  1. Thanks for the info five, but I forgot to mention that the blackout is artificial and just abruptly happened. Thanks for the link Endy! Seems like it has all the information I needed. I'll read into it.
  2. Hello. Well, it's not exactly for homework, but I wasn't sure where to post this question. So anyway, I'm in the middle of writing a fiction book right now after I finally finished my nonfiction a few days ago, and one of the plot point is a decade of global blackout caused by low earth orbit EMP that was deliberately triggered to prevent an imminent nuclear apocalypse. Is it plausible? If it is, how big of an explosion, or how many of them are needed to cause a decade of global blackout?
  3. Alright, I'll set them so they blow the air up then Well, even if I'm not wearing a jacket it still feels pretty hot outside, and I think a jacket will conceal the fans better compared to a plain shirt lol.
  4. Information is just how we perceive and try to understand things, and data is just sets of physical matters put together to portray information in ways that we understand. Therefore it's more psychological than physical since our perception of things is governed by how our brain and mind works. Physical matters can be used to store and portray data or information, but data or information themselves can't materialize into physical objects unless there is an instrument, with sets of parameters, that works on constructing physical objects based off those data or information. Say, a brick tower is 3 meters tall and weighs 10 kilograms. That information can't materialize into physical objects by itself. But we can use physical objects to store that information, and from that information we can materialize that information into physical objects by building the said tower, or by creating a machine that can build it. You do need physical matters to store data and information, though, (A piece of paper, electronic storage, our brain) and to convey it (light, soundwave, radio wave, electronic means, and the likes) Everything is physical, even those that are oftenly called as metaphysical need physical matters to exist.
  5. This might sounds weird, but I'm planning to carry or stitch some battery-powered PC case fans inside my jacket to fight the heat outdoor. I live in Indonesia and the air humidity level is always high for most part of the country, and it makes outdoor activities almost impossible to enjoy, except for the first quarter of the day and the evening, or during cloudy days. My question is, should I set the fans as exhaust, intake, or exhaust-intake setup? And should the exhaust points upward or downward? Thanks.
