  1. Armies don't make Trump's lies true. The American economy favors the rich and penalizes the poor. America is among the worst for healthcare, education and self slaughter from improper gun handling. Americans are prisoners in their own home. There's not enough locks or guns to protect yourselves from yourselves. America is no leader. Certainly not mine.
  2. Maybe to other Americans, but not to the rest of the world. America has isolated itself, oblivious to the fact Trump followers are little more than propaganda parrots, at any cost.
  3. You mean like corporate welfare. Corporations leech off the resource base of a country. Mining, logging, fishing, ranching, agriculture are public resources, often extracted without adequate compensation to stakeholders or mitigation of pollution. It's one thing to not pay for it in the first place, but to wholesale it and not pay taxes afterward is bad for the system, irrespective of the need for jobs. Placing the onus of taxation on the worker leads to a dark place.
  4. No worries. Coal mining will make America great again. Science and technology is for the rest of the world to suffer.
  5. Canada will help the United States during any righteous war. We are STILL in Afghanistan. That's why we told America to pound salt over Iraq. By the way, America lost that war. Vietnam too. Late for WW1, late for WW2. Churchill said it best. "We can always count on America to do the right thing after all other alternatives are exhausted."
  6. Pretty much all of my life, the words socialist or communist rolled off the tongues of republicans in an era of McCarthyism as a means to an end of a discussion on any matter. Now that Republicans jumped into bed with the Russians, not so much. I can image the bloody murder being screamed from neocons if the shoe were on the other foot.
  7. It's because Trump is not leading from the people, he's blathering from the lunatic fringe of the right winged base. While that may work around election time or in totalitarian regimes, it does not work for the people at large in a democracy. Buried in the tax bill: http://www.newsweek.com/tax-bill-approved-arctic-drilling-will-plunder-10-billion-barrels-oil-and-753670 What did America get for handing over it's parks to big oil? Pennies at the pump? Regulations put in place after the Exxon Valdez are gone. Not great.
  8. Pfft.
  9. I stated my opinion, relative to the topic. You have every right to dismiss it, but none to deny me from expressing it. So I will reiterate. Giving the lion's share to the rich, taking away health care then throwing a party to celebrate is brain dead leadership.
  10. Yet more spin. Fail.
  11. Leadership is an entity, not a person. Your spin fails. And yet again, you are not the boss of me.
  12. I said your leadership is brain dead.
  13. I don't care what you believe. This a science forum. Don't expect anyone to follow your belief system as qualification to participate in this thread.
  14. You are not the boss of me.
  15. America has sold out.
  16. There's something seriously brain dead about the leadership of a country that redistributes money to the rich and takes away health care, then throws a party in the White House.
  17. Mollusks physically change genders in their life time. Social construction has nothing to do with it.
  18. Agreed, we're not claiming it to be an echinoderm insomuch as observing similarities. Echinoderms are radial skeletal, generally with five distinct interconnected segments whereas annelids are not. Sunflower stars may present with up to sixteen segments, while bat stars may present with six or seven. Echinoderms vary broadly from each other. Some spawn into the water column, while others by asexual separation (or both). The video didn't specify whether the spines were calcareous or chitinous, but it's known that some annelids have nacreous linings to the calcareous tubes they inhabit. Nacre is not exclusive to mollusks. Also agreed, are the tubed feet which seem more common across the phylum than the hard skin does.
  19. Appears annelid to me, though most worms aren't spiny. Echinoderms are more about "hard skin" than spines. Even some echinoderms have soft skin (ie) sea cucumber. Many have no spines at all (no less functional ones)
  20. The whole Hillary thing is just old. It's getting to the point where it can be added to the urban dictionary. "Hillary" can be used as a synonym to Godwin, where invoking the topic derails the discussion, hence failing the debate. By default. "Hillaried" be used as a term for preemptive character assassination, particularly one in a sexist, conspiratorial or malicious manner.
  21. Enter below trumpanzees declaring the default - this could never possibly even remotely at the longest stretch of the imagination be a sexist comment and liberals are just sore because Hillary lost excuse.
  22. You are missing my point. It's not a crime to use a private server either, if the information is in a public reporting stream. It's illegal to hide it. it's illegal to destroy specific evidence if summoned to provide it. Hillary is guilty of preempting a fishing expedition, a FoIA workaround and phony scandals or conspiracy theories cooked up by republicans , solely to assassinate her character. She had every right to protect herself. The current government and former opposition seem to have no problem with government intrusion or hostile foreign involvement when it comes to underhanded treatment of other parties. It's hypocrisy on stick, slathered in bullshit. The law is clear, no matter how many times anyone claims otherwise. Hillary has not been charged with anything. My point being Hillary's ill-perceived maybes have absolutely nothing to do with anything that's going on today, including crimes against the United States of America. Can you imagine the conservative outrage if the person charged with those crimes was brown? No less kneeling at a football game during a song? It's bad enough republicans are shielding teen stalkers and pussy grabbers, but when the actions of traitors are preferred to liberals in government, America has lost the ability to ever aspire greatness again.
  23. Like that will have any bearing on anything? I doubt it. All talk, but spineless to act.
  24. One dick pic to an underage girl was all I needed to convince me he was an asshole and deserves what he got. Conservatives are not introspective when it comes to their own kind, ever. Just license to double down. You do realize all the Trumps and their cronies use private email servers right? Why not scream that from the rooftops like you do about Hillary's perceived crimes? http://www.cnn.com/2017/09/26/politics/white-house-private-email-kushner-trump-bannon-priebus/index.html
  25. And time and time again Republicans and FOX news outright lied about Hillary. Especially when it came to accusations. In every second breath, they'd drop the old "we have inside information from the FBI that Hillary Clinton is about to be indicted". When in reality, the FBI doesn't charge, the JD does. Umm sorry, but going on about Hillary lies is just self defeating. She pales compared to the epidemic, serial stream of lies from the current president. It's absurd to bring up a bad example in the midst of a horrible example. It's not just lies or one's right to free speech, it's a conspiracy of malicious prosecution and a conspiracy of character assassination being perpetuated, even to this day. Americans are hung up on politics and free speech, at the cost of decorum, honesty and civility. America is undergoing a Tragedy_of_the_commons The resource being the US Constitution.
