Yes, true if a more rigorous treatment like this is done on anyone's post it can spread the spectrum of scrutiny. Perhaps a numeric score is avoided and even if the color codes are shown to public the meanings can only be exchanged between the assessor and assessed thru PM and will be only between them. At present it may not replace the current numeric rep system [the suggestions for improvement of that is a separate matter] but can be a parallel process. If a Poster wants his post rated by an assessor so as to get a third party view on it he can ask for it and get enriched by the response. Any member may ask any other member / friend to assess his post. Also a moderator or Admin can assess and convey his rating to the poster [part of the structured warning / merit system]. Maybe to start with the suggested format can be used and tried out.

Yes, it is not a one click method and not for anyone to become an assessor. It is for one dedicated assessor to assess designated posts and display color coded outputs which can be made public or retained in secret !

I am sorry you are picking on me for nothing. When did I say that Name/Id means any verbal meaning ? I assert about my ideas and minimize words [that is my style] and you are peeved about it. I am so hesitant to say anything at all ever since I felt my days may end [on 6 May 15 post which did not get any reply] yet you need to say I keep posting continuously. After getting over all the hurts and slaps I motivate myself to post a provocative but intricate post and get immediately 3 slaps. I retract as if I had stepped on a snake and has no option but strike back and then I find the post / clicks etc have been modified, yet I see you asserting here that Mods can do nothing about it. I take your words for it but my tally of neg clicks remained same but the post which gave me -3 vanished. I had always thought of you as a very good and reasonable moderator who picked on me the least but you have not reciprocated my trust and this mistrust is affecting our interaction. How many positive clicks have I given you ? I have no intention of criticizing the system here but will air my views when I am victimized. I have been having ideas about Rating System for years and always called it by the same name and just revealed it never commanding or demanding anything yet you are showing only indignation ! One can argue until cows come home but that is not the intention. I have a fair idea who are the members who might be enjoying giving me negative clicks but I don't want to guess and retaliate. That can not be the silly intention of this site. Yes, I am bold to reply whether I did give a neg click or not but won't bother to do so because the moderators and admin know it all anyway. I agree with my good friend EdEarl that getting a neg click is like getting a slap and unfortunately there are many who enjoy doing this anonymously. I am sure he and my other good friends like imatfaal, studiot and perhaps ajb too can never give me neg click being sensitive to my feelings. I too never will give a neg click to anyone whom I consider a friend or who I know has given me more positive clicks than neg irrespective of the merit of the post [love your neighbor as you love thyself - and never think too high of yourself and get into judging]. To cut the long story short I just don't enjoy getting whimsical and motivated neg clicks and do not believe in casting my pearls nilly willy ! Moderators know who did what click and can inform the friendly members and experts too and a mafia can work against any member who will be crucified whether Copernicus or Jesus !

Better stuff is a matter of opinion and judge not that you will be judged. We aim to provide all individuals, regardless of their education level, a forum to express their ideas and love of science. is what is guaranteed by this site and no one should give neg clicks in disagreement or hatred. I think only Cowards give motivated negative Clicks on Posts without any rhyme or reason ! To avoid this bad trend those who give negative Clicks must be shown with the reason behind it. Then it will be a fair game and at least one can make out who is a friend or an enemy ! For the same reason I have reset my friends list and will wait for anyone to add me as a friend as against my adding friends which I did earlier ! Also, I do remember those who had not accepted my invite earlier and those who had removed themselves from the list. I don't believe in forcing anyone. Perhaps I might still have some courageous friends standing up for me !

In any case, MAN has not developed enough Intelligence to avoid War and Destruction over Selfishness, Greed , Religion, Race and other Divisions !

We are perhaps on the middle of the Ladder of Intelligence among Life Forms of this Universe ! Just like an earthworm may feel that it knows and feels everything that is there to be known or felt [which is obviously wrong] every Life Form will use all its Perception to derive all its Conclusions ! Given the enormity of the Universe inaccessible to MANKIND certainly there will be Life Forms more intelligent with more Powers of Perception , Physical Power and Tolerance to Environments such as Temperature etc ! Another interesting aspect is if Man detects another life form elsewhere it is likely to be less intelligent than Man ! If there is another life form elsewhere which is more intelligent than Man then that will detect Man first !
