steel wool would do more harm than say alcohol. I had a pen explode on my wood floor not long ago and ethanol and some scrubbing got it off. However, acetone or toulene would probably work better. ud need something that doesnt dissolve the finish tho.

Im not sure wat the stuff was, but wen i was making my iodine there was like this brownish liquid and it smelled like chlorine but a bit differently that made it smell worse. i think it was HI or some chlorine compound

just try inhaling some condensed water vapor from dry ice. thats the closest u will get to having a toxic gas look alike and being able to inhale it.

iron oxide is rust, but thweres many forms of iron oxide (ferrous, ferric, ferricous). Rust is iron oxide the from known as ferric oxide.

id say it dangerous and reactive and powerful. it can be bought however, but its often used to make explosives so its generally not sold much.

u could try some organic solvents, but they arent guarranteed to do it or get rid off all the components. naoh would work. dont use gasoline cuz that will just leave another stain.

just use edta or other chalting agents to the water. something similar to "cl through tincture" perhaps.

correctme if im wrong, but if theres enough pressure in the devise, just that can cause the gases to react= boom.

kclo+candy===> awesome. also chlorate are defnately fun, id say funner than kno3. theyre so much more powerful. found that out when my rocket exploded (it was my only oxidizer a looong time ago) and i was like 10 feet away- that god for the electrical lighter.
