Explaining the concepts of time travel; Theory
Mr. Astrophysicist replied to Mr. Astrophysicist's topic in Speculations
Haha, xD I'm not that old, I'm 13. A 'gifted' genius in physics as my peers, teachers and family say. The picture is a fine biography of Stephen Hawking; one of the persons that inspired me to pursue mathematics, astronomy, astrophysics, and physics. -

How the hell...? It was actually a very accurate guess. Yes, I am! I thought people would go for more due to my 'gift' or genius intellect they keep on saying xD -
I need help! How to solve this ...?
Mr. Astrophysicist replied to Science girl313's topic in Homework Help
This is simple. A little equation formulas, mathematics, and chemistry. Here. This will help. I won't soil the unfairness of solving it for you, but here. -
Parallel Universes Theory
Mr. Astrophysicist replied to GST1441's topic in Modern and Theoretical Physics
While I hate to argue, and not actually taking this as a heat of flame-war, but, some have different theories. Such as is a universe a sphere? And what is it's shape? But I don't think much of the tree theory it's your opinion. But I agree with GST, we work in the same field together to help resolve astrophysics issues and disprove theories as we did to Stephen Hawking's theory of parallel universes. -
While some say that pi goes on and is infinite, much like e (Euler's Number), but not square root of 2, and other mathematical sums as it may stop, are they similar to infinity? I know that infinity cannot be counted or regarded as a number, but what if we regard infinity as or equivalent to 9999999999999999999999999999999.... So on, and so forth. Or for you brilliant mathematicians prefer to this formula: ∞ = 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999... So what do you think? Guys, what are you opinions of infinity and mathematical constants? Are they equivalent to quantities, as they both go on? (Hard eh?)

Please relax, they were all theories. Theories weren't actually proven until farther advancements in science, but their principles were tested and determined correct by experimental physicists, so we cannot further confirm or fathom the theories until into the future. Stated by Strange, you should relax, you're possibly a young and imaginative yet rebellious to prove his/her theories.

The laws of physics and reality puts a damper on these sort of things. While chances of this might be absolutely possible, though some say, no, many say that all of these are hoax, I am strongly against it. But it is up to others' belief, but it would be really cool if it were a reality. In any other case, further investigations and data must be achieved and carried out to determine such mysteries and possibilities. I did some mathematical calculations, such theories and cases of these come to 17.98256788999 chance in percentage of actually being true, or it not being a hoax. Continuing on these infinite possibilities of the "Lochness Monster", one theory suggested an illusion or some corrupt data or editing within the camera, but one interesting theory is our hallucination. Going on, this are all boring statements. We all have each our individual theory, and we cannot advance further with our technology, and to collect data would have further advancement in the further future, and to carry out investigations would be extremely difficult under normal circumstances. We'll have to wait and see. Cryptozoology; "The study of hidden animals"; Other life forms, and SETI, searching for them is very unlikely. Our signals to at least attempt to communicate with others is impossible, as signals are extremely weak, and their technology might just be worse than ours. But to communicate with such life forms may not end well for us, it is high chance, as they consider our hostility a threat, and so might we, resulting to a never ending war between planets, and its nations on earth and the other planet to try and resolve and work together to solve the issue. Cryptozoology, like big foot, lochness monster, etc. may not end well for us as well, but it is very unlikely for this things to happen to us. More mathematic calculations, I've calculated to a certain extent of which, it would at least take a few hundred years for a advanced enough technology to experiment, and find the hidden animals or other life forms. And their technology or its relevant theory of animals taking over our world as domination cannot be, as our world doesn't have that logic. We shouldn't sweat it, and our chances of coming across such life forms or cryptozoology creatures are around 0.0000000000000000567%/percent, a lot more to then your death about being struck by a lightning or being murdered by someone. You shouldn't worry about these. Worry about our current world issues and try to resolve them, our perhaps maintain stress about your death, and more. You should ask harder questions, dude.

Explaining the concepts of time travel; Theory
Mr. Astrophysicist replied to Mr. Astrophysicist's topic in Speculations
I highly doubt it. Infinity and all its theories doesn't apply to the speed of light, unless you're talking about its particles scattering and could be infinite as we go on, it doesn't really apply to its object's mass. It's mass would be zero/0, or just completely massless, as only massless particles could travel at the speed of light. While we're on this awesome intellectual topic, how old do you think I am? Based on my grammar, maturity, and knowledge. -
This could go beyond space and time itself, but everything is acting out on a flip book, and if a subtle being were to tear out a piece of a frame from the frame of which that already happened, the past would possibly corrupt. Thought this theory is quite rather similar and seems unlikely, it is a possibility and may not actually be proven until, as stated, further advancements in science.

Explaining the concepts of time travel; Theory
Mr. Astrophysicist replied to Mr. Astrophysicist's topic in Speculations
Good point. The theory is disproven, but as to how we travel to the speed of light is quite possible, though some say it is impossible, and Einstein's limits should be followed. But what do you think of that. As notice that light gets scattered as it travels further. Would our atoms, particles and molecules scatter if we do so? I think so, and we need to reduce it somehow for us to gain that possibility. Thoughts? -
How do you prevent eddy currents in a transformer?
Mr. Astrophysicist replied to Mr. Astrophysicist's topic in Engineering
Answer: Laminate the core material; it could not be much more simpler. -
Before arguing that it's possibly the most intellectual theory, and I should shut up or shut it, then just hear me out. Parallel universes are thought as infinite, and as it could go on forever and beyond space and time are other universes that perhaps defies the laws of physics and logic cannot be. Pigs shall fly in one universe, so on and so forth. But what are universes in? Are there a spheric figure or cubic shape that stands on time and space itself? Universes are actually thought to be infinite and is creating several stars and is expanding, and is actually incalculable of its diameters and shape due to our current technology, but if there were universes and they being spheres or other shapes, they would expand into each other, thus this coming to an end of earth and our lives, other theories suggest the big crunch, big freeze, so on, to our beliefs. One of my theories is the Speed Light Frame Theory; where our universe suddenly come to a stop. But I have a religion, so I would disregard that possibility. If you would like to read it, here: http://www.scienceforums.net/topic/87848-light-speed-frame-theory/ I will come to explain more of this on a later episode, but as of right now, I'm disproving Stephen Hawking's theory. Universe on a standstill of space and time, will have expand and collide into each other, and we have no evidence of us colliding into one, we cannot accept this theory, furthermore, and one thing I cannot fathom and could conclude to a infinite paradox; There would be a universe that would explode in order to destroy or destruct our universe, but there would be another universe that wouldn't allow that to happen thus, protecting our universe some how. However, there would be another universe that would destroy that, so on and so forth. This what I call the Universe Destruction Error Paradox (or UDEP) is what I'd like to call. But our universe should be actually destroyed by now, so this theory cannot be. While some say it might continue on and it being impossible for us to be destroyed, another universe would be there, and it might be true. But what if there was a universe faster than anything? Even than light. Our universe could just be wiped off the moment. It's impossible for this theory to be. Unlike other paradoxes, this could not be simpler. What do you think? *Psst, how old do you think I am?*

But what if beyond the human eye, the frames would be on a standstill, as we are actually acting on out on a flip book on a canvas, beyond the furthest reach of our cosmos, and it may just actually stop; coming to an end of our universe? Possibilities of this theory is actually endless.

Explaining the concepts of time travel; Theory
Mr. Astrophysicist replied to Mr. Astrophysicist's topic in Speculations
Thanks for the information; But I already know that isn't actually time travel, I'm just stating the theories of light speed by some of our brilliant minds of our time. -
Those 'frames' are somewhat like/similar to those of a flip book.

Introduction Are we already travelling at the speed of light; But in frames? For instance, as I move my hand or perhaps walk towards a friend of mine, the future, perhaps me already there with my friend, is actually a frame of reality. Picture this, a flip book, and as you flip through it extremely quickly, but you stop suddenly; and then flip to the end of the book, you would see a future frame; and that is what this theory is about. You can travel at the speed of light but the frames could go haywire and burn out. But perhaps, we already are; this theory has possibly infinite frames, as we are going throughout our lives. For instance, if you're sitting on a chair, there are infinite amount of frames; you can move your arm to the right, or move it to the left; could these frames just mean we're acting a flip book on the largest canvas of the universe; travelling beyond the speed of light, faster, perhaps slower as time follows. Travelling at C/Speed of Light If we were to travel at the speed of light for an instance, the flip book acting out on a perhaps a cartoon or a book on the largest canvas of space and time or its fabrics, would have to flip all the way to the speed of light. Some of my possible theories is that if we do so, our particles will scatter as light does so as it travels further. So doing so would burn out the frames and you could possibly die. One of the principles of physics may deny this theory of mine, but it is a theory and could be disproven. But one of frame principles is; though we are 3D, and we acting out on a flip book is unlikely, think about it as 3D figurines on a flip book or animation; are we programmed and animated in a computer or on a painting of the canvas in the furthest reach of our cosmos? Some in the comments disregard this theory saying that it is unlikely as we cannot change the past. But what if someone, or a being were to tear the frame of you being born? Frames would be recreated, and you will no longer exist. But another end to our universe is a being may tear of the birth of the universe. (Big Bang Theory, etc.) Once again, a theory. I would call this end: The Frame Singularity. The Death of The Universe As stated, if a almighty being such as god were to for instance, tear out the frame of the birth of our universe, everything would cease and we would stop existing, so will the universe and the stars, our cosmos particles would all vanish and disappear. But would a frame be recreated? Who knows? Anyways, 'The Frame Singularity' has some flaws, in this logic; (Who is this mighty being, etc.) One has to has its belief. It maybe god, or another life form or human watching this flip book or animation, beyond space and time. While some say the Big Crunch, Big Freeze, etc. might be relevant, let me explain further. What would happen if someone rip the birth of the universe frame out? The Frame Singularity would take place, particles will scatter into infinite abyss and disappear, cells will slowly fade, time and space will stop, and you will too as you disappear into complete oblivion. As a new frame would start, depending on this someone, or the programming of the flip book of this cosmetic canvas. A birth of a new universe will begin. This is a complete possibility, but as to others opinion, is not. I have my own religious beliefs, so I would disregard this theory. But it is completely not impossible. Everything is possible.

Parallel Universes Theory
Mr. Astrophysicist replied to GST1441's topic in Modern and Theoretical Physics
Sorry for the intrusion, but if there was a universe where physics laws are different, how would you explain this? All theories would be defied, and blackholes, wormholes, and other stars and its particles would all go haywire. I guess a world like so would also allow pigs to fly and cows in space. What do you think? This may be thought of as a paradox as well, because there may be another universe that defies it; as it goes on and so forth, universes are infinite and it defies the other. The theory may not be proven until further advancements of science and engineering takes place as the future carries on. -
How do you prevent eddy currents in a transformer? (I know the answer, just testing you guys).

Introduction As we watch various science fiction shows, sitcoms, and as I could name on to infinite possible activities as stated, you've all heard the famous theory of time, or perhaps has been mentioned at least once in our lives: Time travel. Now, time travel is not as sophisticated as it looks or perhaps sound. Actually, it is pretty simple. While to some, traveling through time, or perhaps back to the past or into the future, is somewhat filled with paradoxes and might just knock you out, is very easy to get past and explain this. Speed of Light While some argue that travelling at the speed of light is an important essence to traveling through time, and others claim that its not even possible, not to be judging beliefs, but it is quite possible, given a limit of travelling back to the past, but traveling into the future is possible. If we could master a possibility to travel at the speed of light, we could actually slow down time; If you did, everything around you would age: But you wouldn't. If you were to do so, some theorises that if we were in a space shuttle or train on earth or perhaps space, and travelling at the speed of light for a year, we would emerge, a few hundreds, or tens of thousands of years from where we started. And while some may also state that travelling at the speed of light to enter wormholes that may warp to the past; while it is possible, is very hard. Be skeptical. Wormholes allow tiny particles and entering at the start of when one is created is hard, as the end may slam shut (who knows) and you could be trap in the infinite abyss. It is a theory, but risking it wouldn't help. I have done calculations, and 1 astronomical unit is 150,000,000 kilometres, and 1 wormhole is possibly 1 AU, and thus, light being the fastest thing in the entire infinite universe, possibly other substances of matter or other massless particles may be faster, it would 500 seconds average for us, travelling at the speed of light to past 1 Astronomical unit. Anyways, zooming into this example, the speed of light is 299,792,458 m/s. The distance of the sun and earth is 1 astronomical unit, and as the sun rises, you notice that earth doesn't automatically be filled with light, but actually, it would take roughly a few minutes for it to have light, (Disregarding the exception of the moon as well) as light would be travelling the astronomical unit. To be continued...
