well the cellulose isnt soluable in water, sodum lauryl sufate is soluable in water, caCo3 is, croscamellose is insoluble but will swell up, stearic acid is insoluabe (being a fatty acid). So thus, if u pour water on ur mixture enough to dissolve the carbonate and sulfate, u can then filter it, and dry the solution- whic will leave u with laurel sulfate and caco3. The next step is to get rid of the luarel sulfate
mendeleev, sorry but that would do absolutely nothing but maybe snoke- it thin k u mean potassium permanganate. that and glycerine is used pretty often to light thermite
your pieces of rust or aluminum may be too big. Last time i tried thermite the aluminum fililngs were to big, and so the thermite was hard to light, dint light at all actually. THe proportions have to be right and all the ingredients have to be small and mixed well.
oh sorry- i meant more of liek a experiment thingy that u did like using bunsen burners or watever, growing bacteria. And also, now that i think of it my favorite lab was testing amalyse on starch and such.
Poll: what is everyone favorite lab they did in school (highschool, JH, collegfe, etc)? It could be bio, chemistry, etc.
I personally dont really have a favorite, since i have only taken biology and none of the labs i really liked. Im sure next year (chemistry) ill have plenty of favorite labs
lol i think i made some P once. Wen i was very little i peed on a fireplace that extruded from the wall, so wen there was a fire inside it heated up the top like alot, really hot. S i peed on it. It vaporized instantly and smelled REALLY bad. I mean it reeeked. It was so bad the whole house stunk for a day or 2. so ya, dont do that lol
no- solutes will dissolve in cold water, but slower, becasue the molecules arent movign as fast and equilibrium isnt reached fast. And yes, if a hot solution is saturated, when it cools, the stuff will precipetate out cuz there wont be as mch room.
