We are born selfish...robot vehicles blindly programmed to preserve the selfish molecules known as genes. We have evolved not to 'just agree'.

People said I'm cherry picking several times. iNow said I cherry pick the handful of negative deeds and ignore the multitude of positive deeds. "Muslims do good in these same countries being ravaged by a tiny handful of terrorists. The white helmets of Syria featured last night on 60 Minutes are a quick and obvious example (or, counter example, to be more specific)." =>The White Helmets are founded by british security consultant James Le Mesurier and they are financed by Westerns goverments. (most) Muslims don't do good...the western world does. I can't understand how you can deny that correlation is causation. (this is not QM ) Many millions of Muslims migrated into Europe the last years. When new data show that criminality again rises...will you then still deny it's because of Islam? There are many anecdotes and data concerning criminal behavior in islam-countries. The punishment for adultery, apostasy and rape...do you deny that's caused by religion?

What do you think about raw feeding for dogs, cats and other carnivores? It's a diet that exists primarily of uncooked meat, edible bones and organs. I've been feeding my dog (West Siberian Laika) raw for maybe 5 years. His teeth are more clean then when he ate dry food and he eats more. He thinks raw food is a lot more tasty. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raw_feeding

Global warming changes environments. This might cause more harmony in specific areas but imo it will cause more wars...globally.
-
It's definitely not alright. People which are in power (like priests) are known to use their position to do bad things. (child molesting) Their is imo the big question whether they use that position of power or is the behavior caused by that position?
-
Doesn't that 'definition' changes when you deal with other science? Chemical stability refers to the tendency of a material to resist change.
-
Such a process was not possible without 'intelligence'. IQ tests are of course not 100% correct. They give an idea of someone's intelligence.

What do you mean with 'stable'? There is no strict border between stability and instability. You might call it survival of the most stable states. States which are stable enough can be measured/studied. Reactive oxygen species https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reactive_oxygen_species are very reactive and have short half lifes (you can call them very unstable) so measuring them is very difficult. That's why they measure a more stable footprint of ROS, like TBARS.

That's true. You have basically two kinds of fear. *You can fear an abstract like you pointed out. *You can fear reality...this causes you to be careful when you handle a sharp knife or when you use a saw.

When someone becomes religious when he's dying, is that because he's afraid of dying and wants to live forever?
-
Things you can't control cause fear...like a bear or several bears.
-
I don't know if this makes any sense but for space (a measurement) you need more then one particle...perhaps space time doesn't demand more then one particle.
-
Because I haven't given up completely...I'm not defeated yet. I have neuromuscular disease. I'm still 'here' because of my family. And death is very final, while life is full of possibilities. I do need at least 5 therapies to be healed completely.
-
So in theory, you can have space time without space?
-
Space is imo a form of energy.

"Cherry picking, suppressing evidence, or the fallacy of incomplete evidence is the act of pointing to individual cases or data that seem to confirm a particular position, while ignoring a significant portion of related cases or data that may contradict that position." Which data or related cases do I Ignore? Those data that show the %Muslims in the gen. population is lower then the %Muslims in prison is not linked to specific countries. How am I picking cherries when I give those data?
-
I think you are defeated when you've lost the will to live.
-
That's the kindest thing I've read in a while
-
That's true. It's my opinion but it doesn't say much about what other people think. I've heard from several people that they are afraid of dying. That might be. I wouldn't know, I have a poor memory.

The math shows our idea concerning reality it does not say anything concerning ultimate reality. So you know what the physicists think?
-
It's a lot more then 'some' things. Isn't the (observable) universe made by fundamental particles/quantum effects? The math explains the seemingly random behavior. It explains our current 'idea' of the nature of the universe.
-
If quantum effects/fundamental particles are not caused by anything then the universe is not caused by anything? You think the universe appeared out of 'thin air'? And you think probabilistic math explains the nature of the universe...
-
If true randomness exists then you can have an effect without a cause...that's impossible. An effect is always adjusted to the properties of a cause. A random effect is not adjusted to any properties, so it's not invested in the structure of its reality. Randomness can be defined as the absence of structure or pattern.(the absence of rules) All processes we label as random are "apparently" random. I claim or hope that in some future golden age of science all types of randomness, including quantum weirdness, will be banished. But until we actually reach that elusive stage in the development of science, all we can say is that randomness seems to be a feature of the universe.

I gave many data and many anecdotes and I have many more of those. You deny that the correlation between the data concerning Muslim criminality gives new data. Why?
