Glad you like it, I love how they modify the axises in post production to show spacetime stretching and keeping c constant. After watching this I was looking at buying their „time globe” but it seems its just a one off device. Its a pitty that laughable products are being offered to schools and something like this isn’t abailable (its fairly simple to make)

Its just an expression that works under the math framework. Just like c^2 or c^4 in equations which doesn’t mean that a velocity is a actually greater than c by a power of 2 or 4.
-
I think its just a different way of expressing acceleration. What the s^2 really means is [(meters per second) per second] - (m/s)/s in other words, that as every second passes, the acceleration will raise by 9.81m when free falling.

You loose FM under a tunnel or in a garage as well.

What would you change about the new SFN?

Yes. Because of all the bigotry. -
Depends on the technology representing colors. Yellow will look a lot different printed on cloth, paper or sprayed onto a metal surface or displayed on a TV screen. Generally colors represented by the RGB model look more vibrant due to a source of light which is needed for the RGB color model. CMyK colors are usually more dull and not as saturated because they are seen only by reflected light. The colors in the picture on the left look like printed CMYK and the colors on the right look like CMYK displayed on a monitor.

Maybe a capacitor giving wrong voltage in the low pass filter but that would have to be a bery powerful ultrasonic wave pulse certainly not possible for a bat. Your banding explanation is very plausible on the other hand, in fact you can see live view flicker on some of the older phones due to 50/60hz.
-
Me too.
-
The ultrasonic waves emitted by the bat increase the resonsnce of the motor which in effect cause the surface of the camera sensor to vibrate causing banding in in the specific region. Now tell me there is zero chance of this happening

Yeah well, I'd rather be miserable (which I'm not) but true to my conscience than warm and cozy submerged in a dillusion. Gymnastic coaches do not preach morality for the past 2 millenia by the way, how is it that you don't see this and keep making these analogies to try to paint church atrocities with lighter colors is beyond me. We had a similar discussion more than a year ago about Islam, you kept avoiding a straigh up answer to my grind with apostates being put to death as in the islamic doctrine. Just like Raider is avoiding any coherent discussion about the Skeptics Annotated Bible containing atrocitity uppon atrocity. Either start refuting those with coherent, rational arguments or admit that you’re both taking a side of a viscious gang which promotes rape and slavery. There is a third option of distancing yourselves from the gang ofcourse and I sincerely hope you will take it.
-
Condemned by Jesus? You can tell that to your fellow dillusionists at Sunday mass today to feel all warm and cosy inside but don’t expect me to react in any other way than vomiting. Tell that Jesus condemned child rape to the parents of the children who were raped by Christian priests in a village in Poland. I hope you wake up Raider, the sooner the better. Its gonna cost you a whole lot to do so but its worth it.
-
Thats good to hear, now listen to this; I despise your dillusion as a Christian and everything that comes with it. Your irrational and harmful attempts at making the bible look like a moral beacon, your blindness to how harmful and double faced religions (including Christianity) are. Christian priests are getting away with raping 11 years olds in Poland as Im writing this (hey, its Easter, let everyone rejoice) I despise your attitude with all my heart and I couldn't care less what your Christian goals are or whether you tell me if I'm wrong or right.

Science does not deal with beliefs, it deals with evidence. There is equally no evidence for god/gods as there is for pink unicorns. His statement claims that not playing golf is not a sport and not that atheists do not have to think to come to conclusions, stop the strawman for ffs.
-
Even if you succeed at convincing someone bound by religion of this, you're gonna get a quick "So you believe in nothing right?!" attacking you for not being capable of morals. It's the very definition of pigeon chess.

advice on making such a liquid crystal screen (shutter)

Oh, okay, I thought its the same subject as this: -
"Help debunk: "Researchers at CERN break The Speed of Light”
koti replied to Silvestru's topic in Speculations
Ha, interesting...I visited CERN and wasn’t aware they pumped particles to Italy, +1. I did read about that calibration error resulting in erroneous data somewhere though. Good April fools prank anyway There was the coffee causing cancer thing all over my feed yesterday -
Where is the line between religion and a moral/ethical/philosophical framework? Couldn’t we just put you on an atheist shelf?

Why 2 threads? -
"Help debunk: "Researchers at CERN break The Speed of Light”
koti replied to Silvestru's topic in Speculations
Well since its piublished on April 1st and its a ridiculous claim it looks like an April fools gag „neutrinos pumped from CERN near Geneva to Gran Sasso in Italy” <— this should trigger your red light, lol Theres also an April Fools tag at the bottom of the article, that might be useful too -
So if religious people, agnostics and atheists are in the 90% where are the remaining 10%? Your’e making as much sense as a statement that boldness is a hair color <— so much for atheism being a form of religion. Props to @iNow for the boldness hair color.

Nah, I think its below him, he’d not waste time on such trivialities

There is also the 2008 documentary by Bill Maher „Religious”, its an interesting watch: https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0815241/

I think you’re right but...if somehow there would be means of determining that there is nothing left, we’d have to conclude that there is volume left...otherwise there wouldn’t be any means of determining. Its a paradox I think. But as a non practical thought experiment I think you’re right.
