  1. Thanks for the correction. In which case, guilty is interchanged with uncharged and exonerated both without consideration of the premise of civility or justice.
  2. The premise the presumption of innocence until proven guilty and a trial buy one's peers is lost on too many Americans. It's greatly uncivilized to flip off right's to favor opinions on any matter and it's getting worse by the day. As to OJ, Ron Goldman. He defended himself tooth an nail. He was strong, pumped with Adrenalin. The scene was a bloody mess and descriptive of struggle. No way could OJ single handedly kill both, get in a vehicle leave merely one micro drop near a handle. Then go to a recital with his daughter, then catch a flight to Chicago. Oh, the glove. I can't see the handle on the patio door when I go out at night, yet Mark Furman can see a bloody glove over a 10 ft wall. Riiiiiiight. A glove that had no holes. Yet the prosecutor claimed a cut OJ had on his finger was inflicted during the murders. I don't doubt OJ knows who did it. That's why he was found guilty in the civil suit. He was extorted by gangsters... pay up or Nicole gets it and everyone will think you did it, kinda deal.
  3. You forgot about one small thing that was parotted for like four years. It rhymes with shmenghazi. It might have even been half believable in history if only republicans where so needy for outrage, with Niger.
  4. No. waitforufo trolls from the fringe. He got the boot for it, no guts to defend it. Quit with the outright lies, already. I stand in the middle and I see right through your obsession to paint me as though I'm not. Besides that to invoke your self proclaimed authority, WTF does that have to do with Al Franken? Pfft.
  5. The lunatic fringe is too disruptive of the middle ground discussions, nowadays. Trump demonizes his own party as lunatic fringe when they don't goose step. Remember the moral majority thing? There are moral conservatives, several quite outspoken. Some not so much. Too many not at all. (To speak out against Trump) Truth is, Hillary served long and hard as representative of the USA and FLOTUS, I could go on for days about the good things she did, but Republicans demonize her in every low brow way possible and then some. At the cost of the truth or the worth of service. Truth is, an specious affront to a person where there was no "there there" reflected shamefully on America, long before a guy who paints his face orange entered the picture. Truth is, NOTHING rises above the hot water Trump and his cronies are in, at THIS TIME. Yeah, somehow I don't think Ronnie would collude with Russia, no less to lift sanctions or hide and retain financial ties.
  6. Reagan funded a secret war in Central America by illegally selling guns to Iran. Funny how most conservatives seem to overlook that fact. (Definitely not directing this at you) You did, to your credit. + 1 for objectivity.
  7. No, because it's a hypothetical scenario, no less a ridiculous comment driven from the phony narrative that I (we) am/are some kind of apologist for liberal sexists. Conservatives have no moral authority to preach to anyone about moral authority.
  8. It's the whole narrative thing. A conservative troll writes the OP to give the impression liberals need to sweep the floor and clean house. Then MigL jumps in and tell us what broom to use and what stokes to take. Meanwhile the conservative house is caked in shit and no one lifts a finger.
  9. I can't discuss political parties, but you can discuss my comprehension. Got it. Yes, always.
  10. Well... it was predictably posted in the political section of this forum, by a hyper-partisan contributor who earned a little holiday right around that time. Republican or Democrat has everything to do with OP and their agenda. It has everything to do with practicing what is preached (or the pervasive lack of same) I agree wholeheartedly, you are correct in the sense it shouldn't be about politics, do you need a notarized letter from my lawyer or a biplane to tow it across the sky of your town? Yet made it about politics nonetheless. This after telling me I can't raise political parties in a political thread about a politician on a board you don't moderate.Does that seem a little authoritarian in your view? Okay some rules, your rules. With that, I have to ask the authoritarian thingy question, again.
  11. Franken appears in a mix of admission and denial. Seems realistic under the circumstances. If Franken deserves to be pilloried, there ought to be some other heads having rotten fruit cast at them too. Republicans have zero moral authority. None. Not only is moral authority gone, it went backwards in time. And that's a shame really, because there are upstanding factions within the republican party that have been relegated to the same scorn.
  12. Because that's what waitforufo does here. To use Trump's and every other conservative's excuse, waitforufo hit first and yet you'd excuse or block any criticism by deflecting on non-issues and accusing the rebuttals of doing what the OP is doing. Just another daily example of the conservative double standard for all to see.
  13. The fact that he takes responsibility for his actions, while others who are accused (namely republicans) don't.
  14. Franken could run as a Republican and they'd probably take him, especially if it meant winning a seat. Trump's a liberal turncoat pervert, why not Al? Grab Weenie when he gets out too.
  15. The White House is complaining that Flynn was an Obama official. I guess they forgot about the Obama fired him and warned the Trump transition team part. Kushner won't take the fall for Trump. Seems Ivanka has a dilemna. She'll say nothing. Both in jail (maybe Don Jr. too) means she becomes queen of the Trump dynasty. Her book deal alone will be worth billions. Flynn appears to be under very strict conditions by his plea deal. No pleading the 5th. No "I don't recalls". Truthful answers. All of which to be weighed at his sentencing later.
  16. As the walls come tumbling down. https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2017-12-01/kushner-is-said-to-have-ordered-flynn-to-contact-russia
  17. Stop the lies FFS. This was ONE post ago. So you lied about the neg AND my reason why I would do it. Then a tactless joke about my age. Then lied about my objectivity when I clearly said the opposite on the same page, then you have the audacity to admonish me as to what this thread's about. This is nuts. I'm out.
  18. No, there you go with the false narrative again. I admonished Al Franken and do not excuse any of his actions. And Ten Oz makes a strong point (repeatrdly) that all republicans are doing is pointing fingers at victims and liberals to mask their own wrong doings, which accusations are far more serial and egregious if not outright criminal. Lauer doesn't escape my criticism or disdain, neither does Conyers.. I have no reason to doubt the account and issue that have come to light strike me as creepy. I'm sure you'll insist otherwise, then insist you never insist the next breath. Liberals have no problem distancing toxic followers or leaders then moving on. A lot of conservatives have called for the judge to back out. Three quarters of the population agree, wholeheartedly. The issue at hand are the few that remain who loaded with politically charged denials, shaming victims and lacking leadership dealing with morality issues. If one goes, they should all go. If they all stay, that's the mess the US elected for themselves. Making America great again. #rollseyes And FYI I didn't neg you, no less to prevail in what ever all-or-nothing game you think this is, but thanks for phony dig. It speaks volumes.
  19. The moral failures of liberal leaders has been admonished, yet we've not seen any moral authority from conservative leaders. The OP fails at making the situation appear the other way around. It's derogatory because you called him a pig. It's hypocritical because you followed up by saying you didn't say anything (no less derogatory) about him. WTF Is with that? And if you call that a joke, it was a sick one.
  20. It's not whataboutism. This is about the false narrative that's been trolled up by this thread. Republicans fail all moral authority under Trump, yet preach it liberal proportions. Muddy the water with Franken, detract from Trump. Oldest, phoniest trick in the book. See, there you go. Saying something derogatory, then claiming you didn't say anything about him. Don't piss on my leg then tell me it's raining.
  21. No. He doesn't. Trump does though. Here's a citation of the fact issues. “When you’re a star they let you do it” “I did try and fuck her, she was married,” and says that when he meets beautiful women he feels able to “grab them by the pussy”. “You can do anything,”
  22. Let's give the Republicans a big round of applause for upholding that fine example in Flint, Michigan.
  23. You mean fuck over countries more, that are already getting fucked over by American protectionism and US subsidies. No water, no hydro power, no oil, no wood for you. Now. let's negotiate. What are you gonna do, just take it? American cannot even secure the smallest country in the world (Iraq), you think for a minute they'll take Canada? Bring your pile of guns. I have one gun and only need one bullet, then I'll have a pile of guns.
  24. I did, how remiss! Carter Page has Mueller's attention. Then of course Jeff Sessions is in deep doodoo. I doubt any of them will take the fall for the purported dictator. Sessions maybe, but the rest of them are turncoat liberals.
  25. I don't think waitforufo was advocating for the driver. I just viewed it as a bit of a troll thing. Entering a technicality (no less an abstract one) into the discussion. We have no idea if the driver will or won't so the point is neither true nor false. Moot perhaps.
