Vladimir Putin wins Russian election with about 77% of vote
Raider5678 replied to Silvestru's topic in Politics
Because nothing is worth fighting unless you can win. Also, there have been 6 revolutions in the world against regimes since 1990 that have succeeded. Albeit, Russia is definitely more equipped than them, but even then they lost Ukraine. -

I forget which guy ordered that. I'm gonna get hung for saying this but...... If only they had the second amendment to protect their right to carry firearms and use them against an oppressive government..... -
Right now, Rocket Science.

Update: The welding oxygen tank didn't work(too bulky, and the seal didn't work and that lead to........problems.) So, I'm getting a metal worker to make the oxygen tank to the exact specifications.

Is there any field of science that is outrageously fascinating? Cough outer cough cough space cough.

I think another part is that parents are more likely to push for Ritalin to be prescribed for their child. I know a kid whose parents were telling me how much their son needs it while the kid literally has to have his name called 3 times before he'll look up and realize anything going on. He's slow at everything, you often have to repeat things, and he's definitely not there. Meanwhile, parents are telling me how much he needs it, and their daughters are doing cartwheels and running around everywhere screaming at the top of their lungs. I love little kids. I don't mind them doing that. But, seriously, the kids out of it. Way out of it. I asked the parents once what the doctor had said and they told me they had to get him tested some ridiculous amount of times before a doctor would grudgingly prescribe him it. Meanwhile, adults may be more likely to turn it down. This could also be confirmation bias, so take my word with a grain of salt.

Your question was predecided, as per usual with your posts. Your question was asking for information, it was a statement that you had already made your mind up on. This is a common characteristic of your posts. Except in most of the EU the inequality rate is lower, and the poverty rate is higher. -

So...... It's better if there are far more poor people, as long as there isn't such a large difference between the poor people and the rich people? I mean, I understand that inequality is bad, but seriously. It's hard to make the argument that more poor people are better than fewer poor people but richer people. http://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/stats/Economy/Inequality/Gini-coefficient/Level# -

Maybe it was me who started it. Let me check. Page 1: Nope. Sorry. Still you. Correct, my bad. Since I'm 15 the amount of money I can make before being taxed is higher additionally so since I am a student. I do pay sales tax when applicable. -

Great. So the mention of a guy who's successful in business starts you on the path to complain. -

Uh hu. Apparently, the UK is running rampant in unregulated capitalism than at 16.7%, and the EU, in general, is terrible at 17.3%. Additionally, over 30% of the population was just barely above the poverty line in the UK. For a rate that should be zero, that's really poor. This is not a battle of "who's worse". However, you're going to have a tough time convincing me the U.S. has more regulations on businesses then the UK. -

Every higher paying job isn't automatically a better job, just like all wealthy people aren't inherently bad. There are many variables. -
What is the average family net worth in the USA?
Raider5678 replied to cheetaman's topic in Politics
Yes. This is why the poverty rate was 15.1% in 2010. And 14.5% in 2014 And 13.5% in 2015 And 12.7% in 2016. And 11.8% in 2017. For reference, according to the Census Bureau(same place as all of these statistics actually), the record low was 11.1% in 1973. -

I'm exempt from taxes since I'm 15. I work as an electrician and a farm hard occasionally. Guess I'm part of the problem of unregulated capitalism because I'm not giving it back. -

You introduced the concept of "massive cost savings" that this guy was doing. Which nobody mentioned except you. And you missed the point as well. The other part you didn't quote. -
What is the average family net worth in the USA?
Raider5678 replied to cheetaman's topic in Politics
Absolutely. He's rich, we should immediately start assuming he's an immoral capitalist pig who steals from others by decreasing the number of people he hired in the first place. Which means he took it from them, not that he created wealth. Because selling things is stealing, you should actually give it away. Seriously though. Of course, he took it from others. That's capitalism. You sell your products, services, etc, in exchange for money. You don't print it. And even if he did fire people doesn't inherently make him evil. He hired a number of people, realized he didn't need some of them, and somehow that translates to "taking it from others"? I mean, he still made a surplus of jobs. And whether you and I agree or not doesn't matter, it's his company. -

The guy already has several hundred million. It's fairly safe to say it's not the same as someone climbing from $0 to $1,000,000,000 with someone going from a kid to a doctor. But change $0 to $300,000,000 and it's not that different. -
What is the average family net worth in the USA?
Raider5678 replied to cheetaman's topic in Politics
Ultimately that could be applied to anything someone aspires to be. "You're aspiring to be a billionaire? You're arrogant for thinking you can." "You're aspiring to be a doctor? You're arrogant for thinking you can." "You're aspiring to be a lawyer? You're arrogant for thinking you can." "You're aspiring to be a/an (insert something hard to become)? You're arrogant for thinking you can." -

From the description, it seemed like he thought it'd be an "amusing challenge" not that he was necessarily committed to being wealthy. -
They're dead last time I checked. Other wise this whole religious debate wouldn't be taking place. They were told not to. Very specifically told not to eat from that tree.
-
Because God told him? Genesis 3:3 "but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.'"

I went back to the original post and I realized I read it wrong. My apologies. I thought you were saying that we didn't have the ability to discriminate.
