  1. As you wish. I have added your email contacts to my "Ignore" list..do as you want, I have no time left for "forums" of anykind.
  2. Really? A spoiled child. Well..we certainly don't need that. Tell you what..let the powers that be simply delete my account here. Won't that be MUCH easier? Stomping? Is that what you brits term being "called" on something? My credentials are easily available in the min. of the Royal Society, the rolls of the AGU, and the UCS. But..why should this board be forced to tolerate a "spoiled child." So long..I just do not have the time.
  3. Really?? Pray tell me then, where did you recieve your degree(s)? I really, really do not have time for this type of exchange. I am far too busy writing the type of books that people like you most likely refer to. Do me a favor? Do not bother responding..I just don't care that much about what you think you know and what you don't, ok? Life is far to breif to entertain pointless exchanges with lesser minds. "Back off?" Give me a break. If you feel you cannot engage in a civil debate, why should I bother to waste this forums, and what is infinately more valuable, MY time? Have fun with your digs... and grow up.
  4. So that's isotopic dating huh? Where did you read that? It has absolutely NOTHING to do with dating whatsoever. This is the old "Creationists" arhument that fell apart in the 1960's. Now to see it here?
  5. Good question. About 120,000 of my own dough, and the McAurthur Foundation scholarship, 3rd place in the Seimens, and about a dozen or so other smaller scholarships. Total is around: 270,000 +/-

Actually this is a Greek thing. The Puritans used to have a practice they referred to as "Swimming a witch." Any person (ussually a young, unmarried and attractive woman) would be tied and dragged across a pond. If she was still alive, that proved that she was a "witch" as apparentlly they can breathe underwater. If they drowned..oh well, at least they knew.
  7. Read Einstien. It all depends-- ALL--on the observer.

Well, if we do the genetic math, accounting for one new baby pleisiasour every year, and one death (so to maintain a steady population), the beginning stock of at least 24 adults to maintain genetic congruity. Besides, they slept on land to avoing Liopluodon. So if we found one dead on land... It looks a lot like the cargas of either a basking shark or a Northern Right Wale to me.

You wanna really keep demons away. Spit on those you love. That's right. It keeps the devil away. Apparently, old "bi-fircated tail" is alergic to human saliva!
  10. 43, polymath, goof off. Bill
  11. Get a copy of "Just Smoke and Mirrors" that should take care of any questions you have.
  12. Babies can swallow WHILE they breathe. For a real explanation of this, look into the Aquatic Ape Theory by Alistar Hardy; and Borcca's Brain by Carl Sagan. Bill
  13. They are, for the most part. And is it easy to see where, when and why that changed. I have already had two publishers "nibble" so I don't think selling the ms will be an issue. I just don't want to rush it out. This will be a big deal..IF it is done right.
  14. I did. Second year of Cog Pscych. Anywho, the volition of education for it's own sake helps explain why I am still a student. Now if only my wife would buy that..........
  15. Obtain a copy of "The Art of War" (Sun Tzu) and "The Prince" (Niccolo Machiavelli). If there is not 15 pages of INTRO on war to be gleaned from this...then I can't help you other than to recomend you to ask your folks to please remove you from public school ASAP. Good luck; Bill
  16. Some will be against the war for political reasons, the opposit is also true; Some will be against war on moral grounds, this is true on BOTH sides; Some will be against bloodshed for various reasons. The final eq. is simply this: for whatever reasons, will the world be a better place with or without Saddam in charge of Iraq? This is the one question no one seems to want to ask..or answer.
  17. Is that not education does? This would go far in explaining why so many HS grads are "not really that smart." Bill
  18. Yes, it is Michio Kaku. However, his friends and associates have always called him "Mike" which he seems to prefer. Bill
  19. Which I never did get around to..Now there's an idea. Any aspiring authors out there want to assist in an update of a book? Co author is not a bad place to start. Bill HERETICS? They should also be "MIRACLES" and "Just Smoke and Mirrors" available as well. Hmmm. Bill
  20. I sleep like that...trouble is..getting the right side to wake up............................where was I. Oh yea..my favorite food has got to be Macaroni and cheese......I have a new car, it's red....................so, anyway, yea..Dolphin's are cool. Did you know that human brains share more traits with Dolphins than with Chimps? Weird eh?...............is there any more of that pie?
  21. THE LOST GENERATION was a title very carefully selected. There are currently 12 books with the title "Losing Faith" but my book "Losing Faith" outsells them all (currentlly anyway). A public school is one where parents can dump their kids which is run by the government. The book will compare public, private, home school education, examples of why or why not they FAIL, and will have stories from past and current teachers on what has gone wrong over the past 50 years to a slide into "2 + 2 = 5" where the answer is not important..the "creativeness is!" BS that is graduating kids with HS diplomas who cannot read or write. Bill
  22. But could you expand on that a bit? Bill
  23. As I begin writing this next book, I am looking for stories about how public education is letting down students. I am seeking examples, anectodtes, stories, etc. At the same time, I am also hoping to find some positive stories from schools, private, public, homeschools, whatever. If you believe that your time is wasted in school..now is the time to say so. All names will be kept 100% confidential. Please e mail your acounts to: drwdavis@prexar.com subject heading: "Book" Thanks Bill

From "Just Smoke and Mirors", chapter 6 (Aliens and Monsters) "Supposedly, despite the asteroid impact that killed every other large creature on earth, one managed to stay alive in the lake for the intervening seventy million years without evolving. This cannot be taken seriously for several reasons. First, the lake has been shown to be comparatively devoid of large fish. The depth and cold temperature of the lake produces inadequate oxygen to generate and sustain a large or diverse food chain. Simply put, there is not enough food to feed a creature this size. Secondly, a breeding population would have had to exist for tens of millions of years in the relatively small lake. Critics claim that the lake somehow opens to the sea. However, why would a creature travel to a warmer ocean to feed, and then return home to a dark, cold lake? Thirdly, Plesiosaurs were air breathers. They slept and rested on land (mostly to keep from being eaten by bigger beasts). So, why have there been no photographs of a sleeping monster? Finally, if humanity evolved from small upright bipedal hominids to a space faring organisms in just under two million years, why has there been no change in the Plesiosaurs in Lock Ness for seventy million? It would be great to actually find that some how one of the great marine reptiles had somehow survived the mass extinctions of the past seventy million years." and: "The year was 1981. Real science was journeying into space; it had put a man on the surface of the moon over a decade before, and now pseudoscience was searching for dinosaurs in Africa. As is often the case with pseudoscience, they found what they had sought. As the group made its way along the Likouala River, they heard a large animal leaping into the water. Near where they believed the noise had occurred, they found a path of broken branches, as well as a number of footprints. Like those who seek the Yeti or the American Bigfoot/Canadian Sasquatch, these mere stories, rumors and anecdotal accounts, when combined with mysterious footprints are their “proof.” It is also their stock and trade. Fear, often-unexplainable fear, with the sweating palms, and reddening eyes can perhaps best be explained as fear of the unknown." Bill
  25. EXACTLLY. Subjective based on Bias. Now, I would vote yes for the same reason my mechanic keeps a spare 1998 Jag in his shop. The hood is crushed, and the frame is bent. BUT..great source of spare parts. Bill
