  1. It isn't supported by two references I have just read. http://en.islamtoday.net/node/667 Says the Quran does not say the Earth is egg shaped, but that it is laid out. (Sculptured?)
  2. Scientific knowledge changes with time. So the evidence against the books works today but will that evidence too be lacking in 2,000 years time? Do the Muslims accept that the Earth is a globe rather than flat? Hopefully if they rewrite the Koran they get that bit correct, and when the Christians rewrite Genesis they put in evolution.
  3. Was that sarcastic? I still can't get the sarcasm. Any non-Christian text that mentions the resurrection would be more than likely labeled "Christian" by others. I believe the Gospel according to Luke is a non-Christian document written for the benefit of the Jewish High Priest. Just because it has been grouped into the Bible doesn't mean it is "Christian" does it? All the OT books are non-Christian, being written for the Hebrews or the Jews.
  4. Independent from what? I refer myself as a "Christian", but in another age and time I might have been burned at the stake for being a heretic. OK I say the resurrection is what made Jesus different than the other Jewish Messiahs, and you disagreed and went and made the situation all theological, things that would not be apparent to the people on the ground at the time Judea in the days Pontius Pilate. I don't have a complex definable theology. I just made Jesus my Lord. Right, that's done and the next step was "Jesus I am now your servant, use me." I don't get involved with arguments about theology. I am just a simple person, earning a living.
  5. It was only after that it was pointed it out that "care" and "wonder" don't quite match that I realised it possibly wasn't the best choice of words, but inwardly I still believe in the case of Jesus to wonder and care are synonymous. But moving on, to your next confusion, there may well be a million, maybe much more, that are interested in the new document one of you is going to reveal to the world. I never said there was going to be 4 billion interested persons. The 4 billion just represent those that might show some passing interest in Jesus over their lifetime. http://www.scienceforums.net/topic/86514-non-christian-documents-about-the-existence-of-jesus-christ/#entry837512 But those that might be interested in new texts is a much smaller number, but I myself would be the most interested. http://www.scienceforums.net/topic/86514-non-christian-documents-about-the-existence-of-jesus-christ/#entry837366 It was the resurrection of Jesus that made him special.
  6. 4 billion is the number who care and or wonder about Jesus generally, but I as an individual am interested in all sources of knowledge about my Lord Jesus. I have made him my Lord which is like making him my Leader. So the Jesus I'm now interested in is the one who became the leader of the Christians. I admit I use words at times to their extreme, but that is not wrong in itself but the way language develops. Language is an evolving concept.
  7. That person would be me. Show me your evidence of this account please. When we talk about Jesus we are talking about one specific person regardless of his name. For others will tell us his name wasn't Jesus but something else. Care is synonymous with ideas like wonder. "Speculate about" and "circumspection" are virtual similar.
  8. I'd have to change that figure upwards now due to population growth over night. Who in their lifetime would not have wondered if Jesus was a real person?
  9. About 4 billion people alive today.
  10. It will be more of a miracle if it stays there without being able to be tethered to the comet! Has it been able to anchor itself? Is it only gravitational forces holding them together?
  11. if it was not going to happen can you say "for instance'"? I believe there could be other prophets after Muhammad, so I find Islam rather threatening. What would happen to someone who declared themselves a prophet today?
  12. Does Islam allow for other prophets (other than Muhammad) to come today?

  14. Are you talking living systems or in vitro experiments?
  15. You've done a great job here. It reads like English isn't your native language but it is still understandable and seems like its been a long project to tie it all together. Thanks
  16. You are OK. You are patient. I was just at a loss has how to make you see my point.
  17. I can't imagine how I'm going to teach you anything. You are one of the most stubborn persons I've ever known.
  18. eight? Neptune is 30 AU from the Sun and if HL Tauri is 3 times wider that is a radius of 90 AU. Well that is better than the 2,000 mentioned in Wikipedia. Or did I misunderstand what Wikipedia meant? HL Tauri Star is smaller (less massive?) where did you get that information? A less massive star would allow the planets to orbit at a greater distance. This could be a problem though for the mass is going to be spread over a much larger volume before accretion, but then there could more of it and less blown away. So there are plenty of variables. If it was too scattered you might not get any planets. Thanks for answering my question. I've written to ALMA Observatory asking for an answer as well.
  19. YT has some interesting stories on angels. It is when they interact with people you know or even yourself then you don't feel so sure that it is all hypothetical. I used to tell stories but they would cause too much protest, so I'm reluctant to divulge too much here, I not sure of the tolerance given here on this forum. Cute angels are my favorite! You've got to look at the issue from both sides and from all the angles.
  20. Not just thoughts, but deeds. How does one get away from a past like that? I bent my knee and humbled myself in front of the Lord and asked for forgiveness for my many sins too sick to repeat. It worked.
  21. I'm not sure if they have set roles like that. There have been reports of angels throughout history, and even some fairly recent ones. OK they are still rare and not easily studied. I'll have to see what is on YouTube, see if anyone has captured an angel on video?
  22. Well what about the law as given by angels then?
  23. But did MigL know about this? A wild guess could sometimes be right. That article is way beyond me at this stage. But thanks for enlightening me.
  24. Looking up about HL Tau in Wikipedia as a start: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HL_Tauri So it has a similar mass to our solar system and has a radius of 2,000 AU That seems rather large considering Pluto is 39.5 AU. I don't know if the photo covers those dimensions or not; probably not or else the protostar would still be 50 AU across.
  25. Do we have any idea of the scale?
