  3. You have that much Sodium! dude give me some! ~Scott
  4. I think that the small amounts of other metals that may fall away from the screws would be minimal and would hardly make a measurable amount of substance. Stainless steel can oxidise but it takes a bit of work i dont think that the screws were very high quality. I thought steel was just an alloy with iron and other metals, dont know about a chrome layer though?. Galvanised steel is coated in zinc i believe maybe thats what your thining of... ~Scott
  5. "well stainless steel has more metals than Fe in it, chromium, nickel and myobium mainly, so maybe the oxidised forms of one of these metals is green." I though about this but wouldn't iron oxidise first due to reduction potentials therefore the other metals (chromium nickel) wouldn't oxidise untill all the iron was gone. Which would be most of the pan! ~Scott
  6. I'm sorry i know crap all about electronics But if you have some chemistry questions ill be more then glad to help, dont know why they'd come up but you never know where these projects lead you Anyway, Good Luck and have fun. ~Scott
  7. I dont know about that green sludge your probably forming some chloride compound but i don't know what. Also if you want to speed up you electrolysis add some sulfuric acid instead of a salt. Plus graphite electrodes like calbiterol suggested is also a good idea ~Scott
  8. I dont think so all other elements solidify at too high temperatures. ~Scott
  9. If you ask me physics is already confusing enough I like the system we have now ~Scott
  10. High numbers of red blood cells may indicate: Low oxygen tension in the blood. Congenital heart disease. Cor pulmonale. Pulmonary fibrosis. Polycythemia vera. 14. Yeah like i said that eqn was a guess if it is right then hydrogen would definately be released. About i dentifying the hydrogen you can see little bubbles but that would be realy unlikely because only small amounts are being formed. Do the reaction in a tt with a stopper as you remove the stopper hold a match over the top if it "pops" then you have hydrogen . About the CuCl being formed i suppose seeing if you had CuCl2 as a reactant and you didn't have enough Al then you could get some CuCl forming. ~Scott

  19. This is true but many families believe that the death of the killer will bring that closure even if afterwards it dosen't happen. I know alot of people who believe the death penalty is appropriate in some cases the main argument i am met with is something alog the lines of 'they commited a murder so they should die or an eye for an eye'. To this I say do we, as a punishment rape rapists or steel from theives? no because this is not justice why should the death penalty be any diferent? I think imprisonment in many cases is about rehabilitaion and realiseation for the crimes a person has commited by taking responsability for their actions. I'm interested in what you think do you think that some criminals that are facing the death penalty can be rehabilitated? ~Scott
  20. Dissolve 2 No Doz tabs in a bottle of gatorade. Dirnk right before a test. enjoy. ~Scott
  21. That is too true Id like to oppologise to Bettina i shouldn't have called you stupid or immature. Also i'll just clearly state my views on this discussions to clear things up a bit. -I dont support the death penalty -I dont support the prosicution of those who defend murderers. -I dont support murder crime ect in any way. In true pangloss stlye i'll end this with a quote Permanent good can never be the outcome of untruth and violence. --Mahatma Gandhi ~Scott
  22. I thought i made myself perfectly clear but i'll say it again the lawyers have done nothing illegal in fact if they were to do the opposite and poorly represent him the he would get a re-trial and then the lawyers would be charged with misconduct. However i must say im glad you have dropped the prosicution of these poor lawyers down from a public burning solicitation of murder... You have clearly missed the point perhaps you are blinded by your hatered for this man. The only reason i can think of that you would say these things and this they are reasonable is because your really upset but just take a few deep breaths and think about what your sugesting -Kill this man -Kill his attorneys -Kill his expert whitnesses -Deprive him of a fair trial How can this make sense?!? Just read those things out lound and realise how ridiculous they are! ~Scott
  23. Firstly nice quote Pangloss But there seems to be no point arguing with you two i mean you are seriously considering putting the lawyers and expert whitnesses on trial for defending this guy which I believe the law in your contry is that every1 deserves a fair trial? I mean theres just no reasoning with you. Don't foreget the lynch mob. Oh yeah did it ever occur to you that maybe the parents are opposed to the death sentence and are not all bloodthirsty manics like yourself. Yeah thats their job they are paid to do that and it is the law that they try their hardest for their client the law can't be totally one-sided... I have never held a vigil or been in a support rally for this man or any other where the hell did you get that from! Oh ok thats good you remain immature and stupid and don't think like rational people who see that mass murder of lawyers and expert whitnesses as completely irrational... Well this is a tough one because they are doing their jobs to the letter of the law and they did not commit any crimes... ~Scott
