Holographic Universe Hijack (from Quantum Entanglement ?)
Itoero replied to Itoero's topic in Speculations
So the mass energy equivalence is a simplification? Photons have no rest mass because they have no rest energy. -
In 2017, researchers at Washington State University demonstrated negative effective inertial mass experimentally by cooling rubidium atoms close to 0 K with lasers.https://phys.org/news/2017-04-physicists-negative-mass.html Negative mass contains negative energy. In the Kondo effect entanglement arises close to 0 K, which inhibits kinetic energy of conducting electrons...This shows an attraction force between the entangled electrons...which can be explained by negative energy. .

Holographic Universe Hijack (from Quantum Entanglement ?)

No. m (rel) =E/c². The mass energy equivalence is for invariant or rest mass and relativistic mass. The equation of course differs depending on what your calculating but E=mc² is the starting point. -

Yes, and E =mc²....energy is mass...why don't you acknowledge this? -
Holographic Universe Hijack (from Quantum Entanglement ?)
Itoero replied to Itoero's topic in Speculations
Particles in for example a zero temperature quantum system don't create extra energy, they transform energy. There are two meanings for the word 'mass' in special relativity. There is invariant mass and relativistic mass. If a photon has no mass then how can it have momentum? -
Consciousness arises from knowledge/information which is stored via connected neural pathways so by removing the consciousness you die, your body needs the information of connected neurons to function. If a computer has consciousness then it arises via everything that's connected via the motherboard.

Does brain power determines eye sights?
Itoero replied to nec209's topic in Evolution, Morphology and Exobiology
The brain, eyes and the rest of the body evolved together to adapt to changing environments. Our eyes our not a product of a big brain. If you somehow increase the brain size then that will not change your eyes. Having one eye is also pointless for people because 2 eyes give better 3D vision. An African elephant has for example a lot(x3) bigger brain then we have but most of its neurons are located in the cerebellum, probably related to sensorimotor specializations.https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24971054 An elephant has 2 eyes.... bigger head and one eye ball...like cyclops? -
Our consciousness is an evolutionary trait. In a sense...yes. We need food, water and air...a computer electricity. Our consciousness arises by the storing of knowledge and the way stored knowledge interacts. Their is a huge amount of knowledge stored in a computer which causes a computer to react correctly to its environment. A big difference is that new stored knowledge in a computer doesn't interact which prevents the consciousness of a computer to grow.

I did not read that, or maybe I did but didn't know the meaning. I read they find negative energy density in the entropy. What is the energy density that's used as reference? They find entanglement in hydrogen atoms and negative energy.https://arxiv.org/abs/0905.4506?context=physics https://arxiv.org/pdf/quant-ph/9709052.pdf

You might find this paper interesting. "A conclusion of the first part of this work (main theorem) could be: in quantum mechanics to interact means nearly always to entangle. We showed that real interactions do necessarily generate entanglement (the inverse result, that it is impossible to generate entanglement without turning on an interaction, is rather trivial).https://arxiv.org/pdf/quant-ph/0401121.pdf

Ground state Entanglement induces negative energy density regions https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-642-11731-2_9 And here they find negative energy in Entanglement entropy.https://arxiv.org/pdf/1404.0602.pdf This negative energy density fits with the Holographic entangled space time.(negative energy density regions hook space together) The fact that ground state entanglement induces negative energy density fits with the Kondo effect. The nearly 0 K (in the Kondo effect) causes the ground state and the negative energy density inhibits kinetic energy of conducting electrons. The Casimir effect can form negative energy density which causes an attractive force between the plates.

Holographic Universe Hijack (from Quantum Entanglement ?)
Itoero replied to Itoero's topic in Speculations
According to the mass-energy equivalence they have (relativistic) mass. Anything having mass has an equivalent amount of energy and vice versa. Do you deny this? Yes but this is when you only measure the entire system. How can you not transform energy when you break correlation? -
Sam Harris (an atheist) says that God is possible/inevitable
Itoero replied to ProgrammingGodJordan's topic in Religion
Many people believe we live in a kind of simulation.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simulation_hypothesis I think it's very likely the holographic principle. is correct.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holographic_principle Even if this principle is correct, it does not explain the origin of the universe. This frightens me, you can always ask: 'And where does that comes from?' There is an infinite amount of possibilities for the origin of the universe. -
Sam Harris (an atheist) says that God is possible/inevitable
Itoero replied to ProgrammingGodJordan's topic in Religion
If there is a god then it's not a personal god but then it's imo an impersonal force. This idea that if there is a god, it should help people, is because people ascribe human traits to god...which does not make sense. -
Mordred's link shows that an electron and photon can get (spin) entangled.https://arxiv.org/abs/1210.5555 "In the experiment, the QD is initialized to a pure state via optical pumping, then excited to the jTx i trion state with a laser pulse, where it then decays to the two ground states with equal probability [9]. When the jTx i state decays, the horizontal (vertical) (H,V ) polarization state of the emitted photon, collected along the z axis, is correlated with the final state (jx+i, jx i) of the QD."
-
It doesn't explain the process but Strange's link is very interesting and shows you can entangle a boson with fermions. "In the Quantum Memory Laboratory at the University of Warsaw, the group of three physicists was the first to create such an entangled state, which consisted of a macroscopic object—a group of about one trillion atoms, and a single photon. "Single photons, scattered during the interaction of a laser beam with atoms, are registered on a sensitive camera. A single registered photon carries information about the quantum state of the entire group of atoms. The atoms may be stored, and their state may be retrieved on demand," says Michal Dabrowski, Ph.D. student and co-author of the article." Mordred's link."we report an all optical experimental demonstration of quantum entanglement between a single electron spin confined to single charged semiconductor quantum dot and the polarization state of a photon"

No. I think many or maybe most people believe in the God of the gaps (although most of them will probably deny this). They see(or invent) all the unanswered questions in science which makes people think God is the answer. There is always a place for God. If we somehow proof abiogenesis and have sufficient evidence concerning the origin of matter then you can still believe God made abiogenesis possible and created whatever formed matter. There is always a place for God...you don't have to deny any science to believe in God.

I don't know. But isn't a debroglie wave a common property for bosons and fermions? You need a common property to get entangled. Or maybe the answer lies in the angular momentum...electrons can get spin-entangled.
-
The de broglie wave.

Can you entangle an electron and photon? Can you (in theory) entangle all bosons and fermions?

Holographic Universe Hijack (from Quantum Entanglement ?)
Itoero replied to Itoero's topic in Speculations
It depends on the quantum system, the transformed correlation energy spreads trough the quantum system and you measure it as mass or energy. Mass is a form of energy. When you calculate the mass of a photon for example (with its energy) then most of the mass is actually kinetic energy. Mass is the measure of an object's resistance to acceleration (a change in its state of motion) when a net force is applied...kinetic energy can increase the resistance to acceleration in a certain direction. Then kinetic energy is mass. -

Ok, but a pair is a kind of matter. The collapsing of entanglement can't create matter but does transform energy which can be transformed in mass.(E=mc²).
