  1. Fair enough. At least you didn't re-mention not voting for Hillary in your follow up comment because I wasn't aware of which office she was running for. Invoking Hillary at every turn is just plain old if not absurd. Even insane, in so many instances.(though not directed at your comments) I doubt anyone in this thread thinks sexual harassment or assault is excused. Reading back, it's actually a non-issue that was incited by the OP to create a shit show. The point I was trying to make is the punishment ought to fit the crime. If I spit on you, that's assault. If I hit you, that's assault to commit bodily harm. If I shoot you, that's assault with a deadly weapon. Al Franken was contrite, admitting that he needlessly inflicted emotional distress and physical contact upon a woman he worked with. She accepted his apology. Anyone who denies these as mitigating circumstances, has a poor notion of justice or forgiveness. Thank you. +1
  2. Your reading comprehension is right up there with waitforufo and you seemed to answer my question in their stead, by characterizing me as turning a blind eye to harassment. The real issue at hand is your republican leaders are the one's who are actively and loudly minimizing sexual harassment and assault while blaming, shaming or accusing their victims of lying. That's far more insidious than the false narrative directed at my comments.
  3. Because there's a considerable difference between sexual harassment and sexual assault. Is the part were you conflate the discussion to tell me that I think the former is perfectly acceptable because it's not the latter?
  4. As per usual, your reading comprehension leaves little to be desired.
  5. I'm not certain, but I understand hyperthreading may cause overclocked CPUs to become unstable. That's a problem with linear circuits. If you increase power at the source, the amplified parts of the circuit become supercharged unless you're able to attenuate voltage or current along the line. Many components have both upper and lower operating limits. Too high may cause the component to not boot up or crash due to internal protections. In which case won't work and you can revert to the original configuration. Lack of internal protection may cause failures. Again, it depends on who manufactured which parts. All you can do is try.
  6. The problem with over-clocking is not always CPU temperature. Increased output can cause over-current in associated circuits on the main board not protected by a fan. I've over-clocked a few times with success, but one time blew up a MSI motherboard then reused the processor on an ASUS board, which operated over-clocked just fine.
  7. Her story is very compelling. I watched her interview on CNN and she seems genuine and reasonable. One thing she mentioned that struck me was her admission that she garnered a lot of strength to come forward from other accusers coming forward in recent times. Here's the thing though. This girl has earned some closure to something that's obviously haunted her for a long time. In a day or two it will be a non-issue. That's more than I can say for Trump or Moore, who egregiously continue to demonize accusers, cry "fake news" and iterate nonsensical or politically charged bullshit to no end. Yes. A pattern of harassment can be inferred, especially if you put her backstage account together with the antics in the photograph. And yes it really doesn't matter that much because because she was offend by those actions. It goes to show that people can be deeply affected by even relatively minor incidents involving one's sexuality, especially in the workplace. I shudder to think of the darkness that looms over those who've been persisted upon in more aggressive or pernicious ways. This is what irks me about that horrid excuse for a president, who advocates "just start kissing them" or "grab them by the pussy" and general lecherous or adulterous behavior while on the job then using the lame excuse that it's just locker room talk and publicly demonizing victims further. Trump was on contract, riding a bus chartered by ABC between two studios. On the bus were producers, hosts, audio and video crews, a driver, makeup artists and likely a few production assistants. He was miked up and made up while speaking to a producer in an inappropriate manner. Anyone suggesting that's locker room talk and little else needs their head examined. Then of course there's Moore's asinine "Mary and Joseph" analogy explanation for accosting young girls. If that's the standard America has for it's judges, it isn't and never will be great again. https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/compost/wp/2017/11/10/jesus-mary-and-joseph-the-roy-moore-story/
  8. Yes, which is the issue here and the ulterior motive of the OP. I took a closer look at the image. His hands aren't touching her breasts because you can clearly see shadows under his fingers. I seriously doubt gesturing in a sexual context near one's proximity rises to the level of sexual assault insomuch as tactless and behaving in bad taste. The kissing thing however crossed the line. To me, that sticks out more than the image does.
  9. Perhaps a hand wringing gotcha fail, like the Uranium One outrage nonsense. Then proceeded to list the victims from twenty plus years ago and completely unrelated incident, so don't preach to me about staying on topic, when you clearly divert from it at your whimsy to avoid answering pointed questions. What Franken did is dwarfed by the accusations leveled at your president and a sexually deviant republican judge who preys on teenage impressionables. In fact, in your reply seems to relish the fact she was inappropriately treated ( as weak as it is) as a desperate attempt to draw a false equivalency to the real story in the news cycles lately. Epic fail.
  10. Spare us the phony outrage. Franken behavior was inappropriate. However, by this photo it's blatantly obvious that it's a childish antic for a photo, not deviant sexual exploitation. That's what separates him from the pervert who calls himself president or the judge who actually accosts teenagers for his jollies. And being the OP why can't you ever answer questions, instead of deflecting with ridiculous commentary? So I will ask you again, breast bad, pussy good?
  11. Somehow I knew you drive-by troll this one with your double standard. Breast bad, pussy good?
  12. America shot itself in the foot protesting the parliamentary system. Two party polarization is toxic in America, bordering on extreme. The USA has no idea of the freedom they've given up by abolishing the non-confidence vote. The whole premise of party coalition is to prevent dictatorships. America would be smart to develop a third party system, but the trenches are dug and no-mans-land will be continue to be the objective for the distant future. Bernie Sanders and Ross Perrault have shown it's possible that an independent candidate can be a winner. Actually, it's not. It's your MO.
  13. Which is dwarfed as opposed to Trump hijacking the constitution and the conservative agenda. You ought to post some real issues to be outraged about instead of telling everyone else what they should be outraged about.
  14. Precisely. The OP would be correct in their thinking if the satellite footprint was directed at the sun, instead of the earth. However, in that event, the Clarke belt would be eclipsed by the earth on the winter solstice.
  15. All you neocons want to scrap NAFTA. Okay, lets do that. No uranium for America. Not what I'd call renegotiating from a position of strength. despite your blabbermouth of a president saying it is.
  16. The Clark Belt satellites are lined up along the earth's equator, not the sun's. Occasionally they need to be re-positioned, but for decaying orbits due to drag.
  17. There's no air on the moon, so in the absence of drag any hanging object will swing like a pendulum for a very long time.
  18. If anything, the Russian pee story demonstrated the checks and balances of objective journalism. Bias used to be narrative for discussion, but since Trump, his right to speak has been separated and elevated above the burden of truthfulness.
  19. Given their history of accosting women, quoting FOX News doesn't bolster any moral authority.
  20. Yet nary a word about the vindictive shit-speak and lies your pathetic excuse for a leader says about the other two thirds. Telling, very telling.
  21. The scary part being, there are literally tens if not hundreds of thousands that fit that profile. Even a fraction of one percent becoming unhinged and carrying out similar acts is not unlikely in that scenario. OMG!!! TRUMPS GOING TO TAKE OUR GUNS!!!! Sorry, I just had to say it.
  22. I was wondering the same of our most recent denier, especially since they promised to answer after a little research. The first question scarcely rose to the level of Chemistry 101 and the second is answered by grade school children on the spot. They were: What part carbon dioxide mixing with seawater creating carbonic acid do you not understand? Are you suggesting only background CO2 causes this and man-made CO2 is inert and as such has no effect on ocean acidification? Seems our troll woke up on the wrong side the bridge this morning
  23. Exactly. The OP can be likened to complaining about paying taxes for bridges because people are too lazy to swim or too cheap to buy a boat.
  24. The classic example of penny wise, pound foolish. Owing to the fact America turns a blind eye to universal healthcare, the burden has been placed on employers. A healthy, content workforce increases productivity. Daycare is a huge burden to the modern family. One of the big three (mortgage, car, daycare) that pretty much guarantees employees live from paycheck to paycheck. Paid maternity leave is infinitely more costly than that of contraception. I really doubt the OP is genuine in the context as it's presented insomuch as a dog whistle to detract from the agenda of regulating reproductive rights and undermining all forms of healthcare in general.
  25. Who died and made you the arbiter of what can or cannot be discussed, no less in the same breath punctuated with a bigoted statement?
