Light: visible or invisible?
koti replied to The_Believer1's topic in Modern and Theoretical Physics
Its not a valid question because whatever you see is due always and only to photons hitting your retina. It doesn’t matter whether you look at a car, through a telescope at a body 600mln light years away or at an atom of helium through a scanning electron microscope. I just don’t see the alternative definition of „see” which you are trying to convey here. Edit: The electron microscope is a bad example, its a different method of observation through bombarding the specimen with particles and getting a result in a detector. -

That's not a valid question in my opinion. -

I like that, good for facebook conversations. -

See1 = See2. In fact there is only one „see” unless black butter skate oven. -
Evolution works more like a tree with various branches growing from each other, some dry out and fall off, some connect and form other branches, its a large and complex system. It doesn’t work in a simple manner like pop science tells us. You might find this helpful: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution_of_mammals

I agree. I generally am capable of refraining myself from posting in these kinds of threads but this time I failed. I sincerely hope though, that I will never have such advanced dementia that I will claim 1*0=1. Scary, isn't it.
-
At least billasker is seeing that it doesn’t make sense to listen to this guy’s nonsense. I will sleep better tonight knowing that a young mans mind was prevented from crap being fed into it.
-
Okay, so your proof tells us that you don’t know the difference between mutiplication and addition. Please take the time to look this up: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_operations
-
Since this thread is already derailed by you into the realm of nonsense, why don’t you give us a mathematical proof of what you state in your paper: 1*0=1.
-
I am here to learn too and you are wasting my time. Not to mention billasker who is 16 years old and many other young people who will read this who you feed your bullshit to.
-
As for being here to learn and just chatting around its all good. You don’t get to feed people nonsense like your 1*0=1 or undefined expression like 1/0 on a science site though.
-
1/0=1 and 1x0=1 all over your paper, again this BS? Really? I sincerely hope that you are more competent at being a Vet than at math. Why don't you read this for starters: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Division_by_zero

How old are you Scotty? Not that it matters around here but if you’re a kid it would certainly get you some additional patience from the people who struggle with you in this thread.
-
They had physicists advisement on many of the Start Trek TNG episodes. There is no reason to conflate a perfectly good scifi series with religious delusions and conspiracy theories which Scotty99 is presenting.
-
Last chance to share evidence on your nonsensical statement that „the science community is debating behind closed doors the validity of the copernican principal” Your next post will contain data/evidence or I am reporting this thread to get trashed and locked.
-
Yep, your threads including this one will be locked but not deleted and will exist showing your „work”. Congratulations on showing everybody here now and in the future that you are full of **it.
-
What you feel is irrelevant in this case. You keep on telling us that we should trust you and that you feel that science took a wrong turn and now you tell us to deduce things from your utter nonsense which you insist you have data/evidence on but refuse to give it. That is not how we roll here buddy.
-
My mistake, good catch Silvestru. In the same sentence Im using both "observable universe" and "universe" which is obviously not the same thing.
-
You really should start backing up your nonsense with evidence. While at it, you might also learn some respect when addressing members of this forum.
-
Im sory but no. Earth is the 3rd planet from the sun in our solar system which is placed on the edge of the milky way galaxy which is not in the center ot the universe. Unless you want to state that every point in space is at the center of the universe this is not true.
-
By what they are saying it is safe to assume that they are completely clueless.
-
You are convinced that there is some secret debate behind closed doors amongst the scientific community about the validity of the copernican principle. You are not backing up this ridiculous nonsense with evidence. Start doing so please.
-
Science takes intuition into account but on a very different level from what you are presenting. Talented physisists and mathematicians for example, have better results dealing with extremely difficult problems when using intuition but that needs a lot of knowledge and rigour - you need to be very smart, experienced and knowledgeable to be able to use intuition effectively. When not having basic knowledge (like yourself), intuition is a dead end.

Where does gravity (most likely) come from?
koti replied to dordle-loddle's topic in Astronomy and Cosmology
We know that gravity originates from mass/energy, they are equivalent under General Relativity as the famous E=mc^2 equation tells us. We currently do not observe any other sources of gravity and it is fairly certain that mass/energy is the only source. It is certain that mass/energy is required to curve spacetime which we perceive as gravity.
