I've always pondered that idea, but never came around to it. I guess you beat me lol. My guess would be to start by either, choosing or designing a desk. This way you'll be able to have 'creative control' as far as putting a computer inside it. Once you find an applicable desk, you need to pick a computer. To make things simple, try going with a mini pc, as they are small and will give you more room in side the desk for other things. As for the monitor, use a touch screen monitor. This will allow a student not to rely on a mouse and keyboard, giving them more room on their desk. Depending on how you design the desk, you'll have to; solve heating problems by adding fans to cool down the computer, making usb ports accessible and last but not least, you'll have to find a way to power it.
