UofT was my first choice but as things have changed in my life. Like my ability to gain a British citizenship, i have a girlfriend in England of which we plan to be together for the next couple of years, and id like too build an international company i will need connections abroad. I have connections into the aerospace business in Canada (he told me grab a bachelors in any STEM and i'm good to go) thus i want to do Mechanical Engineering. I can learn any of the aerospace stuff through experience. Mechanical Engineering will give me a larger pool of selection on things i can do in the world so it is the wiser choice. Ill look into when i start university for i can get a foot into learning via working alongside academics. Any books, resource websites, youtube channels, etc to help with my learning?

I want to go down the UK system as in for foreseeable future (roughly 10 years) it is much more beneficial to be an engineer in the UK as opposed to Canada due to our dollar crashing. Currently i need to find a university to go to and i`d like to prove myself past a High school education through my own works as now adays it seems Universities look at how you are as much as grades. My grade were in high B`s 80 - 85. I am currently staying in the UK with my girlfriends family as my citizenship processes. I haven't had anyone to talk to from the UK when it comes to engineering so your help is the best i've found since i started this month. If you don't mind answering my questions When is the usual apply time for Universities here? As i have missed last year to work and take the time off of schooling to revise my plans and lay back. Since i'll have a citizenship i can apply as a domestic student. Do i need to take A levels? Or can i apply with a Canadian high school diploma + my own studies? Would a international test such as the PAT (Physics Admissions Test) help me towards this? If the highest aim is a Chartered Engineer in the UK then that is what i will acquire. How do i go about it? Hello science forum! I am a blossoming engineer. My goals are as follows: Get a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Use connections i have in the aerospace business to get myself a year internship, Work at various locations to get a vast understanding of the economics & aerospace business in general, Use the money to go back packing across the world to look for people i need of various professions to hire when i start a company, go back home to start a company off of the people i have that will invest in me, expand and attempt to one day join the commercial space industries that will start in my life time. Currently i`m at step one. I recently finished Canadian highschool but because of various reasons across the board i was shafted from having the benifits of knowing about IPslashAdvanced Placement classes that now basically give me access to top-tier universities. To prove my worth i am going to do my own self-studying of various studies such as Fundamentals of Astrodynamics. Including the PAT & an ELQ (Extended Learning Qualification) which is a neat little thing that lets you choose a question and answer it via a project in my case to showcase my abilities to learn. I can do this because i am in the process of acquiring a British citizenship via descent. I have the resources available to me to go to any schooling in the world & funding for self-projects because reasons. I want to use this for the good of all those without opportunity. Enough about me; i need help from this forum because i'm finding it really difficult to find Engineers/Maths people/Physicists to talk to anywhere else on the internet about improving my skills. I would appreciate books & resources (such as websites or programs) I can self-study to teach myself like i am currently doing with Feynmans Lectures on Physics & Fundamentals of Astrodynamics.
