This gentleman will articulate the case due course. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Mueller Papadopolus plead guilty to making false statements to the FBI. That means a crime was committed. Charges were set aside because he proffered an agreement to give testimony in pending cases. Flynn's in hot water... deep. His attorneys have made a public notice they are no longer in discussion with the WH legal team. Jared is next. Don Jr. too. These things don't happen for no reason. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f0/Statement_of_the_offense.filed.pdf

Not in itself, but that kind of self aggrandizing is certainly a trait of dictators. And yes, the checks and balances have done the checks and we could debate the balances in ad infinitude. He behaves like one, seethes that he can't be one. He told police to use excessive force. He equates white racists with anti-fascist protesters. He call the media fake. He hires his family to work in the White House. Those are dictator antics.

"I'm the only one that matters" D. Trump. If Obama or Hillary said anything like that, you'd shit a brick.
-
So the Papadopolus guilty plea doesn't exist then? Flynn rolled over for what... parking tickets, jaywalking? What are these charges and plea agreements then? Fake news? Liberal conspiracy? Revisionist history, from the one who hysterically went on ad nauseam about Hillary and Obama's perceived crimes and called for incarceration in every breath. Apparently you have no concept of the shoe on the other foot. I suppose that's hard to grasp whilst overly preoccupied with that chip on your shoulder.
-
Perhaps you've watched too many Tucker Carlson videos where they advocate "How to run over protesters". Show me the part of the permit that allows for driving a vehicle into crowds. It's one thing to be intransigent, even hyper-partisan, but advocating or turning a blind eye to murder is the height of reprehensible. No less for exercising their 1st Amendment rights.

I'm not sure of the precise statutes involved, I'm inclined to think that colluding with a hostile enemy to influence an election is a crime in America. Nepotism, tax fraud, loan/grant fraud, misrepresentation, sexual assault. A disgrace to the office and buffoon to the world. Obstruction of justice can't look good to a judge, either. Papadopolus has already plead guilty, Flynn appears to have rolled over. Kushner is next. (not to mention what we don't know but Mueller does) Irrefutable facts, my friend. Try as you might, but you'll never talk them into non-existence. I love the irony of the republican "lock them up" meme. There will be orange suits issued before this is over, mark my words. The walls are closing in on your turncoat NY liberal idol.

At least you and I as Canadians see eye to eye on some issues, because they affect us in the same ways. Americans supporting Trump on the other hand would rather bite off their own noses to spite their faces. PM Harper was a crook, a liar and a bigot, but he had thick skin and was not childishly obsessed with his opponents. He did what he did with conviction and in no uncertain terms. He was a strong leader, unlike the shell of a man in the White House today. American neocons are all giddy about a supposed couple of grand per year extra, while Ivanka and Don Jr. get several million hacked off their inheritance taxes when the old man rots in hell. Then of course, double, triple or even quadruple health care, or deny it entirely. New home, no problem, who cares if it costs 30-35% more than under NAFTA, so long as Trump wins. Trump and his base of minions think, ha, we'll fix those over apologetic canucks by docking our own people and pocketing the cash. Meanwhile in Canada, nothing changed. We did our jobs, got paid what we expected and moved on. And I laugh, I'm sure you do too. Remember when Americans bought French wine at export/import retail, just so they could pour it down the drain? They sure fixed those guys that can't even speak American, huh? Even though it was less than 10 years ago, I'll bet most Americans don't even recall why, without having to google it. Thought they'd never admit it, republicans apparently love big government taking money through added or hidden taxation, under the guise of tax breaks and incurred more debt than any party in history. America isn't back on track to greatness, it's rapidly going to hell in a hand basket. A cold, (un)civil war. That won't change until they come the realization that truth really does matter. Not a minute before.

Well... because you seem hopelessly lost on the context of my question, let me spell it out for you. You have the audacity to admonish me for making a comment, which is my right, by suggesting no one can take me serious on any matter. When on the other hand, your president talks shit every day, about everyone and anything that gets under his skin. By that logic, your president has gone around the bend, off the deep end and towards the moon in readily dismissible drivel. What's worse, your complete absence of the inability or willingness to know the difference. It's desperate whataboutism, phony gotchas or deflection, and little else.
-
Are you incapable of reading your own thread without asking additional ridiculous questions? It's even on THIS page. Sheesh, troll much?
-
Since when does waitforufo answer questions insomuch as trolling up new one's to deflect from the issues presented to them?
-
Answer my questions first.
-
Anything I say is inconsequential. The things your president says are not. Apparently you're unable to tell the difference.
-
The epitome of hypocrisy. By that logic, how can anyone take your narrative seriously or Trump's. Trump makes derogatory statements about people EVERYDAY, yet nary a hint of admonishment. So what is it, derogatory good or derogatory bad? He's an insult to the 1st Amendment with his fake news nonsense and persecutes minorities by denying their right to protest peacefully. You fail constitutional law, horribly.
-
Yet more bullshit from the queen of denial. Franken openly invited an ethics inquiry and will accept his lumps for the minor transgressions he was involved with, while Dictator Trump and Molester Moore get a pass for advocating sexual assault in the workplace and molesting/threatening youth. Your little jihad against liberalism fails again, miserably.

Trump has native American soldiers in his office today. He opened by insulting Sen. Elizabeth Warren, using a racial slur. In truth it's Trump who said it, not "they". His lies are that obvious. Truth is, if he represents the truth as America knows it, then America has become a land of serfs under a psychotic dictator. What an embarrassment! A slap in the face to democracy and an affront to human decency. Not to be outdone though, he insulted CNN international as fake news. As the walls close in around his inner circle by the special prosecutor, Trump is reiterating the phony assertion that his involvement with Russia is a liberal conspiracy cooked up because they lost the election. Top that off with him challenging the Access Hollywood tape as fake. So, in one day. Insults to native Americans, a lie about coining derogatory names. Then derides the media for reporting the truth. Then lied about his own sexism. Then of course, the lies about the consumer protection agency and their role, so they can gut that for the sake of their cronies corruption. The republican sycophants (including the OP) eat it up the lies, the illegality and affronts to the constitution like good little Russians, they've been indoctrinated to be. Putin won. The OP loves to cite the 2nd Amendment as a constitutional tool to prevent tyranny, yet fail to recognize the tyrant in their midst, instead using it as a means to facilitate mass shootings. America has lost. Not just to itself, but to the rest of the world too. For shame.

The whole premise that America is getting screwed on trade is absolute nonsense. By virtue of that, re-entering any negotiation is from a position of bad faith... not strength. Let's go down the list, starting with oil. Oil is set by a world price. Canada produces, but does not refine tar sand. We sell it in crude form and America refines it. Canada does not refine it. How can America expect to renegotiate what is already an industrial and economic advantage? There's a lot of pressure from Canadians to refine their own oil. Actually, I prefer Texas refines it, you can have the pollution that goes with it. I won't mind if we refine it in Alberta because that will create jobs and reduce costs for Canadians, thus eliminating threats to the public environment from tar sand spilling in remote or occupied places. How about water? Trump wants to renegotiate the Columbia River deal. Fine. We close the dams. Let's talk (in the same language America talks to Mexico, it is NAFTA after all). Like the Colorado, you get nothing. We won't let you go thirsty though. Like your health care system, we'll provide access to retail water sources. You'll have many choices of different kinds of water from producers in many provinces. Hydro electric power. Canada produces sells it to California below cost. Fine. Brown out the west coast while we talk. Better get on that coal thing America ... greatness ensues. Agriculture. American cattle ranches and commodity farms are hugely subsidized. It's about time we talk about America's greatest socialist double standard. Ranching, pooling and leasing. Television, movies and entertainment. Canada will drop the tax havens for producers and drop them from the satellites and program guides. American stadiums are highly subsidized, where in Canada they are not. That would certainly end the National Hockey League as we know it and all the jobs that go with it. Border security. Close the border. Americans entering Canada must be vetted... extremely. Visas only, applied for in advance. From a world view and if not belligerent, complaining about the fairness of the race while currently in the lead is a rather stupid position to take. Have we arrived at the "if we want it, we'll just take it" part now? But you don't mind your kids or employees or friends or neighbors paying 30% more though for their opportunity? A house and property is probably the single most equitable investment the average citizen undertakes. That's not great, that's highway robbery on mass scale.

Wisconsin was targeted by Russians. Renegotiating trade agreements involves actually negotiating trade agreements, not declaring getting the shit end of the stick. Trump already reneged on the softwood lumber deal from Canada. I hope you enjoy your big government adding surcharges to softwood lumber and pocketing the money while you pay 30% more to build a house.
-
I will. Trump was calling for China to branded as a currency manipulator. That makes him a liar.
-
The lie about the lie.The expected doubling down on the ridiculous into the absurd.
-
Party before country, at any cost. The craziest part being, the ultra right conservative agenda is being carried out by a New York liberal.
-
A flag was invented so we could identify our allies from a distance, so we didn't kill them as they approached. Nowadays, we can't be so sure.
-
This is how your version of "we" alienates yourself from each other and the rest of the world. In Canada, we don't pledge to a flag. Collectively, we don't do it because it's perceived as goose stepping and we'd never dare prefix it an argument as to preemptively "win" a social issue. Outside of America, wearing national symbols on ball caps, speedos and corporate logos may often seen as stolen valor. While it's always acceptable to display Canadian flags in subtle ways, we'll only express larger displays when asked by others, for honor... nothing more.... ever. I'm not sure the flag issue is working well for America at the moment. It's no role model to anything other than overly jingoistic Americans, and little else.

Ironic especially , when common ground only ever seems to be on your side of the fence.
-
It's a good point. Al Franken would have come clean even in the absence of it, yet knowing it's existence. He simply does not fit the description of someone who would invite a scandal. Either scenario never happened, though. It won't stop conservatives from hillarying him though, I suspect.
-
Because I can. Whataboutism in whatever trolly format shouldn't stand, no less an OP on a science forum with rules governing that sort of thing.
