Your line of thinking is worthy of a cult leader. Good luck with that.

It’s ironic that with each post you write you confirm faith being delusional instead of defending against it - cliché.

No they can’t. They can co-exist as separate entities in ones mind but they cannot work together hand in hand unless you want to promote bad science. There is no reasoning in religious faith. Faith and logical evidence based reasoning are contradictions. Maybe not clinical but certainly a set of incoherent delusions.

Well its not going to be Poland after what I saw us play with Senegal. 90 minutes of passing the ball backwords instead of attacking forward. Lewandowski couldn’t play anything with the team playing so cautiously. One of my friends had an accurate comment: „Put the watches in drawers, the Porsche’s in garages, get on the field and start practising”

That is low isn’t it. I didn’t think to check this, I assumed noone would fake something like this. Maybe its a good idea to delete my post, what a bummer

Glad you slept on it and thought it through +1. I would encourage you to keep on lutking into this topic and expand your knowledge. -
How are galaxies expanding along with space time?

Hmm, I think this might bring even more confusion to the OP as this complicates things. Universe expansion is there for any frame of reference. There are a lot of frames of reference in relation to which Orlando accelerates. -

I love that feeling when going fast over a hill in a car. -

Yes, you need to read Marcuses posts again and wrap your head around it. Think about the bread and raisins again. -

Thats why it is only an analogy. To have a clear view of how it really works think of what Markus wrote - the galaxies do not experience local motion due to expansion, everything gets away from each other because space around everything gets bigger. Any reference frame in our universe experiences that expansion regardless of its velocity or position. You also need to understand that gravitational waves have nothing to do with strong and weak interaction nor electromagnetism, they are all separate phenomena. -

Nice easily digestable explanation of expansion +1. -

Gravity is a seperate force from weak and strong interaction. The strong force holds matter together, the weak force causes radioactive decay and gravity is spacetime curvature under GR - 3 completely different forces/interactions. -
Getting back on topic, faith on top of being an intrinsically baseless delusion has also a way of grasping minds preventing them from reasonable thought - this thread being a very clear example. In this context, religious faith is also a poison which planted in a young mind is very difficult to counter without extraordinary will power from the individual. Human minds, especially young ones are easilly molded into following atractive at first methodologies like believing something without rational thought and reason which give an illusion of feeling whole. Faith is the foundation of every cult and every religious extremist, not only is it an irrational and delusional line of thinking but also the deeper you’re in the more difficult it is to get out. 14 pages of this thread being an accurate example of people subscribing to the line of thinking I explained above, as I stated in one of my earlier posts, in my opinion there are cases where empathy towards suffering should be put in front of rational thought accepting certain religious stances and respecting ones faith but this thread is not one of these cases. Here, like in any other aspect of life you need to earn respect and here, on a science forum it is done by evidence based reasoning and rational thinking. I haven’t seen a shred of will from the 2 posters above to subscribe to this.

Somebody watched too much of „Mars Attacks!”

That might be difficult when literally everybody is doing it.

Normal is subjective, its not ethical for sure but its very common in corporate environments.

False Equivalance comes to mind but its not exactly accurate in this case.

I heard that @Phi for All is a state-of-the-art AI kept secret and tested on this site.

Faith conveniently enables you to think you know everything about everything by subscribing to „God did it” rhetoric. Science and reason is not afraid to say „I don’t know” The former prevents you from acquiring further knowledge, the latter enables you to want to acquire further knowledge. In this sense, faith is not only intrinsically delusional but it also plants seeds for further delusions.

Sure, you are showing that you won’t be satisfied until you find answers which satisfy your pre conceptions. Don’t worry, you are not alone. - its a very common attitude.
