That was roughly what I was thinking. The wobble is from the perspective of the original center point. Is there another COM around which it rotates?

But why think that those thoughts would create a new dimension?

If it was a chunk from the perimeter the disc would then become unbalanced. I don't know the physics of the situation after that.

Sounds a bit like a multiverse that shares the same space.

These issues will seem trivial unless modern society solve global warming and the population explosion. Resources are running out and there seems to be no real solution.

Even if you think it was always here, it hasn't always been in the same place, so did the matter of the Universe at some stage go through a Big Bang type event?

In your concept then is matter in a limited part of infinite space? By that I'm asking whether you feel that all the matter of the Universe started off in a place and expanded out from there? Like the Big Bang theory.

So do you agree or disagree that the galaxies around us are moving apart? Whether or not they are moving through space or space itself is expanding, but are the physical distances increasing causing a redshift effect?

Maybe the Christians can practice abstinence, but the others should use condoms.

There are some extreme examples in the OT. Take Solomon for example, we are told he had 300 wives and 700 concubines. Now that seems rather promiscuous IMO yet it didn't count against him. It is taking responsibility for your actions that seems to be the message that I got from reading the OT.

If our region is expanding, why would it expand, if the Universe was already infinite?

That is exactly what I try to do as a Christian.

This conversation reminds me of the questions posed to Jesus at his trial. Pilate: Are you a king then? Jesus: "My kingdom is not of this World" So even Jesus admits to a type of "this world" irrelevance, that is unless you want to be part of his "other world" kingdom. Honestly I don't know what he means by "not of this World".

I would love to see the results of such a study. It would be interesting to throw away the Old Testament, at least in parts. The situations you quote seem rather poetical so I wouldn't propose they relate to any scientific reality.
