  1. hey peoples, just wondering, does anyone know how to calcualte the error in a gradient (i.e. in a line of best fit) when the graph is plotted using excel, as there is only one line of best fit... ?? Thanks Sarah
  2. lol, this is along shot, but Kandi or budullewraagh you wouldnt happen to know the answer to this... http://38.118.74.97/forums/showthread.php?p=172871#post172871 ?? Thanks Sarah
  3. yeah i have done that, but i was thinking that there would be a value for the yield that is got when it is done in industry or something like that...? thanks for replying btw
  4. lol, anyone at all?
  5. so once again, thanks all for ya help
  6. ok, thanks thanks everyone for your help!
  7. oh and likewise for paracetamol (if anyone knows where this kind of info. exists ) ?
  8. oh yeah, i meant to ask... where can i find this kind of information? (or this specific piece of information?)
  9. hey i am writing up my prac on the preparation of aspirin, and just can't seem to find any information on what the "published" or "accepted" yield is. In my experimetn i got 86% (which i think is a little high). Cheers Sarah
  10. yeah i thought so, just checking thankss mezarashi
  11. ok thanks guys
  12. cross sectional area doesnt change, so resistance only depends on length..? it was more the ssecond question which i was unsure about
  13. oh btw, were my justifications correct? or i suppose did they justify my answers??
  14. yeah it has only 2 ends doesnt a comutator need to be put somewhere within the generator or something like that , and so makes the design much more compicated, whereas a rectifier changes it to dc current after it has been generated as ac current in the generator??
  15. wait a second there isnt more than one of those options that are correct are there? ie. e is the ONLY correct answer...?? right? cause i think it is...
  16. ok i think i understand it now, thanks guys
  17. lol, well it is now also saved on my computer too
  18. oh single coil winding? do you mean is there only one coil? because there is say a square with a wire wrapped 50 times around the squares circumfrence..
  19. no , i estimated about 50 coils
  20. well i have the coil spining inside the magnetic field, sorry bout that, its too late to change it now (dammit! ) so do i still need the slip rings? and/or the diode rectifier??
  21. oh and i am talking about the most basic possible ac generator here
  22. if i am trying to charge a battery (or store energy in a battery i suppose) using an ac generator would i need a commutator and/or slip ring things?
  23. so yeah i think what you said is correct
  24. however the rest of the question leaves me a little stumped
  25. is the current in the circuit just I = 2.5 A ??
