Man-made evolution?
Robittybob1 replied to TransformerRobot's topic in Evolution, Morphology and Exobiology
That would be a wild guess wouldn't it? -
Why does God punish the innocent and innocuous?

That would be suffering to the extreme. -
Man-made evolution?

I think this is right, you have set up this amazing scenario, just tell us a few of the original organisms survive in some pocket of gas similar to the original conditions, then you have the chance to survive and gradually evolve. But if the change was from 400 degrees straight down to 25 degrees it is likely nothing would survive such a dramatic change. The rotation of the planet would have little effect but the heating of an impact could sterilize the surface. -

Only if they can survive the sudden change in the environment. -

You look at the way the Universe develops, we are made from 3rd generation stars. There is no room for pity in the natural scheme of things. Nature is cruel and uncaring. -
I have now been told I was using an incorrect formula I started with Force = m*V^2/r and then introduced velocity as the circumference/period =2*Pi*r/T but when I squared that I didn't square the bottom line as well. (2*Pi*r/T)^2 = 4*pi^2*r^2/T^2 Using that for V^2 Force = m*4*pi^2*r^2/(T^2*r) the r top and bottom cancel. Force = m*4*pi^2*r/(T^2) So I think I need to divide the answer by the period for I was using T rather than T^2 Thanks for correcting me.

That is a bit different isn't it. I know the first person to be punished will be the blind person for his money has disappeared and he can't explain it fully but he will say "Christ I think I handed over a 1000 dollars by mistake!" Only the conscience of the person who handled the money will know whether that was a sin or not. There was a time I'd take the money too, but not now, I make sure of that as I want a pure conscience.

It is the same for any entrepreneur if they can see a fortune to be made from a certain property they don't have to advise the current owner. No they just give the owner a good fair price and reap the reward for themselves.

Thanks Could the force be in the order of 18975.9594 Kgs? That seems a way higher than I had expected. 19 tonnes down and 19 tons up 17 times a second, something will break before the hour is up!

How do you even begin to write formulas like that? "[math]\displaystyle {v = \frac{2 \pi r}{T}}[/math]"

So they should report the find to the Police, so they can steal it instead? I had already given a reason why it wasn't theft. The owner selling the field isn't the owner of the jewels either.
-
Then you add into that an expression of the tangential speed v = 2*Pi()*r/T, T being the period. (edited)

Every time I try and find out how to calculate centrifugal force they kept telling me it is a fictitious force.
-
Still applies today, Jesus the same yesterday and today. When I went religious I tried to give everything away, no one wanted it!

Obvious the seller is not aware the treasure is in the field, for if he had hidden it himself he wouldn't be wanting to sell the property.

It might make a good paint shaker except for its frequency.

Are you from a Scottish background?

That is why I was thinking for the masses talked of the motor, bearings, shafts and the like would have to be heavy duty.

OK I was a bit lost but you sort of recovered it thanks. I was thinking of curves, especially something moving in a circle, I was thinking you can't say it changes instantaneously. Forgive me if I'm a bit confused regarding what was meant by curvilinear motion. Any motion when looked at the limit might be in the form of "infinitesimally small instant changes". Was there a difference if the motion was rectilinear or curvilinear?

Was that last sentence the answer to my question? ( I was wanting to know if a photon or other radiation that when moving at/near the speed of light can interact with a particle that must in all intents be stationary (moving slowly) as implied in the concept of shock-wave.) A photon has momentum and can that momentum be transferred in an interaction? Would that interaction be instantaneous? I didn't know what the last sentence means, but it does it have something to do with the definition of Pi, a number which never comes to an end, so the transition in curvilinear motion is impossible to define too isn't it? The curve (at the limit) is so gentle that it too probably can't be called instantaneous either.
-
When a high energy ray interacts with a molecule would that be a instantaneous change? (as in a shock-wave initiating a nebula collapse.)
-
Where is the energy going to come from? I drove out in front of a thousand tonne train doing 100 km/hr and my car changed acceleration and velocity "abruptly". Define abruptly? Do you mean instantly? Or even "in no time at all"?

I thought the whole purpose was to create an out of balance situation to make vibration. Would you still get vibration if it was well balanced?
-
Maybe that was the reason it is like that. Jesus has been quoted saying words to that effect. OK it worries me a bit was it not his intentions not to "save " everyone. What did he have against historians?

"how can one truly decide which is the real one?" It is a good question, and I have been of the view we will know which one was true when we get to see the signs and wonders. But it was a little slow on that front too, but I do have a few stories that I share. In the end I'm convinced.
