far Gaza & West Bank have 8th highest obesity rate in the world... THE WORLD. What a despicable oppression they must suffer that they started gaining weight because of it <rolls on the ground laughing>.

I have a solution... The first part of it would be establishing an Arab Christian state made of Lebanon, Syrian Tartus and Latakia provinces as well as Turkish Hatay province. That would be a good starting point in our struggle to return Greater Middle East to the fold of Western Civilization. We may also arm Egyptian Copts (~10 mln people) to teeth with cutting edge weaponry and make them overthrow the government. If I ruled Europe, I would do this. in Syria 17th division was overran, reports of extremely heavy casualties on the government side. Captured weapons include - 1500 pistols - 3000 assault rifles - 200 tanks (I'm highly suspicious of this) - 100 cannons of various callibres - 30 mortars - Large number (hundreds?) of MANPADs (portable anti aircraft missile launchers) - Large number of grenade launchers and other heavy weapons - lots of ammo Reports that about 1500 ISIS fighters are taking part in the transport of captured weaponry, lots of civilians also broke into the remnants of the base. http://justpaste.it/gdmv - photos from the base (EXTREMELY GRAPHIC!!!)

I will not comment on the nature of the remarks in my previous post. I will leave it up to other posters to figure out what I meant. No mutual agreement can be reached in this conflict. In 2005 Israel withdrew all troops and settlers from GAza Strip - and what happened? Nothing good, they only got more missiles fired by Hamas. The blockade of Gaza was implemented in 2007 as a response to terrorist attacks on Israeli soil. Palestinians can still travel abroad, just not to Israel. Also, in total about 2 million Palestinians live either in West Bank or in Israel proper and they are in no hurry to leave that place. People vote with their feet so if they were really as oppressed as they claim, we would see waves upon waves of Arabs leaving for Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan or whatever just to not live in Israel - which is not happening. The only Palestinians living in the neighbooring countries are descendants of refugees from late 1940s, not recent migrants. If Israel can't undertake steps to shift the demographic structure of Gaza, they should give it to Egypt. People of Gaza are Egyptians (the so called "Palestinian nation" is an invention of Soviet secret services, created for political purposes during the cold wawr) so if they are annexed by Egypt, they will no longer have an argument of being oppressed by the evil Zionist Entity. Moreover, every missile fired on Israel would be treated as a declaration of war so the Egyptian authorities would be under heavy pressure to end this sh1t.

I don't care how many Sunnis, Shias or Alawis are killed... Even if they all get killed, I will not give a damn. Christians are closer to my civilization and hence closer to me even though I am myself an atheist. Arab Christians have historically been the most progressive group in the Arab world - the leading theoreticians of the 20th century Arab secularism were Christians, they have also been the most prosperous Arab group. In the 1950s, before being robbed of their wealth by Nasser, Copts produced 50% of Egyptian GDP while constituting 15% of the population. And there are no Christian militias that stone adulterers, execute apostates and force women to cover themselves with bedsheets - which distinguishes them from their Muslim compatriots. It's heartbreaking that these beautiful people face such a sad fate... They are crying for help but nobody wants to listen - oil from Islamist sheikhs is more important geopolitics-wise.

There are reports of 75 Assad soldiers captured and beheaded by ISIS in a village north of 17th division base, not confirmed yet. I'm fearing for Syrian Christians... What to do when facing such an onslaught of pure savagery?
-
West Bank is slowly beginning to boil again. The Jewish State must abide by one rule - no concessions at all, no matter what and not a single step back. Only through force can this war be won. The more I observe this conflict, the more convinced I become of the necessity of implementing corrective measures in order to alter demographic structure of the State of Israel in favor of the Jewish Nation. During the implementation of the aforementioned measures all legal and moral obligations vis a vis the Palestinian population should be suspended.

I would like to know how much climate influences agricultural output - as we know, places with temperate climate (such as my country - Poland) have a growing season lasting roughly from April to October but places located in the tropics or the equator have a year-round growing season. How much does it influence the productivity of agriculture and, hence, population density?

ISIS began their assault on 17th Division base near Ar Raqqa which has been besieged by other rebels for more than a year. 17th Division is the last regime stronghold in the province.

Let's say we don't mind them, even if it means that a large part (even as much as 10-15%) of the population is born with crippling genetic defects.
