  1. You didn't like the first post?
  2. everlasting quantum coherence http://phys.org/news/2016-10-quantum-physicists-everlasting-coherence.html
  3. An Optical Frequency Comb doesn't think the idea is so dumb.
  4. Too ridiculous? Well, so is quantum weirdness to begin with.
  5. Tell me you clicked the link and then I'll believe you.
  6. Did you click the link? They say this:

  9. I'm reading though a free fall paper now http://www.imperial.ac.uk/media/imperial-college/research-centres-and-groups/the-centre-for-cold-matter/public/Florian-Baumg%C3%A4rtner-(2011).pdf "Atom interferometry in free fall demonstrates fundamental quantum physics and a new level of technology readiness for future experiments in space." https://physics.aps.org/articles/v6/23
  10. Zing! Soo much sass. I would happily use the correct term for an unmeasured particle if you have one. okay, I will search around for freefall experiments.
  11. The point of the experiment is to see if gravity has anything to do with a particle when in it's wave form (unmeasured). Is true zero g required, good question. Umm, free falling would be worth a shot if zero g is going to be problematic. hmm, can I get into trouble with the government for launching something like this? If the balloon carried a rocket, could it launch the experiment further up into space after the balloon became equalized?
  12. How much helium would be required to send this up to space?
  13. Quantum Polarity is a cop-out. You sound like someone that has convinced themselves of a lie. I get that it is necessary to pass the QM tests at school, but I want to bring this back down to reality.
  14. My goal it to figure out what the hell is going on during the double slit experiment. I can't figure out why you guys have a problem with a particle being a wave OR a particle at a given moment. The slit experiment shows us that a particle changes it's path dependent on which state it is in, why is this not good enough for you?
  15. I understand that you guys turn a blind eye to wave phenomena. It's getting ridiculous.
  16. You want to turn the word into a math phrase ..well, we might as well call it "magic". Whatever term you want to use to describe when a particle is in it's wave state.
  17. I've heard this somewhere before. You are assuming that the particle has mass when in superposition. Please txt Stephen Hawking for me
  18. Are you saying it would be dangerous? I'll accept any or all double slit experiments in zero g. If you are saying there is no point in doing it ..I say NAY!
  19. I think you smart guys don't want more info on the wave phenomenon because it might upset your views on QM.
  20. I was just making the case that crazier results have already been found. I'm going to start a kickstarter for my balloon.
  21. It would be pretty shocking if it did ..almost as shocking as finding a particle in two places at the same time.
  22. I'm hoping "free particle" means one that isn't measured. There isn't enough evidence that a particle is a wave at the same exact moment. Maybe I could send a double slit up myself via big balloon.
  23. So, you aren't going to make a call to NASA for me? How do you calculate the gravitational effect on a free particle?
  24. Just set up a double slit (in zero g) and let the particles fly. The interference pattern might give us more insight into wave phenomenon.
  25. I'm not interested in gravity on measured particles.
