  1. What i did is i smothered the copper in hot glue allowing the iron too peek out.

  3. Depends what lab- a genetics lab wouldnt have any for example.
  4. You may have to just buy the aluinum. AN easy way to get aluminum is take one of those razor scooter, and take a file to it. File down however much Al you want. IT works pretty good if you use a fine enough file.

    If you have a sample of gas - say natural gas, and lets say it only contains CH4 and C2H6, and you know the mass of it, how do you calculate the percent of each gas in the sample?
  12. WHy cant you jsut use say KOH or NaOH as a titration base? I know you can but why isnt it "standard"?
  13. ya, same thing with CO. Does CO oxidize also to CO2 in air, or does it take some activation energy?

  20. I have made soap with KOH and i can come out to be hard if you let it sit for a while.
  21. H2O2 and H2SO4--> H2SO5 + H20. H2SO5 is more corrosive than just H2SO4 due to oxidizing capability. I guess that is kindof an example of what you were asking.

  24. Ahh thank you woelen. So if I understand correctly, if the solubility of one of the possible ion combinations has poor solubility then it will be formed, along with the correspondign byproduct.
  25. Also, I'm trying to figure out what the products of Sodium bIcarbonate + Iron (III) sulfate are. Some iron hydroxide surely.
